The big 3-0!!!!

So I turned 30 on March 14th of this year!!!!!!

That is just crazy to me! I had a fantastic birthday thanks to Fi Dan and my great island friends! The weekend before my birthday Fi Dan took me horse back riding....well his friend and girlfriend went and we just tagged a long, but I'm just glad we got to go! We went up the mountain and saw a really nice view of Portsmouth! It's beautiful here on the island! I use to want to get out of here ASAP, but now I am glad that we will be here until December! 

On the day of my brithday, we went guava picking!

My little Scholars

Being the teacher that I am, I can't help but want to teach! I have been teaching Nenji his sight words and math and he has been doing an excellent job! Tuesdays and Thursday evenings, I have been tutoring Nenji and Jocy, who is our downstairs neighbor and friend. Nenji and Jocy learned about Insects and had a great time! This is a picture of them and their final project. 

Yay for Rylan! Rylan was Student Of The Month!!! I was late and missed him getting his award, but I was told that he was so happy and cute as he ran up there and held up his award. In this picture he doesn't look so happy but he was very proud of himself! :)

Nenji's 5th Birthday

On February 25th, Nenji turned 5 years old! I cannot believe my baby boy is 5 already! He had a fantastic day! Luckily Nenji and one of his best friends share the same birthday. And this little boy happens to be the son of a faculty member here at Ross. She was so kind and generous and offered to do their birthdays together! So Quinn, Nenji and Jacob (another friend who goes to school and church with us) combined their birthday parties together. 

It was great! We had a huge party for the 3 boys right after school. We had face painting, balloon art, sand art, and of course the playground! Nenji had a lot of fun and felt so special! It was definitely a birthday to remember!

Whale Watching Trip...kind of

So these pictures were actually a while ago. Every Ross offers the opportunity for students and families to go whale watching. We finally signed up this semester! I was so excited! The best part was that the dock was right in Portsmouth...a 3 minute drive! It was a beautiful day and the boat we were in was amazing. I think it was more of a yacht. The boat ride was fine, Rylan and I got seasick but everyone else was fine. And did we see any whales? NO. Sad, but I think I might make Fi Dan take us again next semester. It is a little pricey though, but fun. And we went with some of our good church friends. :)
