Action Pieces
These pieces were used as pitch artwork and inspiration for the directors. They are based on layout sketches by Jim Daly III.
People of the First Light Sketches '04-'05
These pieces start traditionally with an abstract ink wash or gouache, and then go digital about half way through. I like the build-up of texture to show through from the ink even in the final image.
Landscape Studies 05-06
All of these are gouache/watercolor except the page of thumbnails from my sketchbook.
About half are original and half are composition studies from other artists.
I find this to be one of the best ways to inspire myself before a painting.
