Her Battle Won and Life's Begun
She stood there framed by the garden arch
Picture perfect with a radiant smile
It's hard to imagine the road she's faced
This woman of grace and style
She experienced the worst that life can bring
She's fought a brave & a valiant fight
With a positive mind and stoic grace
She fought with all her mite
I watch her as she moves about
Getting ready for the year ahead
Instead of chemo and medical checks
She'll be milking goats instead (quite literally)
She's off to Serbia on Tuesday night
To meet with her family who left last week
To live with them in a quaint mud brick shack
With an interior of Shabby Chic
The year ahead will help her
She'll have time to heal and rest
Country cuisine and warm red wine
And doing the things she likes the best
With an optimistic outlook
She's sure to live a wonderful life
A life of love and memorable times
And a life that free from strife
