Spent a Saturday morning at the Austin Zoo

QUACK!

QUACK!

Greg Johnnie was quite the bully in the reptile exhibit. He kept pushing the other kids out of his way! Oh dear.
Image
Jace enjoyed the snakes.
Image
Since Jace wouldn't go near this turkey, Mom got a chance to be in the picture.

You can't tell from the picture, but this was the BIGGEST pig any of us had ever seen!

Happy Birthday, "SUPER KID"!!

Image
Jace turned 5 this last month.
He got to eat every meal on "The Birthday Plate"!
Jace, you are remarkable. Mom and Dad love you so much!

Image
We had a scavenger hunt theme for the party, so I made his cake into a map of our backyard, with little footprints! It was very fun. The kids had flashlights and clues and were let loose in the backyard to find glow-in-th-dark treasures!

My Coach...My Dad

Gooooalasooo!
Image
What does it mean to me, that Kendall was Jace's sports coach? To know that he was getting direction and mentoring from a Christian man, his daddy, who loves and cares for him means a lot. It was the exact experience that I wanted Jace to have. Kendall has always kept Jace close and I am happy that God provides them with plenty of opportunities to remain that way.
p.s. Please disregard what seems to be child abuse going on behind them...ha, ha! Coach Tim was playing with Lleyton. Also, I think there was another little teammate hiding behind Kendall and Jace. I can just make out an extra pair of feet and a pink bow.
