My academic interests include: fanfiction & the building of affective communities; eros in the classroom; feminism; composition pedagogy; writing theory; WPA; poetry & poetics; creative nonfiction; the application of creative writing pedagogical methods across the curriculum; issues of queerness, gender, & authority in the humanities classroom; trauma theory; the Gurlesque; longform sportswriting; & cultural materialism.
