Another Six Inches of Snow

Snow Showers

Well, with another six inches of snow last night, I have nothing better to do than to take funny videos of Casey dumping snow on his head. :) Of course, Dodge is enjoying this as well.

Videos of the snow

I thought I would include a few video's of Casey and I in the snow. I hope you enjoy them.

Dog Party in the Snow!

Tired yet?

Dog party in the snow!! Dodge was really in the mood to have a party so he invited over Daisy, Bruiser and Delilah to run around in the snow. They had a ton of fun. We took him to the field across the street and let them all chase balls, each other, and snowballs.

Bruiser is wondering what Dodge is doing in the air?

A Winter Wonderland...

Our First Snow in Monroe:

ImageFrozen Lords Lake

Well, Casey and I awoke to about 7 inches of snow on Thursdsay morning and by the end of the day we had about 10 inches. I frankly don't remember this much snow since the winter of 1993. The only reason I remember this is because my Dad, sister and I built a Dinosaur out of snow that was about six feet tall. It was awesome.

Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow!

Of course, Casey and I stayed home on Wednesday, like everyone else, because the snow storm was supposed to come in Wednesday...Well forcasters, you were a day late.
ImageOur Streets are covered

So we are stuck here in Monroe and we are expected to have a huge wind/snow storm on Saturday night. Will we make it to Christmas at my parents in Renton??

View from our Garage, it looks like we aren't going anywhere.

Dodge has been having a blast. He tried to jump up in the air and catch first snow flakes that fell last Sunday. We captured some more fun snow pictures. ImageImage

How The Grinch Stole Christmas!

A Christmas Card??? HA

I should probably clarify this Christmas card...every year, Casey goes into his creative closet and thinks up, goofy, crazy, out of the box ideas for our Christmas Card and our Santa Picture. The closet is dark and he shuts the door behind him imagining these colorful ideas in his mind. Might I mention, that he does not come out until he has developed the perfect idea in his mind. Therefore, I present the "Grinch Who Stole Christmas" Card.

I am not quite sure if he is deliberately trying to make our family look foolishly silly because he knows we will fall into his trap or if is just trying to be completely different than everyone else. Actually, he probably does a little bit of both. He made Dodge's antlers out of paper mache' and paint. He completely made his Grinch costume and painted his face. He drank quite a bit of Mountain Dew to make his eyes Yellow.
Of course, the good news for me is that I got a new pair of pajamas! However, I had a headache from the "Kimmy Luu Hair due".

So with this whole production, I present to you the 2008 Christmas Card.

P.S.: The Santa Photo is coming soon!

Finally It Feels Like Christmas...

Dodge's First Snow!

I love the first snow fall of the year, especially in Seattle. Last night we watched the snow coming down in our street lamp from our bedroom window. Somehow it seems so magical. We took Dodge out last night and he was jumping into the air trying to eat the snowflakes falling from the sky.

We got up this morning and walked over the park so Dodge could play in the snow for the first time. Here are some pictures of our fun morning.

Crisp October Days

Dodge at 5 Months!

Casey and I wanted some pictures together with Dodge. Ed took us out on a crisp beautiful Sunday morning in October and captured a few pictures of us. He was squirmy the whole time, but we ended up getting some good pictures of the three of us. His puppy face is no longer. :(

Lake Roesiger

Image
Lake Roesiger

Childhood stories and memories are told as Casey takes Dodge and I to one of his favorite places, Lake Roesiger, which is about 20 minutes from our house in Monroe up from highway 2. It was a gorgeous, September, Friday afternoon, some of the trees already changing colors. Dodge was restless from being left at home and was anxiously waiting to get out of the car and run around. He has found a love for chasing a rubber bumper, but oddly enough, won't chase tennis balls. Here are some pictures of our fun afternoon together.

Our Summer Overview

April:

Casey and I bought our first home out in Monroe. We saw the house online and did a drive by one night. We called the listing agent and someone had already made an offer on the house. He said he was sure that it would go through. We decided to start looking around the Monroe area. Three weeks went by and our real estate agent called us with the news that the house that we had fallen in love with was available. The last buyers financing fell through. We went and saw the house that night, made an offer the next day and moved in the end of April.

May:

Casey and I went to Wilmington Delaware to be apart of Dayne and Kelly Mickelson's Wedding. It was a gorgeous, classic wedding. We had a lot of fun hanging out with them after the wedding in Pennselvania before returning back home.

Image June:

I was in my cousin, Meghan's wedding. It was beautiful outside on a golf course. It was wonderful being apart of her special day.

As many of you know, I have known five people with brain cancer and wanted to do something. I started the first ever Seattle Brain Cancer Walk, which occurred on June 28th. We had about 600 people attend the walk and we raised over $120,000. http://www.braincancerwalk.org/

July:

We added a new member to our family on July 7th, Dodge! We rescued him from the Evergreen Golden Retriever in Bellevue. Someone found his Mom on the side of the road in Port Ludlow giving birth to puppies. She had 9 puppies! We have had so much fun with him.

July was a busy month. We had to trench our yard because of flooding. Every weekday after work and every weekend was spent on our front and back yard. We put the trench in, planted grass and built a fence. It was a ton of work and all of July.

July 26th we took Dodge to the beach in Sequim to see Casey's Grandparents. It was a very fun day. Dodge loved the water and the beach. We wore him out. Ahhh, Casey...such a good daddy ;)

Image August:

We had a couple of weddings in August. Our good friends Sean and Jaquelyn got married in Bothell. It was beautiful.

ImageAugust 29th, a trip to Colorado. Our friends James and Erin got married in Windsor, Colorado. Casey and I slept in our rental Prius the first night...that was an adventure. The wedding was also very fun. We had a great time with their families and friends.
