West Coast to East Coast

Saying goodbye to family and friends and the town you've lived in for most of you life is hard. It's painful and difficult. The thing I hate the most about being so far from family is that you can't just drive 10 minutes to see them. But knowing that there are so many ways to reach them eases the heartache just a bit. We woke up bright and early, grabbed our coffee from our favorite spot, Peet's and headed out to the East. 5 days. It took 5 days to drive from Sacramento to Philadelphia. The drive felt a little rushed because we did had to be in Philadelphia by November 1st to get the keys to our new apartment. The first day was over 12 hours and that really drained us, especially Mako since he was doing most of the driving. Our first night was in Evanston, WY. Grabbed some Taco Bell for dinner and called it a night. While we were planning the next day, Mako realized that if we were still pushing for 12 hrs+ we'd be there two days before November 1st.
