A couple of days ago something terrifying happened to me! It was about 8 in the morning, on a morning that my prayers were answered and the girls slept in, and I hear one of the dogs running wildly back and forth, in and out of our room. I roll over intending to get up and let her out to use the restroom and open my eyes to see a HUGE, brown labrador dog about to lick my face. We don't own a labrador. This is not our dog and I start freaking out because I have absolutely no.idea. how this dog got into my house. I didn't know if Brian accidentally left the door open when he left for work and the dog got in my house that way. I jump up and shoo this dog out of my house, but both doors upstairs were closed. I go down to the basement and the sliding glass door is wide open! The girls must of left the door open last night and we (Brian) didn't make a final check before bed. It was an open invitation for the neighbor dog to come right upstairs to "play" with my lousy guard dogs. They were running around having a play date..no telling how long this dog was in my house. It was a good thing it wasn't a coyote or a moose! Scared me too death!
My sweet 4 year old Avery said to me the other day, " I know Heavenly Father wants it to snow, but I really, really want the sunshine to come!" Oh, how much I am waiting for spring to happen.
A conversation that I had with Avery and Delaney on Saturday after showing them pictures of their new nephew, Joshua.
Delaney-- "mom, why don't that baby have no teeth!" hahaha!
Avery later on in the afternoon she heard me ask Katie if the baby was in the nursery at the hospital and she asked, "is baby Joshua at church?" I told her "no, he is at the nursery in the hospital. That babies go there after they are born." She responds with, "I hope he has some good toys to play with!"
