You see yourself in your Kids!

I had to share this because I thought it was so adorable. As many of you know, my husband is in the Pest Control business, so he is on top of everything like treating and such around our house. Especially since we recently moved to Arizona, and the main concern here is scorpions. It seems like scorpions have been particularly bad this year, maybe they haven't, but when you are in the business of scorpions they may seem like they are, so my husbands has seen a lot of them since being here. Levi has a black light that he will take to customer's houses to look specifically for scorpions, and he uses it around our house as well.
Almost every night Levi is home in time to help put the kids to bed he will take his black light into the kids room and check every inch of their room for scorpions. It is actually really cute, and the kids think it is the coolest thing.
Well the other day we realized there were a few things that we needed around the house that we didn't have for emergency circumstances. One of those things was a big flashlight. We have a few smaller flashlights, but we wanted a bigger one that would cover more area. We went to the store and found a package of flashlights with a nice big flashlight, and two smaller flashlights that we thought the kids would have fun using.
This morning, a sunday, Levi and I were trying to get ready for church and the kids were making that difficult. We decided to get the flashlights out and let the kids play with them so we could get ready. While we were getting ready we kept the monitor on so we could hear the kids play. We heard Wylie say something about bugs so we both went to go see if there was a bug in her room. When we went into her room, the kids had the light off, and they were searching for bugs with their flashlights... Just like their Daddy! I couldn't believe it. It was the cutest thing. I asked Wylie what she was doing and she  said, "We're just checking for bugs Mom." And Easton followed up with "There's no bugs."
It was one of those moments however, when you realize your kids really do watch EVERYTHING you do, and they are going to do what you do. :-) It definitely makes you sit back for a second and think twice before you say or do anything. Little kids are so much more intelligent that I think people give them credit for. Especially the first few years of their life. The things they learn and retain within those first few years is amazing. You hope that as a parent you are doing the right things to help them progress.
I love my kids so much, and I love these special memories. I look forward to getting to share them with them some day when they are older, and their kids are imitating them. :-) For now... I guess I better always be self aware of what I am doing, the kids are always watching...

One Month to go!!!

Wow I can't believe that we are already to this point.... Ok I take it back, FINALLY we are to this point! :-) I thought that the more kids you have, the quicker each pregnancy would go bye because you are always so busy. Boy was I wrong! I feel like I have been pregnant forever for some reason. Thinking about it though, maybe I feel that way because in a way, I have been pregnant forever. For the past 3 years I have either been pregnant or nursing a kid so I really haven't had my body to myself. I hope that doesn't come across selfish, but even if it does I don't care!! I WANT MY BODY BACK TO MYSELF FOR A LITTLE WHILE PLEASE!?! :-)
Ok know that I have that off my chest... We are down to the last month of this pregnancy. It has been a pretty easy, and enjoyable pregnancy, with one very active baby. I told my doctor that if he took a picture of my insides I am sure they are bruised because of all the kicking and punching this little guy is doing. Just like most woman I have had my aches and pains, but I have been fortunate not to be sick or anything.
I am now to the point in my pregnancy where I start going to my doctor every week, and hopefully this little guy and my body are starting to prepare and get itself ready for the big day. I am very anxious to meet this little boy, and so is his brother and sister.
I went in for a doctor's appointment the other day, and everything looked great. He just randomly did a little ultrasound, and when he did the ultrasound he saw that our little Kinsler was breached. I was completely shocked! Both of my other pregnancies my kids have been head down the entire time, and I never thought I would hear that word in reference to one of my kids. Even something like that can be nerve racking for a mother to hear. The doctor gave me some "exercises" and some things that I can do to help get him to turn. He also told me if those don't work, my other options are that he can try and turn him, or of course a C-Section. I don't know why with every single one of my pregnancies so far I have been threatened with a C-Section, but apparently it is just going to be part of my pregnancies I guess. I have another appointment next week, and my doctor will check where the baby is then. Hopefully he will flip, if not we will talk about him flipping the baby, and he will check me to see where my body is as far as preparing for labor. Over the last month or so I have been occasionally having contractions here and there. Nothing too overboard, mostly just tightening in my stomach and menstrual cramp feeling. I am hoping that is a good sign, and that I am starting the process to labor. :-)
I have been frantically doing all of the exercises and stuff that my doctor has told me to do, as well as a few rituals I found online, so hopefully this little guy will flip by my next appointment. Levi gave me a great Priesthood Blessing that has helped me relax, and not stress about it too much. I know that whatever is supposed to happen will, and that I have a great doctor that will do whatever he can for me, and for my little guy.
I am getting more and more excited for this baby to be here. I don't know what I am going to do with 3 kids, but I am excited for the adventure!

St. George!!!

Labor Day weekend!!! Initially we had nothing planned for Labor Day weekend. Levi's nephew who lives in Saint George was getting baptized that weekend, and as badly as we wanted to go, it is about a 7 hour drive there, and we just didn't have the money to go so we had told my sister in law we wouldn't be there. I tried a few times to convince Levi that we should go, but I guess I just wasn't convincing enough. :-)
That Friday(of Labor Day Weekend) I was on the phone with Levi's mom, she told me that everyone was planning on going to Saint George that weekend. I had mentioned to here how badly I wish we were going to Saint George, and how much we missed everyone. We hadn't seen any of Levi's family since February so we were really missing them. As soon as I mentioned to her that I was even thinking about making the drive up, and that I had been trying to convince Levi that we should go, my mother in law was thrilled. She was so sweet, and told me how much she wanted us to come up, and even offered to help us make the trip. Before I knew it I was off the phone with my mother in law, and Levi was walking in the door after work talking to my mother in law. He looked at me and basically said, alright Jess if you want to go you better start packing because we are leaving right now. Apparently all it took was some convincing from his Mom! Why didn't I think about calling her earlier instead of last minute and now I am frantically trying to pack for the weekend. It was a fun spontaneous moment though.
We quickly packed all of our stuff and jumped on the road on the way to St. George. We were all really excited to be able to see our family, and Wylie and Easton were especially excited that they were going to see all of their cousins.
We headed out Friday around 4, and got to our hotel in St. George around midnight that night with the hour time loss. The drive went really well except for literally the last 15 minutes before we got to our hotel. Both  of the kids had fallen asleep and all of a sudden Easton woke up coughing really hard to the point that he threw up. We pulled over, got him cleaned up, checked to make sure he was alright, and quickly got to the hotel. When we got settled Easton was still coughing really hard, and was starting to run a fever. It was breaking my heart! It just came out of nowhere, and we would be with family all weekend. We gave him some medicine, and that night I got up with him a couple of times because he was coughing so hard, but other than that he seemed to sleep off his fever, and slept in until about 10 the next morning.
Poor Easton was still not feeling well.  Not only that, but on our way out to the car that morning for some reason, he decided to pick up a huge red ant and put it in his mouth. Of course the stinking ant stung the poor kid in the mouth, and he was crying unconsolably for 45 minutes. So far this was not his trip. Finally I think the pain went away and he was back to his normal, although still sick, self. The funny thing is that the little guy could be sicker than sick, and yet he is still the happiest kid in the world. Always a smile on his face. Well except for after he put the ant in his mouth. :-) He is just too adorable! For Beau's (Levi's Nephew) baptism/birthday they were having everyone over to their neighborhood clubhouse for pizza, and swimming. We all got our swim stuff and headed over to see our family and go swimming. Both Wylie and Easton were really enjoying swimming and seeing all of their cousins. Both of them started to get tired though, and Easton out of no where fell asleep on Levi. After a while of swimming we quickly went back to the hotel to get ready for Beau's baptism, and headed over to the church. It was a stake baptism so there was a lot of kids being baptized that day, but it was so awesome that we were able to be there to share in that special day with Beau.
After the baptism, the whole family went out to dinner. It was fun to all be together, and as always with all of the kids, a little hectic. :-) We were really enjoying being with family though. We were sad that my sister in law Jennifer, her new baby, Dane, and oldest daughter, Savana couldn't be there though. Sadly I Savana had gotten sick so we missed having them there.
After dinner we headed back to our hotel where Brenten, Maren and their kids, our family, Heath and his kids, and PaPa and Grandma were all staying. Luckily we all got rooms right next to one another so we were able to all hang out in Grandma and PaPa's room for a while. It is always fun to catch up with everyone, and to just enjoy one another's company.
The next day was Sunday, and we all went to church at T.J. and Emily's ward.  Sacrament was great! All of the kids entertained each other, and were huddled around Grandma so it made sacrament enjoyable for the parents. :-) We wanted to stay for all 3 blocks of church so we thought we would try to have Wylie go into nursery. Three of her cousins would be going with her so we thought it would help her feel comfortable going. Boy were we wrong!!! She was not having it! Cousins or not, there was no way she was going to stay in nursery. So I took Easton with me, and Wylie went with Levi to class. Apparently as soon as Levi sat down in Priesthood Wylie feel asleep so maybe that's why she wasn't having it at nursery. The rest of the night we spent having dinner and hanging out at T.J. and Emilee's house. My kids were LOVING getting to spend time with their cousins, and Levi and I were enjoying spending time with family.
The next morning Nora Ann and I went shopping for some material at JoAnn's,(everything was on sale) while the guys took the kids and went to a bunch of other stores. It was fun to be able to spend some one on one time with my wonderful mother in law, and she helped me pick out some really cute material for a bench I am going to make. After shopping we said our good byes and headed back home.
We are so grateful to Levi's parents for making it possible for us to have been able to go on this trip. They made it possible for us to be able to spend time with them, and with the rest of the family. I know I have said it time and time again, but Levi and I are truly blessed to have such wonderful parents. Still to this day they are taking care of us, and helping us out. We will forever be in their debt.
On the drive back home we decided to take the time and stop at the Hoover Dam. We walked up on top of the big bridge in order to catch the Dam in its fullest. We didn't spend a lot of time there, but it was really neat, and we are glad that we took the time to stop and see it.
We finally got home, and we were ready for bed. We had such a fun weekend, and I am so grateful that we were able to go and spend time with family. I know that both of our kids especially enjoyed seeing all their cousins. Wylie loved playing in the sandbox especially. I think all of the kids played in there for a couple of hours together. It made me realize how fast she is growing up now though. I can't believe how fast the time is going by. Where is the pause button?!? We were grateful we were able to go, and can't wait to see everyone again.

Happy 4th Anniversary!!

Wow 4 years of marriage, we can't believe it! Four years and almost 3 kids later... :-) We wouldn't change it for the world though. Because we have had kids every year for the past 3 years, and because we haven't lived close to family so we didn't really have anyone we felt we could leave 2 babies with, we haven't been able to really do anything for our past few anniversaries. This year the baby isn't due until October so I figured we should do something nice for this anniversary. Make it a "babymoon" before our third child comes and we are tied down for a while!! :-)
Now that we live in Arizona it is such a blessing to be able to see my dad so often.  My Dad travels down to Arizona at least a couple of times a month for work, so we are able to see him and spend time with him. I decided to try and use this to my advantage... I talked to my Dad about arranging a time that while he is down here that Levi and I could go on a weekend getaway while he watched the kids for us. My kids were thrilled with this idea. No mom and dad, and Papa is going to come and stay with us... Yes!!! They love their Papa! I am so grateful to my dad for being willing to watch our kids for us so that Levi and I could go on this vacation.
So for a Friday, Saturday, and part of Sunday my Dad came down and watched the kids for us while Levi and I went to a nice resort in Scottsdale, Arizona.  It was my first time away from the kids so it was a little hard for Levi to get me out the door, but I finally managed it. :-) I think before this weekend the longest I had been away from my kids was probably 3 hours, so I was taking a big leap with an entire weekend. ha ha It was very weird to not have to pack for the kids, and to drive in the car without the kids. At one point I think Levi and I just drove in silence to enjoy just that.... SILENCE! :-)
First thing we did after we left was go to dinner, and a movie. We went to see Snow White and the Huntsman, which we both really enjoyed. Afterwards we headed to our hotel. We actually would be checking in almost 4 hours late, but when we got there they told us that our room wasn't ready! You're kidding me right. I understand if we get there right at check in time, and our room isn't ready, but to get there four hours late, and your room isn't ready that kinda annoyed both of us. They compensated us with some vouchers, and told us that it would probably be a half hour wait, so we decided to drive down to the Walmart and get some snacks and stuff for the night. When we got back 45 minutes later, we still had to wait another 15 minutes before they got us our keys. When we got to our hotel, it was really nice, and they had left some sparkling cider and chocolate covered strawberries in our room. Those didn't last long! :-) It was late, and we are lame so we just enjoyed the rest of the night in together.
The next morning we decided to head down to the water park. Levi was really excited about the huge lazy river that they had, so naturally we hit that up first. It was a really nice water park. We did the lazy river, played water basketball, and layed out. It was fun to be able to relax, and just enjoy one another. Of course I had to call my Dad a couple of times a day, which I am sure was a little annoying, but I'm a mom! :-) It sounds like they were having plenty of fun with their PaPa. After playing in the water for a while we went to lunch, and headed back to our room so that we could get ready for a nice dinner that Levi had set up for us at the Arrowhead grill. (Recommended by my Dad.) Before we went to dinner though we went to the new Batman movie.  SOOO GOOD! We both really enjoyed it! Afterwards dinner was wonderful! Levi and I both got some delicious steaks and sides, and they brought us out a beautiful dessert for our anniversary! We were very impressed with my dad's recommendation, and can't wait to go back.
Following dinner we decided to just make it a movie weekend since that is one thing we haven't done alone in such a long time. We have taken the kids to some kids movies here and there, and when we lived in Utah we went to the movies once or twice. Since living in Arizona though we had not been able to go OUT to a movie in a long time just Levi and I. So we decided to take advantage of that and went to see a third movie, Bourne Legacy. It was also a great movie!!
After the movie we headed back to our hotel, and enjoyed the rest of the night in with one another. I think both of our favorite parts of the weekend was just being able to sleep in, and not having to wake up until we actually wanted too. Of course we weren't gone long enough for our internal alarm clocks to turn off though so we still were waking up earlier than we wanted to while on vacation, but at least we had the option to just lay there in bed. :-)
Sunday morning we slept in. We didn't think we would be able to make it back in time for church, so we took a little bit more time to ourselves before heading back home. My wonderful Dad decided to brave going to church and got both the kids dressed and took them to church. They made it through sacrament, but when it came time for Wylie to have to go to nursery, there was no was she was going to let her PaPa leave her so it turned into an emotional break down. We were about a half hour away so my Dad got the kids together and they headed home. I was really excited to be able to see my cute kids again. As enjoyable as it was to have some time away with Levi, I really missed my babies. I was glad that they missed me too. Of course the welcome home from them was short lived because PaPa was still there, and still the most exciting thing, i'll take what I could get though.
It was a really enjoyable weekend. I still can't believe that Levi and I have been married for 4 years. It feels live forever though. In a good way of course. I feel as if I have known him forever, and I can't imagine my life without him.  He has given me so much, 3 of those things being children that I absolutely love and adore with all of my heart! We are so blessed! I am looking forward to all the amazing years that we have ahead of us, and all of the adventures we will take with one another and our family. I am grateful that my Dad was so wonderful, and gave up his time to watch our kids for us. I know that my kids loved it! Levi and I are both so blessed to have such amazing parents, and hope that we can be half the parents that they are to us.
Happy Anniversary Levi! I love you so much!!! XOXO

VIVA LAS VEGAS!!

A couple of months ago we decided that we could use a little family weekend get away. We had the perfect opportunity when my cousin got married. He and his family live in Las Vegas, about a 5 hour drive for us, so we decided lets go.  It was also a great opportunity to see a lot of my side of the family.  My Mom, sister, cousins, and Grandparents were all coming so we thought it would be a nice 3 day trip for our family, and a great opportunity to see everyone.
This was going to be our first big trip anywhere since Wylie had been potty trained, so I was a little bit nervous at first. We decided to bring along her little potty so that if at any time she needed to go to the bathroom we could pull over, and she could go potty comfortably. That ended up being a life saver. There was only 2 different times we pulled over for her to go potty. Once on the way to Vegas, and once on the way back. She thought it was great though.
So we set out to Vegas for the weekend to see some family, and to enjoy some time with our little family as well. The drive there went great. I am so grateful that we have such great kids that travel so well. We had our snacks, activities, movies and of course music to keep all of us entertained. The drive was about 5 hours driving time, and we made it in great time. Especially with 2 kids. ;-) Somehow we arrived at the exact same time my Mom and sister arrived as well from Utah. There is no way we could have planned that any better. My kids were so excited to see their Nana and Aunt C.G. that and get out of the car and run around.
The first night we got there a little bit late so we let the kids play for a little, and then put them down for bed. The rest of us stayed up catching up and of course watching the Olympics. :-) The next day was the wedding reception, and frankly pretty chaotic. In the morning we all woke up and ate breakfast, and went swimming for a little while. Nana loves to go swimming, and so do my kids so of course that was a blast! We swam for a little while, ate, showered, and decided since we were in Vegas we would head over to the strip and see the M&M and Coke A Cola Factories. That was SO not worth it. I think once you have been to the strip you only need to go once, and I have been to the stip many times in my life, and definitely don't need to go again. It is so sad how evil and "dirty" our world has become. The worst part was walking up on the strip and people, drunk people, dressed up as characters like Elmo, Hello Kitty etc. and they would go up to your kids and give them five, breathe their alcoholic breath on them and then tell you to give them money for giving your child five. Of course we said no thank you and they would yell and scream that you are a horrible person yadda yadda yadda. It is just really sad to see where the world is going, and that they will use children. So needless to say we will not be going to the strip again.
While we were at the strip my mom went to go and pick up my Grandparents who had just flown in on my Uncle's plane. After they had all been picked up we all got ready and headed to the reception. It was so great to be able to see so many of our family members. My cousin and his new wife had a beautiful reception. The next day was Sunday, and we were all headed back home. It was a short trip, but we all really enjoyed it. We decided before we left we would go and see the Las Vegas Temple. I love that my kids enjoy going to visit the temples. Occasionally when we ask Wylie what she wants to do she will say "go see the temple." Moments like that makes a mom feel like they are doing something right. :-) So we all decided to go see the temple. We walked around the temple for about a half hour or so. We took pictures and just enjoyed spending time with one another. Wylie was sad that the temple was closed. She kept pulling on the temple doors trying so hard to get them to open. We told her that some day she will be able to walk through those doors, that seemed to be satisfying enough for her at the time.
After saying our goodbyes it was back on the road again to head home. It had been a short, but a great weekend. It was great to be able to spend time with family, and to be able to get away for a little while. It had been a while since we had some time with our own little family. The trip back went well... towards the very end the kids started to get a little bit antsy to be home, but luckily a lot of silly songs kept them occupied enough to make it home. Both Wylie and Easton were excited to get to sleep in their own beds again. As soon as we got home we were all pretty worn out so we basically went straight to bed. It was a fun trip, but it is always good to be home again.

Wylie in Nursery!!!

Again more catching up.....

Wow!!! What a crazy roller coaster nursery has been so far with Wylie. As soon as Wylie turned 18 months old and was supposed to go into nursery, we started going out of town, and were in the process of moving. So for the first month of what was supposed to be the beginning of nursery, we were gone. At this point we had moved to Utah for the next couple of months.  While we were in Utah, we were going back and forth between Levi's parents house and my parent's. When we were down in Gunnison Wylie would NOT go to nursery, and at my parents ward every time I went to take Wylie to nursery they didn't have a teacher, or it was always a substitute. Needless to say it was a very rough, and inconsistent experience for Wylie, and made her very clingy to me. Especially with no consistency. I could not leave her without her screaming and crying. So the options were... stay in there the entire time with her, or she came to class with me after long crying episodes.
Finally we moved here to Arizona, where we could at least start establishing some consistency with nursery. Again it was a long process... It started all over again... crying, clinging, and never going to nursery. :-) I was even more nervous because she was finally getting better about going to nursery, and I at least could stand in the corner without her crying, they changed the nursery teachers. Luckily for us one of my friends got called into nursery, and her daughter(Wylie's friend that lives across the way, and they play together a lot) turned 18 months and was now in nursery. Yay maybe a solution to our problem. I was optimistic about nursery.  Wylie knew Tiffani(her new teacher) and I was hoping that because she knows Tiffani, and her daughter maybe this familiar face would help her to adjust to going to nursery. I also never thought about it, but I decided that maybe we should try and have Levi take Wylie to nursery instead of me. Start completely fresh with new things... The first couple of times Levi had to stay in there for almost the entire 2nd hour of church, but eventually she would go and sit with Tiffani, and not cry. We were making progress. Although Levi would have to stay in there for a while at least he could eventually leave and Wylie was really enjoying nursery. :-)
SUCCESS!!!! Thank you Tiffani! It was such a blessing to us, maybe not to Tiffani, that she was called into nursery. Wylie now LOVES nursery! Levi takes her to nursery, Wylie runs in, sits down and starts reading a book, Levi leaves, and on the way home all Wylie talks about is nursery! It was a LONG process, but we finally figured it all out. Next stop Easton.... That little guy is already begging to go to nursery. I don't think he will be a problem. At least I hope not!! :-/

Potty Training!!!

I'm doing a lot of catching up since I have been so HORRIBLE about posting on our blog lately. We have had so many new changes going on, many of them fun, and a little bit stressful.
A couple of months ago I decided that, although I wasn't exactly ready for it, it was time to start potty training Wylie. I was running out of time, and I wanted to make sure I had her fully potty trained before the baby got here so that I didn't have to worry about potty training and taking care of a newborn at the same time. I also didn't want to have 3 kids in diapers. Two kids in diapers is more than enough. :-)
This being my first experience with potty training I was really nervous. I had no idea what I was doing. I found myself searching on the internet and asking everyone I knew what they thought was the best and most successful way to potty train.  At first I was really intimidated because so many people talked about how much they hate the potty training process.  Of course this is the last thing you want to hear or read about when you are about to embark on this adventure yourself.
I finally came across a great blog, (http://www.growingajeweledrose.com/2012/05/how-i-potty-trained-my-daughter-in-3.html) that talked about how they potty trained their daughter in just 3 days. After reading this woman's blog I decided that I was going to test her method. It seemed like the most successful, and stress-free way to do it.
We had gotten a potty for Wylie a couple weeks prior to starting the processes. We let her pick it out, and she decided to go with Elmo, of course. We talked about starting potty training, and got her familiar with the idea of it.  She was really excited and eager to try, which helped me get excited as well.
We set the day that we were going to begin this 3 day training, and potty training in its whole. We went to the store and got a bunch of fun prizes, treats, let Wylie pick out a bunch of new panties, and activities to do while we are bunkered down in the house for the next 3 days.
Day 1:  Let the fun begin! The first thing that morning I took Wylie into the bathroom, took off her diaper, had her try to go on her potty. We then talked about potty training and she got all excited when I told her we get to wear her big girl panties from now on, and now that she is going to be potty trained, no more diapers!! We tried to make the bye bye to diapers, and hello to panties a really exciting moment. Wylie seemed really excited about being a big girl. After we picked out panties we took her Elmo potty into the living room, and I told Wylie that we need to keep our panties dry, and any time she needs to go potty she needed to tell mommy, and go potty on her Elmo potty. Oh it all sounds so easy right... ha ha
I decided that I also wasn't going to do anything with pull ups or diapers. We were going to be strictly in underwear, even for naps and bedtime... I decided the first few days we are really learning about the potty we would just skip naps all together.
So here we are the first day of potty training and I am anxiously waiting for Wylie to have an accident. After the first hour I started asking her if she felt like she needed to go potty. She kept telling me No, and I didn't want to be too persistent, but I was getting so anxious, and she had drank a lot already. All of a sudden while we were watching a movie Wylie spun around really fast, and gave me the most priceless look. I asked her if she needed to go potty and she nodded her head. I told her to hurry and sit on her potty, and as she ran all of a sudden I saw a little bit of pee running down her leg. Oh man... So close. :-) She sat down and finished going potty on her little toilet. Even though it wasn't perfect, we had our first semi-successful potty experience. Wylie was really excited when she saw how excited I was that she went in her toilet. We cleaned up, picked a prize, and talked about how good she did and next time to go to her potty and tell mommy before she starts going potty in her panties. She kept saying "Don't get my underwear wet." I knew there was going to be little accidents, so I am glad we bought a lot of underwear. Throughout the rest of the first day, she was doing really good, but unfortunately we just couldn't quite keep our underwear completely dry. She would tell me she needed to go potty, but would start going just a little bit too early so it would get in her panties.  I was starting to feel a little bit discouraged, but I knew I couldn't give up now. The night came, we stopped giving Wylie anything to drink 2 hours before going to bed, and told her if she needed to go at night to come and get mommy or daddy so we could go in the potty. I was nervous, but I didn't want to confuse her by putting a pull up or a diaper on at night.
We all went to bed, and around 3 in the morning Wylie came into our room and woke me up asking to go potty. Of course I figured she had probably gone in her bed, but when I took her to the bathroom she was completely dry. I checked her bed, dry! YAHOO!!! Even though it was the middle of the night, I felt like I had to at least give her an M&M. I was so excited and proud of her. She got back into bed, and I told her if she needs to go again to come get mommy again. She didn't get up in the middle of the night again, but that morning when she woke up, she came and got me and we went potty. Again, she was completely dry! The part that I thought was going to be the hardest so far had been the easiest part. :-)
Day 2:  The next day went so much smoother than the first day. Throughout the day she was telling me that she needed to go potty, and ended up only having a few accidents the entire day.  Luckily so far, even the first day, we didn't have any poopy accidents. Wylie was really enjoying being a big girl and I was loving not changing 2 diapers all day long, and thinking of the money I would be saving... well at least for the next few months before our new baby was going to be here and I got to start that all over again. :-)
Day 3:  Wow I can't believe we have done so well so far, Wylie has done amazing! Throughout all of day 3 we only had one accident, and still no accidents at night.

We started getting back into our regular routine of things.  Everything had been going well, and then all of a sudden Wylie started to have accidents. AHHH!!! We were doing so great! I found myself having to ask her a million times if she has to go to the bathroom, and cleaning up pooped in underwear. This was not what was supposed to happen. I figured that we would have occasional accidents here and there, but not race to the bathroom accidents. I decided that I would have to revert back to reward for telling me when she has to go potty, and even consequences for accidents. That worked out nicely... It didn't take long for her to be back to telling me when she had to go to the bathroom and not having accidents. I think she just got lazy and was testing me. Luckily we fixed that quickly. I don't know what I would have done if she would have continued to have accidents. There was no way I was going to put her back into diapers.
Although we have had our ups and downs with the potty training experience, it has over all been a good experience, and a lot less terrifying than I thought it would be. Since Wylie has been potty trained we have even gone on a couple of road trips. I was terrified that she would have an accident in the car, but we decided that we would take her little potty with us, and keep it in the car. That way if she really needed to go to the bathroom, and we could pull over at any time, and she could comfortably go to the bathroom. I am glad we brought the potty because it got used a couple of times. And..... NO ACCIDENTS during either of our trips. Our little girl is amazing! I am so very proud of her, and it has been nice only have 1 in diapers over the past couple of months. I guess I better enjoy that while I can right?!? :-)
