First Wedding Shower

We had our first wedding shower last night...a tool and gadget shower. Steven and I had a wonderful time thanks to our fabulous hostesses who threw a great party.
Here's Russ, the master chef and master "shucker" of the corn.
He fixed boston butt, chicken and corn on his master smoker.

ImageSteven has been so kind to his friends as they have gotten married through the years with giving them a plunger for a wedding present....so his friends were nice enough to return the favor and give us a plunger too. We walked away with six plungers at the end of the night.
With that being said, if anyone has a need for plunger, please let me know...since we only have two bathrooms in the house.

Thanks to everyone who helped plan the party...we are so blessed and thankful for our wonderful friends.

Dad's Day

We enjoyed a great Father's Day lunch at Iguana Grill after church.
Dad was surprised to get the Dremel that he told Mom he wanted...especially since he told me 30 minutes prior to opening it that he knew Mom didn't get it for him.
Kristen and I are very blessed to have a wonderful dad! He definitely takes care of his girls!

A little birthday celebrating and a fun afternoon on the lake

Last night, we had a little party for Kristen for her upcoming birthday this week.
I made her a chocolate cake...I added the sprinkles, but didn't Steven do a great job on the "K"?

Image We know how much Kristen enjoys opening presents...so she savored each and every one of them and read all of her cards very slowly...out loud...so we could all enjoy in the moment.
Kristen was kind enough to share her moment and let Matt open his presents as well...Matt's birthday was this past week...on Flag Day!
The Beasley's came and spent the day with us today. We all got down to the pier before lunch and it started raining! I mean pouring rain, the wind...just a lovely storm.
Luckily after lunch it cleared up and we were able to enjoy the afternoon.

ImageCan you tell she's been in a few pageants with that pose she is sporting? Love the hands on her hips!
