Me - Crissy Licciardello Lippman - I will likely be the author of this blog, though I'm hoping that Ahr
en will jump in on occasion as well. I married my fantastic husband, Ahren, on August 30, 2003 and was one of the best decisions I've ever made. In August of 2005 Alexandra Lyn joined us and made us a family. The basic story is that I work three days a week in my Dad's Financial Planning office. I handle the employee benefits portion of the business, and really enjoy it a lot. I think I pretty much have the perfect job. :) Of course - that's my part time job, but my full time job is Mom...I take that last part back, the perfect job is Mom. When I was working at Tufts Health Plan, and pregnant with Lexi my boss told me, "Being a Mom will be the best and hardest thing you will ever do." Boy was she right. I never knew it was possible to worry about as many things as I have found to worry about since the day I found out I was going to have a baby. I also never knew how fantastic it could feel to rock your precious baby in your arms, or to have her snuggle up next to you and say, "Mama, I wuv you." Best and hardest - no contest.
The Daddy - Ahren Lippman - Maybe he'll come on and write a little bit about himself, but here's the w
ife's view... Ahren supports our family by working his tail end off as a Credit Analyst at State Street Bank in Boston. He leaves the house at 6:30am and arrives home at 6:30pm. He's been on a four year journey to earn his CFA designation, and we're hoping that the journey will come to it's successful conclusion in 2008. When he's not working tail off, he's home playing with his baby girl. Lexi adores her Daddy, and the two of them have a blast playing together. Ahren and I also bought a house in 2007, so many of his days off are spent working on projects around the house. Let me tell you - this guy was a MAJOR score!
The Baby - Ale
xandra Lyn (Lexi) - I can't describe her in a paragraph...Lexi is 2 years and 4 months old, and thinks she's in high school. She keeps us laughing every day, even the days that she's "testing" her boundaries. We had a rough start with some pregnancy scares, and medical issues in her first year, but things seem to be moving along "normally" now, and nothing could make us happier.
The
Cats - Charlie and Peter - Our furry babies who enjoy waking us in the middle of the night, walking on our keyboards while we're trying to type, stepping right in front of us while we're trying to walk, and rolling the sheets while we're trying to make the bed. Yes...they drive us batty, but we love them lots, and couldn't imagine life without them.
So, that's the cast of characters. Of course, there are other extremely important people in our lives, and I'm sure I'll be talking lots about all of them in future posts.
