Forgive

Decided to revive this. And since I created this blog initially for my literature class, (and in the end was never used. Haha.) I think I'll just stick to the theme. Perhaps this is a better place for me to express my feelings as compared to FB. Here's the latest poem written today.

Disillusioned,
Angry.

Does it really matter?
Is it worth the trouble?
Seems a hopeless situation,
A road leading nowhere.
Shattered,
Trampled Upon,
Excommunicated.
Response? Forgive...forgive.

The Soldier

This poem was introduced in literary appreciation class yesterday. Such a beautiful poem. I almost cried after hearing my lecturer recite it. It's not every day that I come across writings that stir my emotions so greatly. The poet's expression for his nation is truly inspiring. "I am England" was what he was saying. I don't suppose many of us have a passion so great for our country so much so that we are able to say that, but I do desire that one day, I'd be able to say it from the core of my heart that "I am Malaysia"

The Soldier by Rupert Brooke

If I should die, think only this of me:
That there's some corner of a foreign field
That is for ever England. There shall be
In that rich earth a richer dust concealed;
A dust whom England bore, shaped, made aware,
Gave, once, her flowers to love, her ways to roam,
A body of England's, breathing English air,
Washed by the rivers, blest by suns of home.

And think, this heart, all evil shed away,
A pulse in the eternal mind, no less
Gives somewhere back the thoughts by England given;
Her sights and sounds; dreams happy as her day;
And laughter, learnt of friends; and gentleness,
In hearts at peace, under an English heaven.

Liz has a blog!

The main reason I decided to start a blog is because my literature lecturer has requested that everyone taking his class do so. No, I'm not complaining. I'm merely stating the reason why I suddenly made this decision. After all, I'd like to do well for this class *smiles* But yeah, I've been thinking of starting a blog for quite sometime now. After much procrastination, I guess I'm "forced" to do so, all for a good cause, I believe. And I look forward to writing more posts in the future. I can just imagine what my friends would be saying.

Friends: You finally started a blog!
Me: *Nods* Yes, yes I have.

And now you have it. Liz is not only reading blogs now. She's finally started one. *Clap clap clap*
So much for introduction=)
