Christmas Sewing

 It is that time of year to start focusing on Christmas sewing for my family and Etsy shop.  I love making original stockings using English paper piecing, appliqué, and both hand and machine quilting.

Pieced Hexagon Quilted Stocking

I have finished a couple of dozen stocking so far for my Christmas 2016 Etsy Shop listings.  This one is my favorite so far -

I made this one using Moda fabrics by Bonnie and Camille.  It is hand pieced and machine quilted.

Patriotic Sewing - American Flag Mini Quilt

I spent some time on Flag Day sewing this cute Stars and Stripes mini quilt using a pattern by Camille Roskelly of Thimbleblossoms.  It seemed appropriate to be sewing with red, white and blue.  I included some of my favorites from Moda and Riley Blake in this mini quilt.

It's Flag Day! Patriotic Pillow in Cathedral Window pattern

I tried a new technique with this pillow top - Easy Cathedral Window.  Check out Missouri Quilt Company's tutorial on youtube.  I made it in a fun patriotic red, white, and blue colorway.  Currently it is listed in my Etsy shop.

Drawstring Bags

I finished a cute pair of quilted drawstring bags this morning for my Etsy shop.  I love Michael Miller fabrics and the Sommer collection that is out now!

Early Christmas sewing

I have been working on a collection of Christmas stockings for my Etsy shop over the past few weeks.  They will be listed soon.  I have been using antique quilt block designs, applique, and both machine and hand quilting.  Here is one of them.

Never too early for Christmas Sewing

I pulled out my stash of favorite Christmas fabric prints by Ann Kelle for Robert Kaufman and made some Christmas drawstring bags for my Etsy shop.  I like to sew Christmas all year long!

Sock Monkey Drawstring Bag

 I finished this Sock Monkey themed drawstring bag over the weekend.  Wouldn't it be cute holding a small boy's special birthday gift?  He could also use it to store his toys and gadgets after the party is over.  I have a couple for sale now in my Etsy shop and they come with a matching personalized gift tag.
