Father's Day

First:
Happy Father's Day to all Fathers.

For our Father's Day we did a bunch of cool stuff. Charles has been very busy with work, so he asked for Saturday off. We started our day at Valley Forge. We watched the soldiers do their drills and shoot cannons and big guns--very manly.
It was raining, so we didn't stay very long. Around lunch time we headed for home. On our way we passed a sign that said, "World's Best Cheese Steak!"
Because it was Father's Day, we decided to try it. Guess what? It was the "Best Cheese Steak."
Inside the restaurant, there were pictures all over of Philly. We checked how far it was. Only half an hour away! We jumped back in the car and headed for Philadelphia. We parked on Market Street and took a horse drawn carriage tour of all the sights. It was a lot of fun. When we finished up with that, we headed to the Philadelphia Museum of Art--The place were Rocky ran up the stairs. They had some really weird stuff, but it was neat to see everything. We had to get our picture with the Rocky statue, of course. All in all, it was a great day.
On Sunday we went evening fishing at a pond near our house. There were only little sun fish, but it was still a fun time.

We took a horse drawn carriage tour. The kids thought this was the greatest thing ever. Saydie especially loved that the horse wore a hat and tieImage.

The Liberty Bell was really cool. Skyler and Saydie made up all kinds of stories for why it was cracked.
~Side note: Emily and Saydie's hair does not like humidity. It was going wild!

Independence Hall was one of my favorite places to see.

Our tour Guide. He told us he was in National Treasure. When we got home we watched the move to see if we could see him in it. Nicolas Cage jumps the fence in front of him and scares his horse.

Smoke from the battle field. They were shooting off real cannons. It was very cool. You could feel the repercussion from the blast.

These are the balls they were shooting. They start at .50 (the little grey ones). The golfball sized ones are what they were shooting out of the big gun. This gun was seven feet long!

Really don't want to have him as my doctor...

New Apartment

Yeah!

I unpacked the last of the boxes--almost.

Enough to take a picture...

Yes, I put a picture of the laundry room in there.

We had to cram all the kitchen stuff in there because there are no cupboards.

What! Again!

For those of you who haven't heard. . .
Yes, we moved AGAIN!
(if your counting, this is number 6.)
We moved from Chicago to Pennsylvania.
Charles will be working out of the Philadelphia office. We are excited to see a new place. It is very beautiful here. Everything is so green. We are in a suburb. It is a smaller town about forty minutes out of Philadelphia. We have New York City, Washington DC, and the Atlantic Ocean all with in a 1-2 hour(s) drive.
Our apartment is bigger then the last one (yeah). My favorite part is the laundry room. It is much bigger then the laundry closet we had before. I will post pictures as soon as we get settled.
For now, here are some from the trip here.
We left Sunday and got here Monday morning. This has been the longest drive we've done so far. It was a sixteen hour drive. We did it through the night. The kids were great.

Image What happens when you spend all day
and all night
and then wake up
and your still in the car?
You get a little silly.

I don't have a picture of the sign for Pottstown. After we took this exit, we were on a little two lane road for about an hour. There wasn't a welcome sign, (that I saw) so, you get the exit sign.
