Eliza 4 months

Eliza is growing so fast. At her four month appointment she was 15 lb. 8 oz. (90%) and almost 26" (95%). She has plenty of chub on her. The doctor even said she had thunder thighs if that tells you anything. :) We love her just as she is. She has become a drooler just like Hannah. Sometimes it's like a leaky faucet. It doesn't turn off. She loves her hands and if they aren't in her mouth then they are clasped in some way or she is looking at them. She is learning to grab things and twists herself all over but hasn't managed to turn herself over yet. She is getting pretty strong and is in constant motion it seems. One of the most asked questions I get is "Is she always this pleasant?" The obvious answer is no because what kids is always pleasant?! Generally speaking though she is pleasant as long as she is feed and being given attention even when she is tired. She loves being talked to and let's you know when she thinks she is being ignored. We enjoy getting her to laugh. Hannah and Spencer continue to fight for her attention and the opportunity to hold her. She rewards them with plenty of smiles and affection. Everywhere I go people stop to see her and tell me how cute she is. I cannot walk down the hall at church without everyone making comments especially the young women. She always has a ready smile for them. We love our Eliza!!

I got her picture taken yesterday. Here they are.

Image The coloring didn't turn out so well on these but I liked her smile.

Eliza

Since I never post and some people are dying to see Eliza, here is the latest from a week ago. She truly is a joy. She makes everybody happy. Everywhere we go, people have to stop and talk to her. She is very social and just smiles at everybody! We think she is pretty darn cute. Her siblings still adore her very much!

Eliza 4 weeks

Time is going by so fast! I doesn't seem like 4 weeks have already gone by. Eliza is still very inconsistant and we are still adjusting and trying to figure out things. She has started being very fussy each night. I hope it will be a short phase. She has started smiling a little which I love :) Overall we are doing well.

I realized that I hadn't taken any pictures this week so I took a few tonight to post. Enjoy!

Eliza 3 weeks

We've made it three weeks! Eliza and I went to church today for the first time. She was an angel for me and slept through almost the entire 3 hours :) She woke up during Sunday School so I could feed her and then went back to sleep. I was grateful for that. She doesn't always sleep and likes to have her fussy moments so I was glad to not have it at church.

Hannah and Spencer are still extremely helpful (over helpful??). They both still want to hold her and kiss her and hug her. It hasn't worn off yet. Sometimes I get tired of them fighting over the baby. Hannah thinks she is the mom and will tell me I need to change her diaper or feed her. I just smile. I have caught her trying to change Eliza's diaper when she hasn't been asked (not that I have let her change one by herself yet). She actually has been a huge help to me and will hold Eliza so I can shower or fix meals etc. I have been grateful for that and to know that she can hold her without dropping her. Spencer doesn't understand why I will let Hannah walk holding Eliza but not him. What can I do? Hannah and Spencer LOVE their sister. We are all enjoying her fussy moments and all.

2 weeks old!

I took Eliza to her 2 week checkup on July 12th. She is a growing girl! She was 21 inches and 8 lbs. 14 oz. They usually like the babies to be back to their birth weight by 2 weeks and she well surpassed that. I can stop worrying about whether she is getting enough to eat! She turned a bit fussy the second week and would just cry. She would spit up and get the hickups after she ate. She has more alert periods and the kids love telling people that she now knows how to open her eyes :) The kids are over helpful but really just want to be involved with everything. I have no alone time with her. I can't keep Spencer from kissing her on her face constantly. She is definitely a loved girl!!!

G-ma and G-pa Fromm

My mom and dad came down and helped us survive the first week! They kept Hannah and Spencer busy by taking them on many outings which also allowed me some quiet time. They took care of all the meals and clean up and anything else we needed. They were a huge help and we appreciate them very much!!!
