ZACH IS BACK!

After the kids went to school (for their first day) we piled in the car and headed to the Salt Lake airport. He came in that evening. We went to my parents for dinner and visiting and then my dad released him. It was a late night for the kids and they were troopers getting up the next day. We went back down Friday night to visit some more and on Saturday we got to see Kung Fu Panda 2! It was great. On Sunday Zach reported on his mission and we had a nice gathering with friends and family at mom's. The food was amazing, as always.

He kept us waiting forever, intentionally! Some things never change, I guess.

There were three new babies for Zach to meet. When he left, Squirm was about the age that Ben is now. Crazy! Lily was hesitant, but mostly friendly, Ben is so easy going you can't really upset him. Caleb, amazingly warmed up to him that night at my mom's! Zach came and spent the night at our house a few days later and Caleb was quite happy to play with him while I went to class. Too bad Zach doesn't still live with us.

Bits and Pieces

I have been lazy and not much feeling like catching up on all of our pictures. But now it's fall and the kids and I are back in school, and the marathon is coming up next week, and so I'd better clear off my memory card to be ready for all the pictures I'm taking of my run! So here we go!

Charles played another season of t-ball and did great! He was on the Angels team this year.

Caleb has started walking and getting into everything. One day I noticed it was rather quiet and found him here, happily unloading every item in his drawers. Silly baby!

Kaylee was sure to treat dad to a breakfast in bed on Father's Day. She is a very sweet girl.

Charles turned six and I agreed, reluctantly, to let him have a friend party. I was pleasantly surprised how well it went. I just can't believe how grown up he is. For his birthday dinner he chose my favorite place (insert HEAVY sarcasm): Golden Corral. Jake and Tressa came to join us and we had ourselves a grand old time!

On June 30th we lost our car. This is our second car to have totaled. It came at a good time for us this time around and the insurance gave us a much better settlement price than the first time around. The car was parked on the road in front of our house and a guy was driving to work early in the morning and ran right into it. Thankfully it disabled his car as well, so it wasn't a hit and run. We are now a one car family again for a while. It's going ok so far.

Caleb got to eat an oreo. He loved it. Pictures prove it.

Charles planted Cosmo seeds this year. The plants went crazy, but we only got a few blooms!

Caleb loved his first Fluffernutter. Thanks for the marshmallow fluff, Zach!

I got to have a roomie reunion with four of my roomies from BYU-I. It was so fun to get together again and catch up for a bit. Miss Amanda is living in Woods Cross now so I can see her all the time! If any of you have a brother or cousin available, she's in the market! :)
We had the time of our lives trying to get a picture of the five of us! We were all laughing so hard we had tears in our eyes!

He got some pretty good shots, then we used the timer feature!

Last week Kaylee just looked so cute! So grown up. Also, she spent the whole day reading this book and couldn't put it down! I was giddy!
