Fall is just around the corner...here is a promotional postcard I created for a mailing that my agents are sending out.  :-) It was always one of the best times of the year as a kid.

Skyscrapers

Appleseeds Magazine asked me to be their featured artist for this year so I will be doing around 9 covers for them.  I have been having a great time so far.  I am currently working on the third one.  This is the first I did below.  This issue is on skyscrapers:

Beatlemania

I grew up on the Beatles because they are my Dad's favorite band so I was so excited to get this assignment.   I was asked for a picture of the Beatles coming off the plane to America the first time.  I gave that sketch but I also gave them another one and not so secretly hoped they would like it better.  I have always found the pictures of Beatles fans to be amusing/fascinating and thought it would be really fun to draw all of the faces.  Turns out they did like my second sketch because they had me do both!

Here is what I came up with...my face kind of hurt at the end of the first one because I often catch myself making the face that I am drawing and there are a lot of crazy faces in there...Thanks for the awesome assignment Joshua Banks!

Happy May! This is a promotional piece for a postcard I did for my agents.  The theme for this mailing is "nautical".  I did this a few months ago so I was in my NYC apt wishing I was at the beach...

Appleseed Magazine - Medusa

The May/June issue of Appleseed Magazine is all about snakes.  I illustrated an article on how snakes are perceived in different cultures throughout history.   This was such a fun assignment to work on.  I learned a few things and what artist wouldn't want to draw Medusa?
