Joel and I spent Christmas in Santa Barbara with my family. On Monday, we went for a walk with my folks along the beautiful breakwater. . . the waves were perfect and the surfers were happy. I even ran into some old friends. It was a lovely way to spend the afternoon!
Mary and Louis worked with my youth group in high school. I love these guys, and it was a treat to run into them.

Joel and I headed up to Santa Barbara a few days early to spend time with mom and dad. On Thursday we met dad at the courthouse and headed off for lunch. I love the beautiful spiral staircase; this was where Joel and I met for pictures on the day of our wedding!
