Memorial Weekend 2012

Taylor and Amanda have been at us for years to join them on their annual Memorial camp out, this year schedules and the stars aligned.  Sadly Ash and Rich couldn't make it but their kiddos could come with Mom and Dad.  Kaitlyn and Devin just moved to Idaho so we missed them as well.

Image
It was cold, we spent a lot of time in the tent, which was amazing! It was like a miniature canvas house, complete with picnic table and wood burning stove.  Taylor and Amanda take their camping business very seriously!  The site included a toilet, kitchen and shower that they built!

 We even brought Marshall.

Image
This was just the back half of the tent.  We slept 6 adults, 9 kids, and 4 dogs comfortably!

 Hunting for Bigfoot!

Image
Found him!  Right in the middle of the picture, the small object stalking away.  When we were driving through the woods, he jumped out behind us, roared at the kids, then trudged away through the meadow.  It was very exciting. : )

But before we left the boys found a tree that they felt the need to chop down for fun, I think they really just wanted to show off their muscles.

Image
On our way home we stopped in Panguitch and visited the quilt walk historical marker.  We had a blast and now that we've gone I'm afraid we'll have to go much more!
