Today we forgot to take Lyla to primary activity day, we only remembered when we showed up to clean the church and all the kids were leaving. We never remember those things! We made up for it by taking the kids to Taco bell for supper on the way home. We didn't get anything to drink and Brook cried all the way home. "I want a drink. Hand it to me. I'm talking to you, Mom. Hand it to me." It didn't matter what I said, she didn't believe me that I didn't have anything to drink. When she saw the house she quit crying and said "Whoo, whoo! Were home and I want a drink of water."
By the way, she informed me that her name isn't Brooklyn it's just Brook. And she isn't sweetheart either, just Brook. So now we know!
Bryan spent the day at a horse sale with one of his friends from school. He's a dreamer.

Back Finally!
My husband of all people has motivated me to update this blog. Not that anyone reads this anyway. We are wrapping up spring semester of Bryan's second year, and trying to figure out what to do for the summer. We will probably end up in Burlington, but who knows, miricles can happen!
Bryan applied for the Army health professions scholarship program and has gotten himself on the alternate list for the second year in a row. We just love alternate lists, nothing like not knowing what your life is going to be like until the last minute. He is also considering applying for an job with the college doing a research project on summer pneumonia in calves. The job is about 6 hours south of here, and again he won't know if he gets it until the 15th of May.
I went on a "date" with Lyla tonight. We went to the movie How to Train Your Dragon in 3D. She thought it was awesome, she told me she hoped she dreamed the whole movie so she could watch it again. It was good to spend time together that didn't involve nagging and whinning. Next time I will have to take Timber out but with a less scary movie. If it doesn't involve princesses, she isn't interested.

Spring!!
Yesterday and today the weather has been in the seventies. It has been soooo nice, the kids and I spent most of the last two days outside even though my house suffered. Brook has a high fever the since monday, but it is finally started to break. The doctor checked her out, but couldn't find anything and she hasn't had any other symptoms, so I guess we are just going to wait it out. Luckily the other kids are healthy. We have invited a couple from Bryan's class over for dinner on friday, so I have to start thinking about what to make, and panic because of my messy house.
Bryan's mom is also comming on Sunday to stay a few days, so that is another reason to panic over my mess.

Snow!!!
This has been a crazy month. It was up to 79 degrees in March and now we have had several snow storms. The kids have cabin fever, so I finally let them go out and play. Here are some pictures of them in the snow.

Driving
It seems like all we do lately is sit in the car. It isn't far to Lyla's school, but it going 30 mph takes 20-25 min. to get there. Then we have to go back and get her 3 hours later. That is like a trip to basin and back TWICE every morning. If she didn't love it so much, I wouldn't keep her in preschool. She didn't want to come back to Burlington for Vivian's funeral when she found out she would miss a day of school. Yeah, she likes it that much! Timber was really sad the first day we took her to school, she wouldn't leave the school building. She kept yelling, "NO, My Lyla!, My Lyla!" and all the way home she had her arms folded "Not fair mom, Not fair!" She does a lot better now but everytime we drop Lyla off at the classroom Timber has to make sure we are going to come back and get her. When I reassure her that we will then she will come with me. I think Timber is starting to like the extra attention at home while Lyla is gone but she is sure happy to see her when we pick her up.

Staying Home
We all have colds, every last one of us. Lyla has been doing breathing treatments for the last 5 days. I don't think her preschool teacher believes me anymore that she is sick. Anyway, so we have all been stuck in the house for a very long time. Except Bryan of course. He has had a rough week as well. I am not sure how many tests this week, but all he does is study and eat.
