Katja Tanskanen, singer Katja T
I am Katja Tanskanen and a singer-songwriter/producer Katja T from Vaasa Finland.
As a singer my songs Lucky Me, Iron Chain, Ice Cream, Crazy Ride, Purple Pain, Blue Summer Car, Life Is a Game, Il y a du vent, Not My Type, My La La La and Steal My Soul have been played on 800 radios in over 150 countries. I have got success on many music charts and achieved several number one positions on the radio playlists. I have composed and produced a duet song ”Love Is Burning” for myself and a famous Greek tenor Dino Kalyvas.
As a songwriter I have about 200 recorded songs. I have got one gold record. I have written songs to many well known singers. I work by myself or as a topliner/producer in the teams. I have studied with award-winning songwriters in Lafo Songwriters Academy and I have worked with many well-known and awarded composers and producers like a multi-platinum award winning songwriter, producer and guitarist Janne Hyöty. I have been an executive producer to some successful artists in Finland, Greece, Sweden and Azerbaijan.
I have studied at the university music, creative writing and journalism. As a poetess I have written a book ”Aplodeja”. I have studied classical and jazz singing with opera singer/artist manager Rita Ahonen’s leadership and pop style in the X Factor UK 2nd place singer’s ”Saara Aalto Singing Masterclass” and music theory/violin playing in Espoon Musiikkiopisto and private lessons.
I have had two big publishers, internationally awarded Sugar House Publishing and Magnum Music, which is one of Finland’s biggest publishers.
I’m very interested in cooperating with all professional songwriters, singers, producers, publishers and the media.
