Newborn Photos

My cousin Randy and his wife Rebecca started a photography business and we were so lucky to have them do Natalyns newborn photos. They turned out so perfect, I love all of these pictures. I have no idea how I will choose just one to hang up. They are so fun. Here is a few of our favorites. These boys love having a sister! Image We dressed the boys all nice but they were secretly in disguise. Image Our little superheros have got her back! :) Image Toes Image She is seriously so beautiful. I still can't believe we have a daughter! And she was so good for all these pictures. She just wanted to keep sticking her tongue out. I kept having to tuck it back in. :) ImageImageImageImageImage She was wide awake as we were finishing up and I am so so happy we caught this picture. It is my favorite! Image These pictures will be treasured for years. So glad we had them done.

2 weeks and Fall break

I can't believe little Natalyn is coming up on 4 weeks old this weekend. Time goes so fast when you have a little newborn. She went in for her 2 week check up last week and weighed in at 7 pounds 14 ounces and was 21 3/4 inches long. 30% for weight and 80% for height. Everything looked great with her and she is already growing so much. Cohen was a big helper at her drs appointment. Cute little kids! Image Ryland has this crazy infection in his mouth that he got last weekend. Poor guy kept saying his tooth hurt so I figured he probably had a cavity or something. We had dentist appointments scheduled for the next week so I didn't really worry about getting him in until he woke up Monday morning and his face was totally swollen where it hurt. Thankfully our dentist is also our neighbor so he came over and determined he had an infection around one of his old cavity fillings. He wrote us a prescription and said the swelling should go down and they would likely pull the tooth out at his appointment. Poor guy, his face was super swollen. Image And pull the tooth out they did at his appointment. But now he is not in any pain. So glad we had Cam as a great neighbor to come and help us out! He is feeling much better without the tooth! We were able to go to Black Island Farm with our neighborhood over UEA break. We have done it the last couple of years with our neighborhood and the kids love it. We had such a great time as always. The kids loved picking out their own pumpkins. And Natalyn was a champ to just be carried around and sleep the whole time we were there. She is such a good baby! Image They let all the kids try some cabbage from their garden. Cohen didn't hesitate to try it right away. He didn't really like it but I was proud of him for trying it! ImageImageImageImageImage And the kids could have rode on this train all day. They went on it like 39 times, no joke! They love that part of this field trip. It was a fun time. Image Natalyn finally got to have her first bath in the tub since her umbilical cord came off finally. She loved it. Image Love this sweet girl Image The boys loved being out of school for a few days and we had the best weather. It was a beautiful evening at the park after Rylands baseball practice. Image And I know, I already take way too many pictures of her, but seriously, so cute! Image

Natalyn Lisa

Introducing our newest little addition, Natalyn Lisa Drollinger. Born September 30, 2017 at 12:21am. Lance at the boys had spent all day the 29th fishing with Pappy and their uncles and cousins. We all met at Lances Dads house that evening for a fish fry dinner. They all had a blast fishing and caught so many fish we were able to make a dinner out of it this year. It was so fun, and the boys were very excited to try out the fish they caught. Ryland had a birthday party so he had to miss the party but Camden and Cohen had a great time hanging out with their cousins and playing with Nana and Pappy. And the boys both tried the fish, I don't know that they loved it, but they ate some. It was pretty good. Image We didnt stay super late because we needed to pick Ryland up from his party. So we picked up Ryland and headed to the store to get a few things. We didn't have any newborn diapers and lotion for the little lady. We had been scheduled to be induced at the hospital on Monday the 2nd of October. Little did we know what our little girl would have in store for us that evening. We got home and I had the boys help me finish vacuuming the house and putting some laundry away since I had not got to that earlier in the day. We read our scriptures that evening and just after scriptures I stood up and thought, hm, was that a contraction? I wasn't sure and carried on as usual thinking it was nothing. We read the boys some books all while these contractions were coming about every 10 minutes or so. After a few of them I told Lance that I wasn't sure if they were contractions or what, so we started timing them to see where we were at. Cohen had not gone to sleep yet, so I went up and laid down by him till he fell asleep. This was around 10:00. Thankfully Lance was preparing my brother James and Ann that we might need someone to come sit with the kids if we needed to leave. The contractions started getting closer and more painful, so we decided it would be wise to pack some bags and get some things ready since we had like nothing ready. As we were packing, we called our doctor and come to find out he is out of town, so we called the hospital and they said to come in. So we loaded up what we had packed, and Ann came over to sit with the boys and we headed out to the hospital. On the ride to the hospital my contractions went from about 10 minutes apart to 2 1/2 minutes apart. That was scary because then we started thinking maybe we are not going to make it. We called the hospital and let them know we were coming in. We left our house around 10:40 and made it to the hospital just after 11. Lance did a great job driving us there fast but safely! :) We were all checked in by 11:06 and wow, I was in some pain. They checked me and I was a 7. I was glad to know this really was happening and I wasn't being a sissy. The epidural guy just happened to be next door and was able to rush in and get me all hooked up. Because holy cow, I was in some pain and wasn't sure if I was going to make it. He had me all numbed up shortly after and finally I had a little relief. My water broke a few minutes after getting the epidural. There was a little poop in the water so they called in a respiratory therapist and a few other people from the nursery to make sure she was going to be okay. There is a chance that she could swallow some of that in the birth canal if there is poop. Everything happened so fast, the on call doctor, Dr Hannah was amazing and showed up just a few minutes before I was a 10 and ready to push. So glad she made it in time. And it took less than 2 pushes for little Natalyn to make her entrance into this world. And she wasn't too happy about being born because she scram for a good 20 minutes after being born. She pooped a ton when she was born too but thankfully had no ill effects from having poop in the water. She was screaming and healthy which we were so greatful for. Lance and I got to spend a good hour with just her and us. It was so nice to get some time to just enjoy her. They came and weighed her after that. She was 7 pounds 1 ounce and 20 3/4 inches long. And so cute. A little bit of blonde hair and the longest fingernails ever. :) We are so in love. ImageImage The best part was all this happened while the boys were all sound asleep at home. They woke up the next morning to my saint of a sister in law Ann who stayed there all night to be with them. Cohen woke up at 6 because he had wet the bed and that ended up waking everyone up. They were so excited when they heard the news. Lance and I had made the tradition breakfast casserole the night before which was in the fridge just waiting to be baked, so we had Ann make that up and share it with her family. And Ryland had a bright and early baseball game which she helped him get all ready for. One of my favorite memories from the day was when the boys came to visit with Grandma and Grandpa that afternoon. I asked Ryland how his game went. He told me that he was up to bat and had a foul ball and a strike. He said he stepped out of the box, took a deep breath and said okay this ones for you baby sister. He got back in the box and hit a home run! Not even kidding, he was so excited about it. He did it all for his cute little sister too. :) It made me smile. He also won the game ball from that game which he was super excited about. All these boys were so excited to come up and meet their sister. ImageImage ImageImage Image And here is sweet Natalyn all ready to come home. Image So tired. :) Image We came home to some nice welcome home decorations from my mom. And we were all super happy to be home. :) Image The boys can't get enough of their sister. She has no lack for attention and is held all the time. It makes my mama heart so happy to see how much these boys love their sister. ImageImageImageImage And of course Baylee had to meet her too. Image Cohen loves all the time he gets with Natalyn while his brothers are at school. Image He is so good to show her all her toys, and make sure she has a blanket or anything else she needs. Image We are all so in love with Natalyn. So happy she is here, healthy, and such a good baby. We love you Natalyn. Image

Little of this and that

We recently renewed our zoo pass over spring break. It was fun to be back as we haven't been there for quite sometime. We went with the entire population of the world it felt like, so busy! But still a good time. Thankfully there is a lot of space there! :) Image As big as the bears Image A train ride is a must when we go. The kids love it. Image Love my little cheeser Image We had to document the toothless cousins when we spent some time with Lances family as well. So cute. Image Our neighbor is a pediatric dentist. They opened up a new office a couple weeks ago and did a big open house. There was face painting, games, balloons, and free food. And of course their moose mascot. These were the kids not too scared (or too cool) to take a picture. We had a fun time there. Image We hit up the swimming pool over spring break too. It was so cold and rainy, we had to try and pretend it was warm at the indoor swimming pool. Image Love these goggle kids! Image Cohen lately has been obsessed with my sunglasses Image And hats. Image So cute! Image And Camden rarely goes to bed without a late night snack. I had to capture his fall asleep while eating an apple the other night. Image We helped out with a day of service in our community one Saturday as well. The boys were such a big help. Like seriously, great help. We helped clear the lagoon trail and it was dare I say a good time. Cohen was so fun to watch help pick up little sticks and carry them to the pile. It was a little chilly but the kids worked hard. So proud of them! ImageImage We went and saw Nana and Pappy the other Sunday. The boys begged him for a ride in his big truck. They had such a fun time riding with him. I had to snap a picture of it! They love his truck! ImageImage We also hit up the Family Night bees game on Monday. It was not crowded at all and a perfect night for baseball. It was so fun. Image The boys got to ride the train 3 times which I think is a record. There was hardly a line and they were so excited to just keep riding it. Image We meet the smiths grocery bag too. Image And these boys were in baseball heaven. Especially Ryland. This made his life. He loves baseball. Image And I love Cohen in this picture. Yep, loves the train. Image Such a fun night. The next morning we found a bird on our driveway that couldn't fly. Super random. Ryland found him when he went to get his baseball mit out of the car. The poor bird was laying in a pile of feathers but alive still. Lance was able to pick him up and we put him in a box. Image The poor bird was so scared of the kids but they loved watching him sit in is box and carrying him around. Image He hung out with us for a couple days and then we dropped him off at the Wildlife rehabilitation center to see if they could help him. Poor Cam tripped on the curb right before this picture. He got his knees pretty good. Image See, ouch! Image The boys can't wait to call and check up on the bird. Hopefully he will fly back here when he can. :)
