Ridge turned ONE on 3/18.
I can hardly believe it.
With Jake's work schedule out in California, we thought it would be best to have his birthday party on Saturday, March 26 so he could come home for it. It was a good idea until about 2 days before he was supposed to come home. He got called out on storm work and wasn't able to come home for his party. Hopefully I took enough pictures so he can feel like he didn't miss out on anything. We love you Jake! Ridge can't wait for you to come home and eat some ice cream with him.
When these pictures were uploaded, they kind of were done randomly. I apologize for that, but hopefully you will all get the idea of what a great first birthday our Baby Ridge had!
Our Nana sent Ridge a cool dump truck toy! Kanyon had fun helping him open it and showing him how it worked. She was the first one to tell me it needed batteries....
Kanyon has a funny way of saying "CHEESE" when taking her picture lately. We have gotten many pictures with this strange look on her face. We made cupcakes and here are the ones she was frosting and creating.
On the day of Ridge's birthday party, I made homemade whipped cream frosting for his cupcakes.
He got to lick the spoon for breakfast (only 'cause it was his birthday- wink wink)

Kanyon wanted to help that morning too. So I gave her some graham crackers to frost, but she was obviously more interested in just eating the frosting. Handfuls of it. Literally.
We had a Baseball themed party for Ridge. Complete with things you'd find at a ballpark. CrackerJacks, popcorn, Baby Ruth's, hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, lemonade......
Kanyon and Cousin Carson
The kids all got goody bags with baseball stuff in it.
Baseball hacky sacks, baseball cards, baseball stickers, a baseball pencil that says "happy birthday Ridge", a baseball beach ball, baseball tattoos, baseball candies....
Kanyon & Buddy Bryant
Mason & The Catcher
The kids used him to practice their pitching skills.
well, they could practice their pitching skills....among other things......
This was Logan's idea of how to use him
It then rubbed off on Kanyon
Kanyon & Bryant showing off their sticker creations...
We were so happy to see Peggy! What a sweet surprise!
Our baseball cupcakes....white chocolate cupcakes with whipped cream frosting....some even covered with coconut. mmmmm.....
Jessie & her daughter Emma with baby Ridge on his birthday! They are best friends. Emma has a little brother Lane who also came, but he was not about to be tamed for a picture.
Happy Birthday, Ridge!
When it came time for Ridge to open his gifts, all the kids swarmed in to help. I'm not sure that Ridge even touched a piece of wrapping paper with all the help he was getting, but he sure was a good sport about it all!
Time for the CUPCAKES!
Lis & her daughter Addy also came to wish Ridge a happy birthday. Ridge is super excited because Lis is having a baby BOY this summer! Whoo hoo!!
I loved this picture of Jamie, her daughter Raegan, and Ridge. You can just hear Raegans thoughts :
"Come on baby Ridge, look THIS way" So Classic!
Now here's the life of the party! The Andersons!
Peggy even brought Kanyon a little gift. She loved this little pony! By the end of the night she had about 20 hair clips in the pony's hair. Thank you Peggy!!
Kanyon helping unwrap another awesome gift from Nana. We love NY!
Granny and a couple of her grand-babies. They were singing "Happy Birthday" to settle down for the evening.
