Half Way There...Oohhh Oohhh..

20 Weeks:Image

Well, I have an allergic reaction all over my belly from something...I had this same rash when I was about four weeks pregnant and for some reason it is back. :( It's okay though, I can't really complain if that is my worst pregnancy symptom.

Sooo, I am pretty sure I felt the first (so called "flutters") on Wednesday the 27th. I had made a really good berry smoothy and about 40 minutes later, I swear, Baby Hogle did a summersault in my stomach. It was weird! I probably won't feel the first kicks for a few more weeks, I have an anterior placenta, meaning it is in the front as a barrier between my tummy and the baby. He will have to get a little stronger for me to feel through the cushion.

Seaside Oregon

Fun at the Beach:ImageImageImage

ImageCasey and I decided to take a trip together to Seaside Oregon. We used to go there in College and had not been there in over six years. We thought it would be fun to bring our pup and have a little family trip. We had a great time despite the cold overcast weather, while it was sunny and warm in Seattle, might I add.

We took Dodge to the beach and he loved it. He got so sandy and salty. We drove for a bit south and found a really nice river that he could swim in to rinse off...it was perfect. It saved us from giving him a bath! He also got to sleep with us on the Hotel bed, which he never gets to do at home, it was a special treat for him and not so special for Casey and I. ;)
Here are a few videos that are pretty entertaining!

19 Week Ultrasound!!

BABY HOGLE:
Image Weighing in at only 9 oz and measuring 10 inches long...Baby Hogle is growing strong. And yes, we did confirm out there for all of you who were still hoping and praying for a GIRL...IT'S A BOY!!! No mistaken there. But all that matters is that he is doing really well and he is a healthy baby. In the picture above, his head is on the left hand side and he is looking staight at you. He is currently in a breech position in my belly with his head right behind my belly button and his feet towards the ground.

Image In this picture, his feet are crossed on the left side of the picture! He's just hanging out, relaxing.

19 Weeks!!!

Belly Bump:
Image

Hmmm, is it just me or is my belly, pointy? It looks a little lopsided! Well, I can't really complain much. I have been sleeping really well and eating really well. I have gained six pounds, which I think is pretty good for being almost half way through my pregnancy.

I keep telling myself that I need to start working on my biseps. Since, I am announcing this on my blog...how about I do 30 reps of bicep 5lb weights everyday. You can keep me accountable that I am doing this activity. I have held three baby boys in the last month all ranging in ages between 6 and 7 months. Holy cow, my arms start shaking after, ohh A Minute! No wonder God didn't just hand you over a 16lb baby...he knew that our arms would need gradual growth.

Baby is movin, but I can't feel him. I lay really still and try and feel those flutters that everyone talks about, but I am pretty sure the flutters I am feeling are just gas bubbles. : Sometimes, my belly talks or makes noises and I just pretend that it is Baby H talking to me and signing me a song. Speaking of signing a song...I am a little nervous I am going to cause our kid to have ADHD. I am testing computer sites and sometimes I get a little antsy sitting at the computer for six hours and I find myself humming, signing, laughing, talking, making noises I can't even describe, but the point is...it is non-stop noise. Poor little guy is probably thinking, "Shut Up, I am trying to sleep in here" I am sure when he is big enough, he is going to kick me right in the gut to get me to be quiet. Ha ha that will show me.

Changing Table/Dresser

Ooowweeee:

Sooooo, we found this dresser in our closet!!!

Image

We forgot to take a before picture of the exact dresser, but here is the exact dresser, but the taller version. We thought since this was such a great dresser from the 60's we would just update it a little bit and use it as the changing table/dresser. Casey's Mom used this for all three kids as their changing table and dresser. I found a paint that was an exact match to our crib...they look great together. So this was our Sunday project together and we had a lot of fun.

Belly Bump Update

18 Weeks

Image
Okay, Okay, here is a side profile of the belly bump for all of you belly viewers. :) I am still feeling really well. During my first trimester, I was having a hard time sleeping through the night. I would get up constanly and not be able to go back to sleep. However, I am so thankful that for the last few weeks I have been sleeping so soundly...I sure hope this deep sleep will last as long as possible, pretty please!

So, I celebrated my first Mother's Day! It was such a wonderful surprise. I totally wasn't thinking about Mother's Day for myself. Casey had to work on Saturday and he came home with a dozen white roses and a gift bag! I seriously almost started crying, I am sure it was just pregnancy hormones :) Dodge got me a little stuffed animal Dog holding it's baby. And Baby Jr. got me two shirts that said Mommy stuff. Both of our wonderful Mom's also got me a little something. It was just such a wonderful Mother's Day.

Casey's Mom has been shopping for awesome deals on clothes. She has stocked up our closet with the cutest outfits for "Our Little Man" :) It is absolutely so much fun to be getting little clothes already. To be honest, I am pretty sure he has more clothes than his Daddy and it won't be long until he has more clothes than his Mommy! :) Thanks Andea!!

So my parents decided that they really wanted to get Casey and I our crib. Last Friday, my parents brought over our crib as a surprise. I thought I would show you a picture. We just love the crib. Thank you, Mom and Dad!

ImageMy mission now, is to figure out the bedding so that I can pick a color to paint the nursery. There are too many choices out there it has been hard to narrow it down!

We will have another update next week. We have our second ultrasound next Wednesday. This ultrasound is the fetal development ultrasound and I am pretty sure we get a video!!!

We love you all!

16 Weeks With a Belly Bump!

I guess it's time:
Image

It was Sunday, April 26th and my tummy just popped. :) I thought I would share with you my little man, as a side profile! I am still feeling really good. Dodge and I get up every morning and go walking together for about 40 minutes. I have been spending my time working between about five different employers to help them out. I am actually loving it, however, I am finding that I almost have less time than I did working at Northwestern! But of course, much less stressed out.

I don't have any unusual cravings for food, but I do love a good Mexican dinner and of course, chocolate. :) Ice cream still is not sitting that well with my tummy so I stick to lots of milk. However, the one weird craving is the smell of sulpher...I light matches and blow them out just to smell the smoke. Ha ha...I am weird I know.

I am getting eager to start decorating the little guys room though. I have been looking at paint samples to see what I like the best. I always said I hated yellow and that I would never paint the baby's room yellow, but I have to say that the color is growing on me. I think green will probably be the final color of choice, but we shall wait and see. I am sure I will change my mind ten times before I choose the color of paint and then after it is painted I will want the other colors. Casey has also liked green and yellow, but for obvious other reasons....THE SONICS. :)

Last but not least, I have not felt those little butterflies yet. Any time now, I am sure that I will have little fishies swimming around in there, but until then, I will be patient, because once it starts....it's not gonna stop.

Okay, this is last. Casey is working on yet another video!!! It is going to be quite funny and a little out there. Make sure to check back in a few days because it should be posted.

Just a few tips before you watch this next video...

1.) Make sure you have gone to the restroom before attempting to watch this video.

2.) Make sure you are not drinking or eating anything while watching this video, it could be hazardous to your health.

3.) Make sure you remember who is making, editing, filming and creating this movie...MY HUSBAND, CASEY!!! :)

Cheers, Enjoy!
