Update on New Zealand

Just a few pictures to update our trip.
We have seen so many places.  SeaLions and Penguins on the beach have been my highlights.  We have gone buggy jumping, seen lighthouses and collected sea shells.

2nd day in New Zealand

We have had a great time in New Zealand so far.  The best part is getting to see New Zealand as a tourist and as a Local as well.  We see the sights and tour the city and then we go home for a home cooked meal.  Or we get to go eat with a family in their home.  It is not very common to get to do this on a vacation but when you visit missionaries, that is what you get to do.
The second day here in New Zealand we woke up and went for a run on the beach. It was AMAZING! Weather was great and the ocean was so beautiful.  We ran downy he beach about a mile to some rocks and cliffs.  We watched the water slam into the rocks and cliffs.  We even got to get up on the rocks.  It was so much fun.
After we got back from our run we got ready, had french toast and even got to talk to the kids on Skype.  I am so glad they are doing well and having fun.  Molly calls Jill ma-ma now so it sounds like she is doing just fine:)
We went to tunnel beach around noon.  Tunnel beach is a historical place.  A man maybe a king (I should remember who it was) built a tunnel for his daughters to go to the beach.  It is pretty neat.

We went to go see a rugby game but it twas not there for some reason.  So we went to see the professional rugby stadium and watched a rugby game online instead that night.  You can't come to New Zealand without seeing a rugby game.
We went to the port, the train station and walked down the shopping streets for a few minutes.  It was a beautiful day outside so we tried to stay outside a little longer.
We went back home and had a wonderful dinner from Mom, as always.  We had chicken roll-ups but with apricots in them.  We put apricot jam on the top as well.
For dessert we had the famous pavlova.  with fruit, cream and chocolate on top.
Another great day!

We finally made it to New Zealand.  It was a long 22 hour trip but we are here with Kurt's parent and it has been a perfect first day.  We have some Jet lag so I need to catch up on some sleep.
I am not going to write too much tonight I just wanted to share some pictures and remember what we did today.

-Got in about 11:00 and Came back to house and had lunch
-Drove around downtown Dunedin
-Went to the steepest street in the works.  Baldwin Street
-Signal Hill - view over all of Dunedin
-Woodland park- ducks and zip line park
-Downtown Octagon
-Grocery shopping.  $8/gal of gas, $8 for a gallon of milk
-Ate dinner at the Fortunes home.  Beautiful house up on the mountain.
-Went to beach and watched the waves come in.

What we do in October!

Years ago I wouldn't have said this but I am now SO grateful for a husband who likes to hunt.  Kurt Webb, He loves it and I have gotten used to this crazy tradition of his:)
Even though the prep is long, it is worth it.  $30, 13 hours and 4 long nights later....this is what my freezer looks like:)  Feeling very blessed!

New arrival

Molly was born on November 9th 2012 at 2:31 pm.  She was 20.5 inches long and 6 lbs 13 oz.  She was so tiny.  A lot smaller than the other kids were.  She as been such an angel in our family.  I am so grateful to have her in our family.  The kids were very excited to have her come. We went to build a bear the week she came so they could make her a gift for the hospital.
Molly was one of many names we had at the hospital, but we knew her middle name was going to be Leila, after my mom.  Kurt and I finally sat down the day after she was born and decided on the name.  We thought of our top names and we both had Molly on the top.  We knew that would be her name.  She is perfect in our family and has made us very grateful for what we have this time of year.  We love you Molly.
