Trick or Treat!

We had a nice night for trick or treating! I heard it snowed in NY?!?
We walked the neighborhood the whole night...well, from 6:30-8:30...since that was the county's designated trick or treating time (which I have never heard of a start and end time before!)...don't you just start when it's dusk outside, and stop when you're done? Haha.

Anyways, we risked leaving our candy on our porch in a bowl for kids to help themselves, and it worked out fine. Colin was a trooper like usual! I think he really enjoyed being outside, seeing all the other kids (Kev and I said we have never seen such a bustling neighborhood) and of course getting candy!

Guess which one is Kevin's.

He got to enjoy a sucker before bed...but was attempting to snag more.

Pumpkin Patch. Take 2.

Ahhhhh...finally some autumn weather!
We headed out to our second pumpkin patch of the season. A fun-filled-fall day!

John Deere tricycles are right up Colin's alley.

Trick or Treat, at the squadron.

We got to go to Kevin's work this week for some office to office trick or treating. Although I didn't get many pictures, I was impressed that all the guys decorated their offices rather festively, and somewhat scarily. For some reason Colin really embraces all that is Halloween, so he was definitely excited to see the ghosts and spiders hanging around. And of course he enjoyed the candy!

A self portrait before we left.

In one of the offices, you had to crawl through a "monster's" mouth to get your candy. None of the kids were really having it.

Finally getting to reap the benefits of all his hard work.

Oldies but goodies.

Kevin and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary on Thursday! Boy do we know how to celebrate...I got the flu on Wednesday. I was feeling a little better on Thursday, so we decided to order some Chinese for dinner. That night, Kevin caught the bug. And he has vowed never to eat Chinese again.
Regardless of our crappy feeling day, (which by the way, was made a little less crappy by new Rachel Ray pots and pans) we have had a great four years together!

Here are some pics from our pre-marriage days...

Oh, and I thought I'd share the card I got from my loving husband. Such a funny guy.

"Caught" in the sprinklers.

Last night before bedtime, we went outside to play. The sprinklers came on in part of our yard, and Colin started walking towards them, and then decided it was time to get wet. He had a ball running through them, clothes and all! Eh, it was almost time to get into jammies anyways.

Pumpkin Patch. Take 1.

Since last year we weren't here for the fall season, we hadn't visited any one the local farms for their Halloween festivities. There are two places fairly close to us that have hayrides and corn mazes, so I want to try them both!
Early Friday evening we headed to our first pumpkin patch of the season. Colin LOVED it, and as a bonus it wasn't crowded at all because we were there at an off time. I really think our boy would love to live on a farm. He gets the biggest smile on his face when he sees the animals and tractors, and just runs around exploring. He was in his glory!

Ok, I have to admit, this was the first time I have ever seen cotton...especially at a pumpkin patch!
