Dear Friends,
On April 17th, 2009 we were blessed with two beautiful twins, Koy Stack and Kadyn Land. With those two little miracles came a life threatening disease for Kadyn called Cystic Fibrosis.
Cystic Fibrosis is a devastating and life threatening genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of tens of thousands of children and young adults in the United States. Much progress has been made toward finding a cure for CF, but the Foundation’s work is far from over, as young lives continue to be lost to this disease.
Soon after the twin’s birth and Kadyn’s diagnosis so many of you offered your help and support in anyway possible. I am now writing to ask for your help and to enlist your support. I recently signed up to participate in GREAT STRIDES: Taking Steps to Cure Cystic Fibrosis, which is the CF Foundation’s annual, nationwide walk. I am walking in the Springfield event as part of Kadyn’s Krew on October 3rd at 9am, at Rutledge-Wilson Farm Community Park in honor of my daughter, Kadyn.

It is important for you to know that the CF Foundation is a very efficient organization and nearly 90 cents of every dollar raised is used to support research and specialized care that improves the quality of life of those with CF. Any amount that you can donate will be greatly appreciated and all contributions are 100% tax deductible.
These are trying times, so please don’t feel pressure to donate, but at the very least we hope to raise awareness about CF so please forward this message on to your contacts.
