Chance and Melanie

My brother Chance and now sister-in-law (woohoo) Melanie got married in August.  It was so fun to go home to Washington for the week.  It was a beautiful wedding and the reception was a blast!

My very favorite picture.  Grandma and Grandpa dancing.  They will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary in November.

A Little Monday Randomness

I made this yesterday for dinner. It was yummy and SUPER easy! Next time I think I will use red potatoes and add a few carrots.

Just finished this series last night. Definitely not the kind of books I usually enjoy, but I REALLY did like them.

I will definitely be seeing this in March.

Loving these quotes today.

I've had these songs on repeat all weekend.

Lastly, I finally saw Breaking Dawn Part 1 this weekend. Don't hate me, but it was a big time let down. Kinda weirded me out and they could have cut out about half of it.

Can't Beat Ten Bucks and Boys With Guitars!

I'm pretty much down for any concert that's only ten bucks, let alone a band I actually like. Seriously, you can barely go to a movie for that. So when a friend said she could get tickets to Plain White T's for ten bucks, I was all over that. I wish there were pictures to post, but apparently taking a camera into the concert will get ya kicked out (we witnessed a couple violators get the boot). So here 's the next best thing. Enjoy!

A Little Letter

Dear Summer,
I am writing this letter to let you know that I think it's time to break up. Thank you for the sunshine, sleeping in, tons of books read, vacation and overall lazy days. However, it's time for something I love much more, FALL!!!!

The Night Before . . .

Just a couple thoughts on the night before a new school year. Trust me when I say teachers get nervous too, but mostly excited!

"Teaching is an exhausting job. I did not, however, expect to be emotionally exhausted. I suppose the easiest way out of this dilemma would be to make myself emotionally unavailable to my students . . . Not this teacher. This teacher can't help but share in some of these emotional moments. I can't turn off a portion of myself when I walk into the classroom. It's either all of me or nothing. "
