Update: I am going to remove my Etsy links from here as they have put up their prices therefore making it impossible to make any money. I spend such a lot of time on my patterns to sell and feel my worth is not appreciated as Etsy are (in my opinion) money grabbers. They just put up their fees up again and they allow mass produced stuff to be sold on there. It makes it difficult for those of us who put in the work to produce quality hand made items. Please use my Ravelry store https://www.ravelry.com/designers/lizzie-mayne
I have been crocheting for several years it started with trying to make a baby blanket for one of my grandchildren and not knowing what was I was really doing the sides just got wider and wider. So I turned to Youtube and still do for the best teachers in the world for anything and everything. I think I’m quite an advanced crochet now, but I still get it wrong.
I have recently started to sell my creations in pattern form through my Ravelry store which you can find Here if interested.
My recent projects are:
Hello again: I have had the pleasure of my youngest grandchild staying for a few days along with my daughter. I have been designing another lap blanket when she saw it and immediately took a shine to it. So I quickly finished it up and wrapped my beautiful sleeping grandaughter in it.

The pattern for this is on my Ravelry store here.
Hiya: Spring has definitley sprung here in Herefordshire, UK with swathes of beautiful Daffodils everywhere.

But it’s still cold enough to have the log burner going and cosying on down with something delicious. Well! I’ve been busy again designing a new lap blanket. This one is based on the colours from a West country Clotted cream tea. Who doesn’t love one of those? The age old question is cream or jam first? that all depends which UK county you are from. Personally I prefer jam first then cream.

Here is my Cream Tea lap blanket. If you would like to make it for yourself you can purchase the pattern from my Ravelry store here.
Hello Everyone. It’s late winter now with a glimpse of Spring around the corner. I have been very busy burrowing away designing a Granny square blanket made up of varying size squares but easily put together. I have created a jam packed written pattern full of step by step photos and full written instructions. It has been inspired by Cornwall and the colours of lichen and moss that adorn the granite rocks. The coastal walks are something else in late spring with the riotous array of coastal flowers, Thrift, White Clover, Common Storksbill and many more. If you arae interested in making this yourself there is a written pattern stuffed full of helpful instructions and photos. You can purchase it from my Ravelry store here.

Hi Everyone. Autumn here in Hereford is well under way with colourful trees and still mild weather. I have had a week all to myself while my husband is away on a walking holiday with his friends. I have been crocheting and have come up with a new beanie design which is very easy and uses up lots of scraps of yarn. I’ve also been designing stencils for Stencil Girl which will be released soon. You can purchase the pattern for the beanies from my Ravelry store here.

Hi All This is my latest design. It’s a child’s winter Holly Berry Beanie, hope you like it.
If you are interested in purchasing the pattern from my Ravelry store here.

This latest design is called Avithos beanie.

These hats are called Bishop’s beanies as they remind me of a bishop’s mitre and come in multiple sizes. if you would like to buy the pattern to make your own then click on the link to take you to my Ravelry store.

Bishop’s beanies
These are called The Staplow beanies. I’ve taken the name from a place in Herefordshire. UK. If you would like to buy the pattern to make your own then click on the link to take you to my etsy store.

My Nautical striped beanie. This beanie reminds me of the nautical colours used in the seafaring flags. I designed this one with begginers in mind and who are delving into mosaic crochet. The pattern has plenty of help and photos.

This is my adventure into mosaic crochet tiles. The mosaic tile can be used to make pin cushions, table runners, cushion covers, afghans, bags or even garments. It’s up to your imagination.

This design is called meander as it reminds me of a meandering river. It can be made into anything as it comes in a chart form with instructions.

This is a Swiffer cover I made because I was fed up with buying throw away expensive cleaning sheets. So I decided to make one that can be flung into the washing machine. Hopefully this does a little bit towards not filling up a landfill with rubbish.

Other crochet projects I’ve done were for personal use or giveaways. A sample of the numerous projects I have done. far too many to put up on here.
