We kept a secret but didn't want anyone to worry over Christmas.
We were admitted to the hospital this morning Dec. 29th for some testing. Paige is a little too quite for her own good, my Dr. was a little worried when I stated again that she wasn't a big mover and he got a little more worried when I told him that Patrick has never felt her move, kick or do anything, so that put up a red flag for him and he wanted an indepth look at her and he wanted to make sure she wasn't stressed or having any problems that was causing issues for her that would make her stop moving. At 9:00am we entered Labor and Delivery at McKenna Hospital (Patrick looked at this as a practice session for the real thing) and were put in a delivery room and hooked up to the fetal monitor and the contraction monitor just to watch her for awhile. They call this test a non-stress test (or stress test - depending on who you talk too)and they just look at her hearbeat in regards to her movement and make sure it doesn't drop to below were it should be, which would show a problem. So they watched her on the monitor for an hour got a read out and after being examined by the Dr. and nurses we were told she passed with flying colors and that her position is probably the reason for her lack of movement. She is stuck and doesn't have lots of room to move, who's fault is that little "taco" baby. Patrick enjoyed watching the monitor he said that it was similar to watching his engines at work, so he was used to seeing lines and graphs and was trying to determine what everything meant, not sure they are in anyway similar but it kept him busy!
We go back to my Dr. on Monday, January 5th and from here on out we will see him once a week until she decides to make her arrival. We are officially at 35 weeks and at 37 weeks if she is still being "taco" child we will be put back in the hospital and my Dr. will turn her into the head down position and if I don't go into labor he will send us home. At 38 weeks if she decides to be stubborn and turn back around my Dr. will put me back into the hospital turn her and then induce labor so that hopefully she doesn't decide to go back to the breach position. Stubborn little German baby has to be difficult with everything, I hope this isn't a peak into how she will be as a child. If it is we are in trouble!!!

Other photos to enjoy!
This is Squeegee (our name for her) the neighborhood cat, and this is currently her favorite spot to nap. It is right outside our back door that leads to the deck, she has been around a couple of years and Patrick says she likes our house because I tend to feed her on a regular basis. She just roams through our few houses and gets attention and food, not a bad life for a cat!
I wanted to include a photo of the beginnings of the nursery being painted. Patrick hates to paint and I guess this was one of those days when he said he was painting but he was really wasting time, notice her name painted on the wall. It is finally finished being painted and he did get all the molding painted and installed, we've ordered the carpet and are waiting for it to be installed so it is finally comming together.
December at the Lang's
The Christmas tree is finally up and finished being decorated, I was only allowed to decorate what I could reach and Patrick finished the upper portion last night. So it is beginning to look like Christmas at our house. Notice no gifts under the tree, this year our gift is a baby girl who will arrive in the New Year!

It's official - We are having a Taco!!!
Had the sonogram today and yes she is being stubborn, still breach. She is in the shape of a taco with her head in my ribs, feet in the same place and butt down. The entire time we were watching her on the sonogram we never saw her face because her legs and feet were wrapped around her head. From all measurements she is average size and my Dr. believes some her lack of movement is due to being stuck and having limited space to move around in. At this point she weighs 4lbs 7oz according to sonogram and will probably be about a 7lb baby once she is born. She can still turn, and we are keeping our fingers crossed she does. If she doesn't we have some options and will discuss those more when I am at 36 weeks which is about 4 weeks away. Patrick finished the painting on the nursery and we are trying to get carpeting installed so that it will be ready for her arrival. Luckily it doesn't appear she will arrive early which was my concern since we are so far behind on everything. I'll post some pictures of the nursery once we get it finished.
