1st day of Pre-K

Today is Rylee's 1st Day of Pre-K!!  Absolutely cannot believe my baby girl will be starting Kindergarten next year!!  SOOOOOO not ready for that!!  Ok, back to Pre-K.  Even though her school moved her to the Pre-K program for the summer, today is officially the first day for the fall session!  They do a scaled back program for the summer since they don't have near as many kids there over the summer.  Rylee was pretty disappointment that she wasn't starting Kindergarten this year.  She has a few friends from school that were starting so I think she just assumed she would be too.  Last Wednesday was the first day of school in Lee's Summit and we just so happened to get behind a school bus and Oh boy, that was not fun!!  She just didn't understand why she wasn't starting school and why she couldn't ride the bus.  Had to have the conversation with her all over again.  I think she finally understands that she will be starting the "big-kid" school after she turns 5!!!  WHEW!!  So since she was so disappointed, I was really trying to "hype" up the fact that she was starting Pre-K today.  She was pretty excited.  We went out and bought a backpack and some new shoes.  We even made cupcakes to take to share with her friends today.  I hope she has a great first day of school today!!!

Here is the little miss infront of school this morning....not sure why but all of the sudden, she looks SO BIG to me!!!

We had a pretty fun weekend!  My parents came up to visit us this weekend because I had a surprise b-day party for Ryan on Saturday evening.  Pic's to come later on that!

Well, that is all the time I have to blog today.  Wanted to get a picture of my little miss out here.

Until next time, TTFN!!

1-Year and 1-month Late!!!

WOW!!  I absolutely CANNOT believe the last time I blogged was July of last year!  SO SORRY I have been such a slacker!!  Adding a second child to the mix has REALLY rocked my world!!  The last picture some of you saw of our little guy was the sonogram.  Here is what our life has been like since.....

Here is Rylee with her new baby brother - 1st Day home from hospital - she is ALREADY in love with him!!

Ok, so now you should be all caught up on a few photo's of my kids over the last year!!

There is NEVER a dull moment in the Krause house.  The kids keep us VERY busy but we wouldn't have it any other way!!!!  They continue to bring us so much joy!!!

Rylee will start Pre-K next Monday....SERIOUSLY!?!?!?  Cannot believe she is already that old!!  She was pretty disappointment when she realized that she wouldn't be going to Kindergarten until she turned 5!  She is ready to so to school....This mommy is "thrilled" to have one more year before we have to cross that hurdle!

Dylan is now 10-months old!  I have NO IDEA where the last 10-months have gone!!  It has been a pretty wild 10-months.  From not eating that well in the beginning (just like sister!!), to RSV, to pnemonia, to chronic ear infections, reflux...you name it, Dylan had it.  He had tubes put in his ears back in April which made a WORLD of difference!!  We are so glad they were able to do the procedure on him even though he was so small!!  Now we just deal with a constant runny nose and cough.  Since his immune system was so compromised in the first several months of his life, virsus hit him a lot harder than a normal baby and tend to linger for a VERY long time.  They hope he grows out of it by the time he is 1!!  We hope so too!!!  He is so very close to walking!!  He cruises around the furniture, walls, toys, etc. all pretty darn good.  Just gets too excited when he lets go and realizes he is standing all by himself.  He did take 6 steps the other night and continues to take 2-3 steps daily at daycare.  I am so not ready for him to be THAT mobile!!

Ryan and I keep very busy with the kids and work.  We do try to find time for ourselves here and there!  We think that is VERY important.  As a matter of fact, we took a trip to Cancun with a group of friends in July!  It was a MUCH needed break for mommy and we had a blast!!!!

I have become addicted to running.  I ran four 5k (3.1 miles) races this spring/summer.  That was the goal I sat back in March and really wasn't sure if I could reach it for the simple fact that I absolutely HATED to run!!!  Now I LOVE it!!  It is the only time of day I get 30 minutes of ALONE time....JUST FOR ME!!!!  It is a great stress reliever!!!  Hopefully my love for running continues!!!

Well, I think that pretty much sums up the last year...in a nut-shell!!!  I will do my best to update this at least weekly....not making any promises though!!!

Until next time, TTFN!!

Nothing too exciting to report.  My mom just spent 5 days with us.  She came up to paint the nursery.  I'll post pictures sometime soon!  It is adorable!!!  We had a great time when she was here!  Rylee was not ready for her to leave this morning!!!!

Tonight, we are headed to the hospital to meet the newest addition to our group.  Our friends, Richard & Aly, welcome their first child last night.  Miss Ella Taylor Beerman was born at 7:10pm, 7/14/10.  She weighed in at 8.5lbs and was 19.5 inches long.  I got to see a picture of her this morning and she is just adorable!!  I can't wait to meet her tonight!

Hope you all have a great day!!  Until next time.....TTFN!!!

HAPPY 5TH ANNIVERSARY!!!!!

It's hard to believe that it has been 5 years since we got married.  Even though it was a very HOT day in South Central Kansas, it was one of the best days of my life!!  I married my very best friend and love of my life!!

Here we are 5 years later, blessed with a 3-year old little girl and a little boy who will arrive in November!!  I can't wait to see what the next 5 years will bring us!!!!  I love you with all my heart Ryan!!!  Happy Anniversary!!!!!

Holiday Weekend Fun

As stated in my last post, we had a very busy holiday weekend planned.  Ryan unfortunately had to work all weekend so he wasn't able to make the road trip with us.  :(

Rylee and I headed out early on Friday to make it to Wichita in time for my cousin Sean's wedding.  I only have two cousins left to get married off......now John William is the last on standing!  There have been very few weddings that all the White Cousin's have been in attendence so I was very excited to see everyone.

We had a great time at the wedding and the reception!  Katie looked absolutely beautiful and I couldn't be happier for she and Sean!!  She's a great addition to our family!!

Saturday morning we got up and headed to Winfield to spend the rest of the weekend at the lake.  It was pretty cloudy when we left Wichita but I had hopes that it would clear off.  Unfortunately, that DID NOT happen!!  We had about 3 hours of clear skies and then the flood gates opened up.  It rained and it rained and it rained!!  We were stuck in the trailer all afternoon and evening.  And believe me, being couped up with a 3 and 4 year old is not all that great......the girls were going nuts!  They wanted to play outside so badly!!  We decided around 8pm that we'd head into town and get some ice cream....at least give them a little break.

The girls ready for a boat ride - unfortunately, mother nature had other plans!

We woke up on Sunday and what do you know, it was still raining!!  It didn't appear to have any chance of clearing up.  So unfortunately, we all decided to cut our lake stay short and head home.  I decided to come back to KC since we'd be stuck in the house all day at my parents.  That way we'd get to spend the rest of the afternoon and evening with Ryan!!!  The sun was out when we got back to the city so I decided to take Rylee swimming for a few hours since that is all she wanted to do while we were at the lake.  She enjoyed being able to swim, even though it wasn't too terribly sunny out.

We spent the rest of the evening letting Rylee do some fireworks in the back yard.  The sparklers were a bit hit.  Unfortunately, it was very windy so we were having a difficult getting thing lit.  We decided we'd just save the rest for a better evening.   We watched some fireworks in the surrounding areas from our back yard but it was cut short by the rain.  Rylee and I curled up on the couch and finished our evening with a movie.

Ryan had to work on Monday so it was just us girls for the day.  I'm not sure Rylee felt all that well so we didn't do a whole lot.  It was a very relaxing day, which I think we both needed!!  Daddy joined us for a movie before it was time to hit the hay.  Even though its a short week, it's gonna be busy!

Until next time......TTFN!!!!

June Recap

Ok, so I'll get caught up on the month of June and then I will TRY to do better this month....again, no guarantees!!!!

---June started out with Rylee beginning her Itty Bitty Tumblers Class.  It was on Tuesday evenings @ 7:15 and lasts until July 6th.  She LOVES tumbling so I thought this class would be perfect for her.  She was a rockstar!!  On the first night, she was the only one in the class that could do a summersault!  MeMe is soooo proud!!!  They started off with the basics but gradually added new stuff each week.  The things she learned were of course the summersault, log-roll, back-bend, jumping and spinning around on a small trampoline, walking on a low balance beam, headstands, handstands, backwards roll, etc.  I am really anxious for daddy to come to her last class next week to see her in action!  I think there might be some gymnastics in our future!!

---Ryan took his annual golfing trip to Amana, IA with the guys the first weekend in June.  There was 8 of them that went this year.  They always have a great time and he looks forward to it every year!  I don't mind it cause that is a good excuse for Rylee and I to make a road trip south!

---My Aunt Rita got married on June 5th (the same weekend Ryan was golfing) so Rylee and I went to Caldwell to see our family and to take in the wedding festivities.  We had a great time!  It was pretty flippin' hot and as most of you know, the community building in Caldwell doesn't have air conditioning!  I was pretty miserable but suck it up for my family!  Rylee was soaked by the end of the night but she had lots of fun!

---On June 16th, we went to our first Royal's game of the year.  We have taken Rylee to at least one game ever since she was born.  It ended up storming just before the game so there was an hour and a half rain delay.  The game didn't start until 8:30 so it was a late night.  It ended up being a beautiful evening at the ball park.

---Father's Day weekend was very busy but lots of fun!  We started Friday evening off with a trip to the pool with Cody, Sara, Jackson & Matthew.  It was a beautiful evening and we pretty much had the pool to ourselves!  Ryan's grandparents were celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary so we had a family luncheon for them on Saturday at the country club in Emma, MO.  It was nice to see most of the Hinck family.  We don't get together often enough!  A lovely little rain storm blew in shortly after lunch so our plans to let the kiddo's swim was put on hold.  Instead, they played in the MUD!!  Yes, I let my daughter play in the mud.  Not but choice but she did have a ball!!  I just wish she wouldn't  have had her pretty yellow dress on however, it did come clean!!  Grandma Val washed is several times that evening and it's almost as good as new!  On Sunday, we had nephew Jackson's 4th b-day party.  It was a jammed packed, fun, family filled weekend!!!

---On June 21st, I had my 20 week sonogram.  While we were already about 97% sure we were having a little boy, I was very anxious to get another peak at our little guy!  And sure enough, HE is still a HE!!!! There is no denying it!  Daddy is already so proud!!!!  Now that it is official, I'm excited to get started on his room.  MeMe will be coming up in a few weeks to get it painted so I guess I better get the theme picked out huh?  The next day I had my normal 4 week doctor's appointment.  Everything looks great and appears to be right on track.  I just love hearing our little boys heartbeat!!  I look forward to my appointment this month!

---Last weekend was another busy weekend for us.  We were able to get a lot of things done around the house.  I have been wanting to get the shelves up in our sub-basement and get that somewhat organized.  Even though it's all storage, I could stand the mess and disorganization!!  It now looks like we have TONS of room down there!  It will be even better when we can get the crib and the rest of the baby stuff out of there!  After spending the morning doing stuff around the house, we decided to hit the pool.  It was pretty flippin HOT so a dip in the pool was right up our alley!  Cody, Sara and the boys joined us a little later.  The kids had a blast swimming and I actually got a little bit of color!  I'm no longer pale and pale can be!!!  That evening, we headed over to Cody and Sara's so I could go "shopping."  Sara kept all of the boys' baby stuff and wanted to sell us whatever we wanted.  She gave us a great deal and we got lots and lots of stuff for our little guy.  We won't have to buy much for him at all!!!  Thanks Sara!!!!!!!!  On Sunday, we went to yet another Royal's game.  This time we were going with the Hemme's.  Unfortunately, Ang wasn't feeling well so she stayed home.  Once again, it was hotter than hell!!!  I was dripping with sweat before the game even started!!  Rylee and Ava were pretty hot as well!  Despite the heat, we did manage to have a good time at the ballpark and to top it off, the Royal's won!!  I had the leave the game a little early for my night out with the girls!  Me, Janaye, Brandy, Marianne, Jenny & Tami bought tickets to the Tim McGraw/Lady Antebellum concert.  We have been waiting for MONTHS for our night out!  We had dinner and drinks (well they drank!) and then headed to the concert.  We had such a great night!!!  I miss these girls soooo much!  Now that we don't live in Kansas anymore, I hardly ever get to see them!  I hope we don't wait another 6 months before we get together again.

Well, I think that pretty much sums up our month of June.  Busy, busy, busy....that pretty much sums up our entire summer!  This weekend we are headed south for my cousin Sean's wedding.  The wedding is Friday night so we'll stay in Wichita.  Then we'll get up on Saturday morning and head to the lake for the rest of the holiday weekend!  Ryan has to work all weekend so we are very sad he doesn't get to join us!!

Until next time.....TTFN!!
