Baseball Camp At Turner Field

Chevy sponsors a FREE one-day baseball camp with coaches from the Cal Ripken Jr. school. As luck would have it, the camp fell during the week we were moving but I just couldn't let them pass up this fun opportunity. I'm a big believer in live each day to the fullest because you can never go back and re-live a day and you never know when your last day is, so make the most of each day!

Here are pictures from their day...

The boys have their personal assistant carrying their bags. :)

They went around to different stations during the day so their first one was in the bullpen learning to pitch.

Throwing station. They were to get on their knees and throw to their partner.

The boys have always been fascinated by as Peyton would say, the Statue de Liberty and here was a baseball Statue de Liberty!

It was a great and very well-organized camp. They got t-shirts and then they fed them a hamburger and hot dog lunch for FREE. I even won a door prize. A fun day before the chaos of our move would begin.

Noah's Ark Field Trip

Back in the Spring, we took a field trip with our homeschool group to Noah's Ark. It was such a neat experience for the kids to be able to walk up and pet some of the animals and see other animals like bison in their natural habitat.

Here are some pictures from our day....

Peacocks were everywhere. This one was in our picnic area.

The boys got a kick out of following it around after lunch.

There was so much more that we saw...monkeys, leopards, wolves, reptiles, lions, and tigers, and more. A very neat place to visit and you pay by donation.
