24 Weeks

This is the Last Week of the 2nd Trimester:
I know this might sound a little weird, but I am a little sad to almost be in my third trimester. I absolutely love being pregnant and the weeks seem to be flying by, so quickly. I hope that this does not come across as being selfish, but I am truly trying to enjoy my last time alone, and with my Husband.

This past weekend was a surprise, Casey and his Mom painted the nursery! Everything is coming together so well. The colors of the nursery are Blue, Green, Yellow and Red. We also registered at Babies R Us on Saturday. Casey sure surprised me, we had a good time together. He was probably faking his awesome attitude, but he fooled me. ;)

Baby's kicks are getting stronger. I can feel him rolling, turning and moving around and I love it. So far, I cannot feel him while I am sleeping so I am still sleeping really well. I hope this continues as long as possible. ;) The books say, that he is about 13 inches long and weighs just about a pound and a half.

23 Weeks

Roll with the Punches...

At 21 weeks I really started to feel small little movements and kicks. By 22 weeks I was feeling more and more punches and kicking. Now, I am feeling him about every few hours. Yesterday, I was sitting on the couch and I was watching my stomach, I could feel him on the right side and I saw my stomach move...it was awesome. It is definitely not creepy like some people say, Casey... ;)

I had a Doctor's apointment today and baby's heartbeat was at 145 beats per minute. I am up about 12 lbs...yikes it seems so weird watching the scale get higher and higher. No more ice cream and Pizza...that is what the Doctor said. :

Keeping Our Minds Off of Kimmy's Absence:

Dodge and Casey on top of the Index Wall. Bruiser and Dodge became a two-headed dog, Casey almost threw Dodge off the cliff, and Dodge showed off his new trick 'the jumping kiss'.


Casey and Dodge really missed Kim while she was away. Casey cried himself to sleep every night and Dodge began to drink heavily. Only the bond between Man and his Best Friend could have got them through this difficult time.

They had a fun time on the hike with Ed, Whit, Nate, Jamie, and Bruiser. Grandma Andea stayed in Woodinville with Avery and began to warp her fragile little mind.

Viva Las Vegas...

Vegas in a whole new light...

Vegas was a blast. Shawna is one of my very best friends and I don't get to see her very often. She lives in Las Vegas with her Husband, Ryan. I got to play my pregnant card and made Ryan sleep on the couch the whole time I was there ;) Okay, okay, no cards to play at the Watt's House...Ryan graciously offered the bed to me and I accepted very quickly. Thanks Ryan!

Luckily, since it is Vegas, everyone has a pool and air conditioning. We laid by the pool and floated almost everyday. Shawna made me yummy smoothies and yummy food. The weather was absolutely perfect, mid 70's to mid 80's the whole time. I never once, was too hot.

I am pretty sure Casey has already passed one of his traits on to our Little Man :( (Being in the Sun AND hating the sun). Every time I tried to lay out in the sun, I got nauseous. So my excitement about a tan faded really quickly along with my tan :(

Vegas would not be Vegas without visiting Mama Jackie and Papa Pat (Shawna's Mom and Step Dad). They always make the best food and let us just float in their wonderful pool and listen to music. It was great seeing them again.

Our friend, Kelly McDonald is in a show in Las Vegas called Le Reve at the Wynn Hotel. It is a Circ Show in all water. Kelly got us three tickets so Shawna, Ryan and I went to see her and it was awesome. We sat three rows back from the stage, which was all water. The first picture I posted is the stage of the show. We had a great night and it was awesome to see Kelly. She is so incredibly talented!

Well, I guess I will close it here...the rest of the stories have to stay in VEGAS!!! :)

22 Weeks!

Baby Bump Update:

The little guy is moving around a lot. I feel him a few times a day now. Mostly in the morning, middle of the day and at night. I was driving home today from an interview and he kicked me right in the gut, maybe he has intuition about the interview ;)

I am leaving today for Las Vegas! I am headed to see Shawna. I am really excited to spend some time with her. I never get to see her much since she moved to Las Vegas. I hope Casey and Dodge will enjoy the little break from their pregnant lady. :

Little Kicker, Yea!

21 Weeks:

This is the start of my sixth month. I just can't believe how fast it is going. I have good news!!! I felt my first little kick on Tuesday, June 2nd. It was awesome. I was just about to eat my breakfast and I felt a little kick in the lower part of my abdomen, he must have been hungry too. Tuesday, was the first day that I really could tell that it was him moving around in my stomach. He was really active! I really have not felt the "flutters", but I feel more of a rolling feeling. Jr. seems to be the most active in the morning and at night, but it might be when I am in the calmest part of my day.
