Excitement
Memorial Day Weekend. Always full of excitement and adventure, it seems. This year was no exception.
Saturday the kids had 2 birthday parties. Fortunately for the kids, they were at different times and both had huge, inflatable waterslides. Fortunately for me, they were next door to one another! I wasn't feeling completely up to snuff - the day after I take my methotrexate is usally kinda icky - but I didn't let that stop me from making a complete fool of myself! I went down the waterslide a few times. You should see the pics - I don't have them, though - my ass was GINORMOUS! It was fun, though, and all the kids thought it was great. By the end of the day, though ( from 11am till 7 pm straight through constant waterplay!!), everyone was exhausted. We hade a light dinner with Bob and Yvette, and then sent all the kids to the bedroom to watch Pirates of the Carribbean while we grown ups watched Lady In The Water on the big screen in the living room. Good movie, by the way.
Sunday morning, we headed out to Treasure Island (St. Pete Beach area) to hang out with Hans' sister, her boyfriend, his family, the in laws, and a surprise visit from Justin, who we haven't seen since September. Stayed at the beach longer than intended, then we headed out to John and Tracie's for dinner. We (I) had a good time, but something didn't agree with Hans, and he ended up in a puke fest. Loads of fun.....
Yesterday we drove home, then went to bed. Seriously. From 3 to 6, or thereabouts. Then we got up, did a smidge of housework, ate some dinner and watched the Star Wars Legacy thingy on the history channel. Fun, fun.
Today was errands and then out to play. Of course, Aliceon had to give us some drama:

So yeah. No stitches, no concussion, no headache, no nothing, so all's well that ends well. Still, made for some fun.... That green thing is a column at Beth's house that Aliceon knocked her noggin on. Fun, fun, fun....
