African Christmas

Image
Graydon and Hunter were in there schools annual african
Christmas play. Hunter was a hunter and Graydon was a
warrior and a shepherd. They loved performing I guess its
in there genes. There play was at Tuachan this year in the Hafen
theater. Graydon got to sing a solo while playing one of the
shepherds. It's such a neat program and all the procedes go to
children in Africa. It helps the kids realize that there life is
pretty good compared to kids in other countries.

Hunter is scouting for bad guys to make sure the path is safe.

I finally got Graydon's solo posted .

Oh Christmas tree Oh Christmas tree

Image
Image
I put up my tree a week ago but I had to add a couple
things to it before I posted it. I changed my colors last
year to brown and green and this year it needed something
a to make it pop a little, so I added the cream balls and
poinsettias. I'm happy with the way it turned out. Every
one that comes over thinks my tree is fake because it is
so perfect. It literally didn't have any bad spots at all.
I love it. Thanks for cutting it down for me babe.

Graydon

Image
I wanted to post some pictures of Graydon's
early years. I didn't have any on my computer
so I took pictures of his scrapbook, that's why
they look kind of funny.
Graydon joined our family family December 5
2000. He was three and a half weeks early
and weighed in at 5lbs 7oz. He stayed in the
hospital for 3 days. I remember how horrible
I felt when we had to leave him there overnight.
But we got to bring him home the next night.
Graydon has always been an angel. He was
a perfect baby and when he got older he didn't
change much. When you told him to stop he
would always stop. He was a great toddler
when both his brothers were born. He has
always been a good older brother and has
always set a great example for our family. I
knew early on that Graydon was going to love
sports like his dad. While his cousins would play
with toys he always had a ball in his hand. I
always wondered if he was normal, because he
never played with his toys.
Here is a list of 10 things we love about Graydon.
1. Always has a smile on his face (except when he
loses a game).
2. He is always willing to share with his brothers
and sister.
3. He's very respectful to adults. I constantly get
compliments from his teachers at school and at
church. They love to teach Graydon because of
his sweet disposition.
4. He loves his family and always puts them first.
He looks out for his little brothers at school.
5. He has a strong testimony,he was
born with his testimony and I know it
will continue to get stronger. He loves to learn
about the gospel. And tries his hardest to make
good choices that will make Jesus happy.
6. I don't know what I would do if Graydon didn't
take out the trash. That's his job and he rarely
complains when he has to do it.
7. His big brown eyes that light up when he smiles.
8. He is such a big helper when it comes to his
little sister. I don't know what I would do
with out him. He always brings me diapers
and wipes, gets her out of the crib, plays with
her and keeps her entertained. Graydon
is very protective of his little Ava already I
know he will always watch out for her.
9.What would we do for entertainment if we didn't
have ball games to watch. I love to watch him now
and can't wait to watch when he gets older.
10. Graydon we are so happy you came to our home.
You fill us with so much love and joy, thank you for
be so easy to love and raise.

Graydon is 8

Image
We went to Dixie bowl for graydon's birthday. All the family was there except Krista's family
and Colby. It was so much fun to have all of our family there. They are so great to support
us all the time my fam and Lance's we are so blessed. I scored the lowest out of all
the adults. I got a whopping 80 points which was 10 points less than Dillon. Bowling is
not my strong suit. I 'm so excited Graydon is 8 and will be able to get babtized. Its
hard to belive we have a 8 year old. The kids had a great time bowling, Dillon was a
little nervous at first. I think he was worried about looking dumb in front of every one.
He soon got over it when he got a strike. Lance got Graydon a BB gun, he was 8 when he
got his first BB gun so he thought it was only fitting that Graydon got his too.
Graydon we love you so much we hope you had a great day.

Thanksgiving Weekend

Image
This is the only picture I got on Thanksgiving but it's
pretty cute. We ate dinner at my aunts house this year.
We had a good time, I made a berry pie. It was really
pretty I made a lattice top for it. It was good for my first
attempt at a berry pie. The rest of the day was pretty low
key , we just visited with family. I got up at 3:30 on black
Friday to go shopping. My Mom, Dad, and brother Troy
went with me. It was fun, we got some great deals.

Image

Image
Saturday we got up and did a little yard work. Our
trees have needed a good thinning for a year. My Dad
brought over his chainsaw and him and Lance got
to work. The boys had to pick up the branches and
put them in a pile. They didn't like that too much but
they were a big help. Thanks Dad and Lance they
look great!

After we were done with the yard work we loaded
the four wheelers and headed up to Cedar Mt. to cut
our Christmas tree. All of my family came but Colby.
We had a great time It was a little chilly but we survived.
the boys had a great time in the snow. We made it back
with out any tragedies. I love my tree I think it is my
favorite one I have ever had. I'll post some pics when
I get it decorated.

Ava stayed in the truck with my Mom , it was way
too cold for her on the four wheelers.

The weekend

Image
Image

Image
We had a fun weekend it started with Graydon playing his
last flag football game on friday, his team and Hunter and
Dillon's team both made it to the playoffs. They both lost in the
first round but thats okay at least they made it there.
I didn't get to see Graydon's game because Ava and I
weren't feeling that well . When Lance and Graydon
came home after the game Graydon was crying and went
straight to his room I of course knew then that they must
have lost. Lance was a little frustrated also, they had a
touchdown called back at the begining of the game and that
really got there spirits down. . I didn't get any pics of
Graydon playing football posted so I put a couple pics on.
He played quarterback most of the time. Saturday
morning we went to see Twilight. I loved it Lance
thought it was pretty good also. The kids got to sit on Santa's
lap and I of course forgot the camera. Dillon and Hunter
watched Twilight also they liked it too. Hunter thought some
parts were freaky but they were not scared. Towards the
end Dillon was a little bored and was ready to leave. But I
had a great time I didn't want the movie to end I wanted
it to go through all of the books. I can't wait for the next
one. I loved all the characters I don't have a favorite because
I loved them all. I loved Charlie Bella's dad, he was hillarious.
You must see Twilight if you haven't.
Then on Saturday night we went to the Jubilee with the kids.
They loved all the trees, gingerbread houses and homemade
baked goods. We got three cinamon rolls for $1.50 I thought
that was a great price. We all got to vote, the kids and I all
voted for the Grinch tree. So amazing and she designed it
all by her self. I should have taken a picture.
Oh I almost forgot we closed on our house finally!!!
We have been trying to get financed since March.
I was so happy everything finally worked out so now
we finally own our house. We leased it from my grandparents
3 yrs ago. So we really had a great weekend.

Jubilee of Trees

Image
It's done! We decorated our tree for the Jubilee yesterday.
I had tons of fun with our tree this year. For the past five
Amy and I have decorated a tree for the Jubilee and we
love it. Our theme this year was naughty or nice as you
can see in the picture. We do something different every
year. Its fun to spend other peoples money on Christmas
decorations . Hafen and Lambert ins. sponsored our tree
this year so my mom came shopping with me and bought
all the stuff. You never quite know how it is going to turn
out but every year has been a success. Our trees have
always sold for a large amount of money, but this year
will probably be different with the economy the way it is.
If you have ever wanted to buy a tree this will be the
year because I'm sure they won't go for as much.
Thank you mom and dad for the money, thanks Amy for
doing this with me every year. Thank you Shawn and
Aspen Mill they seem to build something for me every year.
This year it was the box. Thank you Hayley and Shela for
babysitting. And last but not least thank you my sweet hubby
for letting me do this every year and taking care of the kids after
school and dealing with all the late nights of preparing I love you.
Every one please come to the Jubilee of Trees it is only a dollar
to get in and the trees this year are amazing. There are tons of
of things for the little ones too. My kids love to look at all the
trees, there are a lot of children oriented trees this year they
will love it, don't for get your strollers for the little ones.

Triathlon

Image
Graydon competed in his 1st triathlon on Saturday the
15th. He has been swimming with lance for the last
month, and riding his bike. He even got up at 6:30 one
morning to walk with me. He did awesome we were
all so proud of him. I wanted the pictures to go along
with the swim, bike, and run. But I downloaded them
the wrong way and couldn't change it so we are going
back wards. You should start at the bottom and go up
since my journaling is that way.
Good job buddy you are amazing ! We love you so much!!!

almost there... Lance is in the back ground he ran
the last part of the 3/4 mile run with Graydon.

Image
As Graydon is finishing the 2 mile bike ride, dad
is standing by and the first words out of his mouth
are "Did we win?" you see he had to leave his flag
football game early for the tri so he didn't know who
won. We are in trouble, he is just like his dad.

I decided that I should journal more, since I want to put
our blog in a book. I was going through my pictures
on the computer and found one of me and Lance at my
brothers wedding two years ago. I thought it was such a
good picture of us, so I put it on my blog . I showed it to
Lance and he replyed that doesn't even look like you .
So that is my motivation to look like myself in the picture to the
right. I started walking with two awesome women about
2 weeks ago ( thanks Stephanie and Holly) and I go to
Zumba once a week. Now I just need
to start eating healthy. I went to Lins got some good
food and I finally think I'm ready to get in shape. I only
have 1 more month of nursing hopefully the weight will
come off faster. I tend to keep it all on when I nurse.
After Halloween I asked the kids if they were going to share
their candy? Dillon sweetly replyed I'm going to share with dad
but not you mom ,then he looked at me and said uh skinny! So
Dillons trying to help me out too. Isn't he sweet. Then he went
on about all the skinny people he knew. His aunt Hayley was at
the top. You just gotta love them.
I started a cake decorating class. So I can make Ava a cute
first birthday cake. It is definately easier than it looks but I have
had a lot of fun learning all the different techniques. I'm very excited
to make Ava's cake. I'll have to post some pictures of my next cake.
I just got some great news. For Lance's Christmas work party
they are going to take us to a private showing of Twilight next
Saturday on the 22nd. Now I don't have to stand in line to get
a great seat, or pay for that matter. I'm soooo excited!!!!

Halloween

Image
Image

Image
Hunter is using the force! He was so excited
to be Obi wan . Out of all the kids Hunter loves
to dress up the most.

Image
This is Dillons scary ninja face. Dillon wanted to be a bat
first, so I made him a bat costume. Then on Halloween
I told the kids to get ready so we could take pictures
thats when Dillon decided he wanted to be a ninja instead.
I was a little upset but gave in and decided I wasn't celebrating
Halloween any more. Then Dillon told me ...Mom I will be a bat
next year and the year after that, he felt bad that I was upset.
Its okay I told him you don't have to be a bat if you don't want to

Image
All the kids except Graydon he was at his baseball
tournament. He just started playing on a club
baseball team so he was a baseball player, since he
had and hour in between games. He trick or treated in
his uni. Yes he would rather play ball than trick or treat.

The Bees

Image
Shawn and Hayley had a Halloween party and this is how
Lance and I dressed. Aren't we cute. Lance got the
award for funnest costume. His mom helped me make
are costumes. Lance's stinger somehow got sewn on the
side of his butt instead of in the middle. It looked hilarious.
Thanks for dressing up for me babe. Your the cutest
Pollen Jock I have ever seen. ( those of you that have seen
the Bee movie will appreciate that)

Dog problem

There is this dog that isn't right behind us but next to the house
that's behind us and it starts to bark at 7:00 every morning and
doesn't stop until 9:00. I kid you not it does this ritual every
morning and it is really starting to irrate me. Lance says he is
going to buy a pellut gun and shoot at it, but he probably wont.
Any suggestions? I would love to hear. Am I being dumb ?

ImageMy moms boss and our really good friends
Mike, Spencer, and Denise Haynes went to
Snow Canyon to ride segways for Spencers
Birthday. It was a blast. I have always wanted
to ride one but never had the opporunity.
You could say I was a little uncordinated
when I first got on one but I got better at it.
If any of you watch arrested development
I felt like Gob riding around,of course he
is way better than me.
Lance couldn't come because he took the
young men from our ward to the BYU game.
He really missed out, but he had a good time too.
We barbaqued hamburgers and hotdogs and
had homemde rootbeer. Snow Canyon was
beautiful, I don't know if you can tell from
the pictures but the leaves were golden orange.
The weather was perfect. We brought the boy's
bikes so they could ride around, they had tons of fun
following us on the segways. Chip and I went for a
ride on the bike path, everything was going great until
he decided to be funny and get really close to me
to try to scare me. He ended up getting to close and a are
tires rubbed together and we crashed. I only got
some skin taken off my ankle but Chip
got a little worse, but we both survived. Don't worry
I forgive you little brother.
