Crash.... boom....bang
Well Clayton had one rough crash on Friday at daycare. He fell on a plastic table cover and boy it got the best of him. He know has 3 stitches. He was such a champ. I think it was harder on mommy than Clayton. The before stitches pic is under the Sept 2009 folder for those of you who want to see it.

County Fair in Ohio
We just got back from the Morrow County Fair in Ohio. We had a wonderful time. The kids could not wait to see their cousins. They did awesome on the car ride out and back. Thank goodness for DVD players!! While we were at the fair we enjoyed all sorts of fried foods, Hawaiian Ice, shakes, and the kids favorite besides the Hawaiian ice was bug juice. The kids adore their cousins. McKenna even dressed one day like her cousin Julya. She thought it would be neat to wear a white button up shirt and khaki pants so people would think she was showing animals. If it was up to her we would have a horse and goat in our back yard. Her cousin Julya and Aunt Debbie signed her up for the goat obstacle race. She had so much fun doing it and did great for her first time walking a goat on her own. Both kids loved the animals and acted like they were pros when it came to feeding them, brushing them, etc.

First Day of Kindergarten

McKenna's first day of Kindergarten. Hard to believe she is old enough to be going. Dave and I took her to daycare where she could catch the bus. She did not want to be late. We then met her over at her new school, Voy Spears Elem and watched her get off the bus. McKenna did not understand why parents would go with kids on the first day of school. She kept saying but school is for kids mom not parents. It was a fun morning seeing how excited she was for school. I know we will have to remind her of this in a few years when she does not want to go.

McKenna and Clayton

These two just love to play with each other. Who knew the car would be big enough for the both of them. Clayton is 18 months old now and full of energy. Who would ever thought he could be louder than his sister. Pretty comical watching them try to out scream or talk each other. McKenna is 5 and will start Kindergarten on Tuesday. We are getting ready for our vacation in September to the County fair in Ohio. McKenna is so excited to see her cousins.

Ready for Kindergarten
We went this week to enroll McKenna in Kindergarten. Hard to believe our baby is old enough to go to school. McKenna was so excited for enrollment. I think the two things she was really wanting to see was where the library was and where she would eat lunch. Dave and I took her out for dinner afterwards. Now we have to go for screening this week and she is all set. I keep trying to talk her into waiting a year because I am not ready for her to grow up. She hugs me and tells me it is okay I will see her after school.

Yes We are Alive......
Well as you can see the past few months have flown by. I have been bad about keeping the blog updated because like many of you with working and spending time with the kids the night is gone. I am going to try and update it once a month so we will see. So what have the Ledgerwoods been up too? We went to Branson for a weekend in November to see the Christmas Light display. The kids had a good time and of course McKenna loved the hotel pool. Then came christmas and boy did the kids have fun. The holiday season is so wonderful watching it in your children's eyes. My brother and his girl friend along with Yeller their yellow lab spent the holiday with us. Then for New Year's my Aunt, Uncle and cousins from Ohio were in town. We really enjoyed all the company for the holidays.
Clayton turned One in February!! Boy where did the past year go. He is such an amazing boy but of course he is all boy. He started walking around christmas. I thought he would but of course he would do about 10 steps and stop. Then he would get back up and do 10 more. By the first of the year he was running. He loves to climb stairs or move objects to stand on to reach things he should not. He is constantly on the move. I was so not prepared since McKenna was so different. She never got into things or was just not that inquisitive. Clayton now has 8 teeth. If you would like to see more pictures of his birthday go under the ledgerwood picture link.
McKenna is still playing soccer although with all the rain we have had we may end up playing till June to try to make up games. She is still dancing as well and really enjoys it. She has her first dance competition on the 25th of April and her recital is June 12th for anyone who would like to come see her perform. She is getting ready to end her Pre-K program at her school. Hard to believe I go this month to enroll my baby in Kindergarten.
The end of February we took a family vacation to Florida. We stayed at Dave's parents place and went to Busch Gardens, Lowry Park Zoo, and went to the beach. The kids did wonderful on the plane and we had a really good time. The kids loved the beach and Clayton was fearless of the ocean. We have more pictures under the Ledgerwood picture link. We almost stayed in Florida since we left 70 degree weather to come home to snow.
Okay so that is what we have been up to the last few months. Sorry I have not been keeping everyone up to date but you all know how it is. Please click on the Ledgerwood picture link to see pictures from Claytons birthday, our trips, etc.
