Mullenaux Family Reunion 2012

Cody and I were in charge of the Mullenaux reunion this year.  We decided to have it at the Elks campground in Young, AZ.  We had been there before for another reunion and really liked the setup.  They have cabins, bathrooms, and a nice lodge with a good kitchen.  Cody pretty much planned the whole reunion himself.  I give a little bit of input on a few things but not much.  At the time I was the Asst. Stake Camp Director for girls camp so I was busy helping plan girls camp for our Stake which was like the next week after the reunion.  Everyone had lots of fun and enjoyed all of the fun things Cody had planned.  Our theme was Take it to the Limit.  Instead of doing shirts we made water bottles with a picture of someone rappelling on the front and Take it to the Limit underneath.

Everyone playing games on 7/19/12 - We did rappelling and lots of other fun things during the day that I did not take pictures of - After we were done rappelling and we were going to drive back to the campground Aubrey decided she wanted to go again.  Unfortunately she got her hair caught in the rope on the way down and was dangling in a tree.  Garrett was able to climb up and help her out.  Cody was about to rappell down and help cut her hair free.  Garrett somehow managed to untangle her before Cody ended up coming down.  A pretty good chunk of her hair got ripped out but at least it was underneath where you couldn't see it.  I think she still has a bald spot there now.  The hair never grew back.

Cody had another round of fun games planned. This game you tied a cracker behind your back and you had to go around and try to break other peoples crackers with a rolled up newspaper. Everyone had lots of fun. Unfortunately Bailey slipped and broke his ankle chasing after some people.  Garrett took him to the ER.  They gave him crutches but I don't think he actually had it casted until they got back home.

Cody did a good job planning a fun reunion.  Our kids slept good in the cabin.  Tyson was in the port a crib and Jackson shared the bottom bunk with Cody.  At night you could hear him rolling into the side of the cabin wall but thankfully he never fell off the bed.  On the way home we had the windows rolled down and Jackson had just finished a root beer.  It was kind of hot and we were on a windy road.  I looked back and Jackson looked white as a ghost.  Pretty soon after that he pucked all over.  We pulled over and cleaned him up.  Thankfully there weren't any other issues on the way home.  I am guessing a windy road, some heat, and to much sugar were not a good mix.
