Promos are coming.
I think we are probably the last school to take promos.

Good luck to everyone taking promos.

We have 3 days left.
Let's make it our best.

Hopefully I will be in sufficient condition to take the promos next week.
Cos my condition is like a (-x)³ curve now.
Don't ask me if I am feeling better.
Go plot that graph on ur GC to find out.

Sigh.

"He's in perfect health but he is unwell."
Oo an irony! (Unexpected Outcome = Result)

mabel: rested a lot. still the same =/. I think I will rest more.

Adfstrata: 2 weeks! >_< so far.. u free by end of this week right?

mukkey: define minor.

Wakka02: =( alright den..

I might be abstaining from PE for 4 weeks.
Mr Alex Lee said that he wun let me take PE nor make-up until I am safe to do so.
But I might end up with a lot of make-up if I recover.
So is that a good or bad thing?
Hm. I think I will go get a long-term mc instead.

The common question now is: Are you feeling better?

I aint. Though I hope to be better.
The chest pains aren't going away though its intensity have dropped a little.
I think I will be alright though.

Just more rest...

Hm here I am blogging from home. I didn't go to sch today.
Thanks to Wee Keong, Carena, Gerald, Jia Ying, Kim, Wayne, Jewel, Jia Min, Lydia, Joan, Tian Xiang, Chris, Douglas, Timothy and everyone else for your well-wishes.
And special thanks to Zkai who flooded my inbox with smses. Hahas.

Happy Birthday to Lydia who turns 17 today.
Now you can stay out after 12am legally at night!
Hahas.

I visited the A&E last night cos of prolonged chest pains on the left that somehow became severe in the last two days.
Don't wanna die yet before promos, so I decided I might as well check my condition.
Went through the standard procedures.

The final result was:
My heart appeared to be in normal condition.
The chest pains may be arising from stress levels and insufficient rest.
However, since I experienced chest pains while running, I had to see a heart specialist.
I also appeared to have an external injury on my chest to the left.
So my chest pains could very well be arising from this injury.

The final proclamation was:
more REST.
RELAX more.
SLEEP early.
and survive on painkillers till I see the specialist.

and I think probably get on a more healthier lifestyle.
Cos I just realised.
I dun exercise.
I eat a lot of unhealthy food.
I sleep at around 2am.

I think if I live like this forever, I would be cutting my life every night.
So I decided to sleep early!
So surprising.

Ah. The chest pains are acting up again. I m gg to take some painkillers. Bb.
I think I have enough painkillers from the doc to last a month.

Hm. Zkai and I was approached by some AJ pple the other day.
They were doing a survey on Christanity.
And I believe they were spreading it too.

Gregory(1 of the 2 guys) asked me if I believed that there was a single entity out there, a god, that created this world and watched over us.
I said each of us have our own perspectives, so I declined to comment further.

And I wonder, is there really someone watching over us?

**********************************************

My thumbdrive has been missing for a week or so.
i.e. I haven't seen it for quite some time.
All along I thought it was still attached to my com.
But i culdn't find it ytd.
And I tot that was the end of my thumbdrive.
Maybe i left it carelessly in one of the school coms.
I dno.

Then just as I was doing my revision, my hand accidentally bumped into my pencil case.
It tipped precariously over the edge, but I didn't reach out to grab it.
I just watched it tip over and fall slowly.
It hit the floor with a loud crash and my thumbdrive clattered out of the pencil case.
I was surprised.
As if I was intended to find it.
I never knew it was in there though I have been taking out my stationary and putting it back.
Why didnt I grab at the pencil case just now?
There was something that stopped me, something that told me to just let it fall.
I dno what.
Maybe I just think too much.
Haha.

Remember the series of 'Absolut' ads which they showed us during Geo lecture?
I found the one on Singapore which Ms Johnson was describing.

Image

Description:
ABSOLUT SINGAPORE is on page 11 of the 10/01 issue of Scanorama, the takeaway in-flight magazine of SAS (Scandinavian Airway System) and is an ad in the ABSOLUT CITIES OF ASIA Series. The ad shows a woman's hand using a red cloth to clean an Absolut bottle in the typical white spotlight. In fact, she has done such a great job, that she's cleaned the letters off the bottle! Singapore is a country in South East Asia, located at the tip of the Malay peninsula; the ads use of colors, primarily red and white, is reminiscent of their national flag. Printed up the left margin is TBWA, ©1999 and photo by Herve Lafond.

I think I understand what the ad means now. Singapore is soooo clean. A green city indeed.
And clean of protestors and terrorists. Yeah.

Or so I thought.
That item WAS supposed to be at Gerald's house.
but i didn't expect that everyone was so evil.

Moral of the story: never leave your bag alone when going to the toilet

Argh. after trying so hard to make sure that it doesnt end up with me..
its with me in the end.

Wahahahaha today I had quite a few super random trips to some pple's houses.
Met Chris at the porch so me and zkai decided to visit his house.

So. 1st stop. Chris's house.
We stopped outside the prata shop there for lunch 1st.
Haven't visited one since March.
I miss those days back then.
Ate paper prata and chocolate prata + 'milo+coffee'
its quite nice.
when u drink it u will taste milo on ur tastebuds.
den when u pause, the aroma of coffee will give you a new taste altogether.
a rather creative drink indeed.

I rmb the last time i went to chris's house.
its been 1 year and 14 days since.
Time flies. I couldn't believe it had already been more than a year since i last visited.
He brought us on this obstacle route the other time -_-
with thorns, overhanging leaves and branches and plants to jump over+ ledges
god. i aint going through that again.

we saw a roadkill on the way there.
a poor salamander(no chris its definitely not a komodo dragon. those are too rare and too big. though salamanders are uncommon too.)
it was quite big. about 20 cmX8cmX0.3cm
cos it was 0.3cm in height.
i suspect it was taller before a car ran over it.
there was blood all over. gross.

Chris sure hasn't lost the habit of torturing his guests.
dis time he wanted me n zkai to guess which was his house.
cos we were supposed to know.
so we passed by his house abt 5 times b4 zkai located it.
wdh.
dat was sth like a super long marathon.
i checked my weight on his scale in his living room(for no reason apparently)
i am 55.6kg!!!
Omg pple.
I was 48kg in March!
I am getting so super fat.
I NEED A DIET!

Stop no.2. Qingwen's house.
2 min walk. 12 houses away.

Omg la qingwen. I cant believe that was the item you wanted to pass to me. LIKE OMG. LIKE DAT ALSO CAN! you win liao lor! but i left the thing in gerald's house on purpose. muahahaha. he and princess will take gd care of it!

Stop no.3. Gerald's house.
20 min trek. 2189523865 houses away.
when zkai said it was out of the way. he meant it was far far far far far out of the way.
its like desolated in the middle of nowhere.
and my legs are super tired now walking in and out.
wah lau.

Gerald was happily fantasizing playing Kingdom of Hearts when we reached there. u r supposed to be studying! he's got a super cute and friendly dog called princess.
when we reached there, gerald told us dat nice lil princess had just killed a bird.
and it was simulated by the feathers i saw still flying around the house.
Ouch.

we spent some time there just watching him play his PS2.
tried to get his dog to move.
it refused to budge no matter what we said.
like 'come, princess' and just calling 'princess'.

So i got a nice idea.
I said: 'princess, lets go find your new _______'
and the dog ran to me!
LOL. gerald! tsk. even ur dog uds u so well.

Yeps. nice lil dog there. Might go give u a random visit next time again.
Ya. Shld bring the dog's new ______ there also.
Lol.

"Funny. why i using ______ like gerald? LOL. Pple. Please don't infer!"

No. 1 in the world. Tsk.
Behind that screen, the 'number one' country in the world is bound to lose its status soon.
We watched a video during GP today.

It told us of America's current situation.
Can you believe that 1/3 of the students in the USA drop out every year while 1/3 of them are not prepared properly for college?
That is to say, 1 student in the USA drops out of school every 9 seconds. And only 34% of the students can make it TO college.
I ain't talking about those who drop out after some time in college.
That's the standard of the no.1 country in the world?
An education system that has never changed since 1959?
Call it traditional, but face it.
This IS 2006.

The facts are right.
Schools which are more capable of providing students with resources tend to produce better students.
AJ is currently ranked 6th in sg.
but we are a far distance away from the 5th place.
an extremely far distance.
i begin to think that we are labelled as muggers because we study so hard to make up for the lack of resources so that AJ can still be considered as a 'decent' sch.

The environment matters.
And the teachers matters.
If we have teachers that teach 3 pages an hour, I ain't surprised if our results turn out with a 79% failure rate.
Can a turtle teach the hare to run?
Definitely not.
As a result, the hare has to read his own manual.
And manuals are different from teachers.
yet some teachers are..

I dun deny we have gd teachers.
Mrs Low is a gd teacher.
Yan lao shi is also a gd teacher.
Maybe I will see some more gd teachers in the near future.
But as of now.
There's nothing more I need to say.

I think I am under too much stress!
I am so stressed that lately I have been giving stupid replies to teachers!

Omg la. And I dun even know what I am saying!

On Mon i submitted my super late homework to miss huang.
she said she wasn't accepting it cos it was already quite late.
so i explained to her that she told us to submit it on monday.
den she found out that i didn't do the homework i was supposed to hand up last week XD
so she had every reason to reject me.
anyway.
She asked: "What benefits can you offer me?"
I replied: "50 cents".
And she told me to stay back.

Omg la. That's like the dumbest reply ever.
and I cant imagine how I said that out without thinking!

Then today Mr Lim saw me talking.
so he said: "Xin Chu, repeat what i just said".
and i replied: "Xin Chu, repeat what i just said".

OMG. I am going crazy!!!! Save me someone!!! I need medication!!!
AHHHHHHHHH! am i still sane?

i did the calculations. the probability is like 1/168.
its not very high, but it isn't very low either.
about 2.5 in 420.

Pair dance today.
I danced with a lot of random people.
Its kinda boring.

And i thought they were gonna do 'mambo' style.
I guess things were somewhat better.

I finished learning Gravitation today!
Muhahahaha! I will thrash everyone in next year's gravitation exams!!!
If there's a next year!
Don't ask me why I learnt an untested topic.
My tutor taught it. And he said AJC was like the last sch ever to learn the topic.
Its supposed to be a continuation of circular motion.

I need to study for SPA.
Good luck pple.
Tmr gonna be a long day.
Like. 24 hours long.

Just finished watching the Matrix.
Its a rather complicated movie.

My dad doesn't understand its storyline.
So he doesn't know what the heck is going on.
I do understand what's going on.
And I like this movie.

I prefer science fantasy movies over any other genres.
Star Wars is one of my fav.
Matrix might not be so much towards science fantasy.
But its something new altogether.
I like kung-fu movies too.
As long as its something new out of this boring world.

Actually come to think of it, there's also another world which many of us live in.
The digital world.
What we call being 'online'.
I am always online. Everyone knows that.
I indulge myself in another world altogether.
Where communication is possible over distance.
Where everything exists in a different way.

Online life is different.
People communicate via a different way.
We 'talk' without having to open our mouth.
We 'talk' with our fingers. And our keyboard.

I like this different of life because of how different it is.
I tend to be more open.
Its an easier life to live.
Who spends time taking exams online? -_-

So. I like stories which creates a whole new world.
Because any world appears to be better than the one I am living in.
But face it.
The real world's the one we actually live in.
So just let me indulge in my thoughts for the moment.
Before I get knocked back into the real world and realise that I still have an Econs test tmr.
Sigh. The real world.
Sux.

Come to think of it. I usually on my com to listen to music.
Perhaps I wun need to do so anymore when I have an mp3 player.
*hint hint*
Lol.
I know everyone's feeling like this now.

Image
Me too.
But let's all take it easy.
If you wanna know how stressed you are, try taking the Cattleman's stress test.
It won't take you more than 1 min. Trust me. You will know if you are too stressed after that.

Anyway.

Good luck to Doug, Tim and everyone else who are starting their promos tommorow.
You guys get to go first =)
Dun worry. We are coming later.

I heard about the dance tommorow.
Yes we are going to do yet another new dance tommorow.
No its not just any dance.
Its gonna be a pair dance.
As in guys/gals dance.
I am so not interested.
Isnt there anything else worth spending time on other than dancing?

I mean.. can't AJ PE department hold like a mass studying session or something?
Lol. The words of a mugger.

I should be studying.
Still have to cut my hair later and Matrix's showing tonight.
Did I mention that one of my fav shows was matrix?
Hm. It all started when I woke up at 2:40pm.
All my time's so darn cramped now.

I haven't done any of my homework because I was too busy studying.
Any teacher gonna accept this reasoning?
Guess not.

Hey pple.
Dun forget to sign up for the post promos programmes!
Login to Schoolbuzz and sign up for the programmes you prefer.
You dun wan to end up in dance if u cant dance XD

Here's a quick list of what's available.
The number of places remaining are that of the last time I saw it(for PDGs 19 to 27).
Under Character Development Programme Workshops(Sign up for 2):

Power of a Team
Session 1 (7.45am to 9:15am): 26 out of 120 places taken.
Session 2 (9.45am to 11.15am): 31 out of 120 places taken.
Everyone wants their team to be an Extraordinary Team! We will introduce all participants to a conceptual framework for thinking through team processes. We will provide a set of basic, practical tools to support collaborative problem solving and consensus building efforts and to enable participants to use new skills and knowledge to encourage and facilitate the development of their teams in the work that they do, the relationships they build and the processes they use to achieve results to become Extraordinary Teams.

Winning Relationships
Session 1 (7.45am to 9:15am): 120 out of 120 places taken.
Session 2 (9.45am to 11.15am): 40 out of 120 places taken.
Nick Bayliss, a lecturer in positive psychology at Cambridge University stated, “the single, most potent and richest source of happiness is the breadth and depth of our relationships.” He went on to say, “humans are highly social and craved the comfort of knowing they were valued members of a group that could share experiences and emotions.” This workshop deals with directly applicable how-tos in building and maintaining winning relationships.

Essence of Leadership
Session 1 (7.45am to 9:15am): 36 out of 120 places taken.
Session 2 (9.45am to 11.15am): 76 out of 120 places taken.
Leaders are made not born. If you have the desire and willpower, you can become an effective leader. Good leaders develop through a never ending process of self-study, education, training and experience. Based on the powerful leadership challenge, participants will not only discover their own leadership style (MBTI way) but also discover how to rise up to the leadership challenge.

Power of Shared Vision
Session 1 (7.45am to 9:15am): 16 out of 120 places taken.
Session 2 (9.45am to 11.15am): 42 out of 120 places taken.
Drawn from the Fifth Discipline, this workshop provides a useful framework for a team to consider and develop a coherent, shared set of conceptualizations, goals and values for a given project or work. By providing an opportunity for each team member to articulate and shape hopes and expectations for a project, the group can develop a shared vision which helps create a culture that values the full and effective participation of all of its members, regardless of personal identity, experience or background.

Its rumoured that for this year's promos, schools are unlikely to retain people as they have been advised not to do so.
Apparently the reason for this is cos our syllabus for this year screwed up badly.
And there will be a major change to the syllabus next year such that we are unlikely to adapt to if we get retained.
Sounds like we just became guinea pigs in a failed experiment.

Anyway. Is not retaining a good news?
Actually not.
They wun retain pple.
They expel them directly instead.

Perhaps the 'major change' is that they wanna remove Pluto from the syllabus as a planet. I cant think of any other reason for the syllabus change though. Perhaps the syllabus is really screwed up. That's why so many of us are failing.

There's this new school that has been set up recently.

Its a school for dropouts to remain in school.
I wonder if I will be there next year.

Got tagged by Rudi. Wad a weird tag.

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123. (my nearest book doesn't have a page 123! so i went for page 23 instead)
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 3 sentences on your blog along with these instructions.
5. Don't you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest.
6. Tag five people

the 5 lines are:
Second degree price discrimination is where the firm charges a pminimum price per unit for a specific quantity of the commodity, a lower price for an additional batch of the commodity and so on. For example, electricity companies in some countries charge a high price for the first so many kilowatts and additional kilowatts are charged at a much lower rate.

LOL. I was doing Econs homework.
Hahahahahaha.
But I just realised I grabbed the wrong book.

5 sad other ppl who have to waste their 5 mins doing this:

Spent a full and wonderful day in sch today.

Mr Seow got surprised today by the wonderful and efficient communication system.
Hahs.
It only took him the time to walk from one table to another for information to transfer from one table to another.
Such is the wonders of technology.

I stayed awake during Economics lecture today!
Clap pple!
That's like one of my biggest achievements ever.
Not that it will help me pass Economics.
But I always do better on the subjects I give up on.
What an irony.

Mr Lim had to rush off (for a date?) so we ended Physics early
Lol.
Jiamin's been mentioning the matchmaking agency to him almost every lesson.
Poor him. Wonder who's he dating?
Or is he really matchmaking?
Hahs.

So I spent the rest of my day in sch studying maths with zkai.
He will probably score better than me in promos for Maths.
Cos Doug did.
For all I know zkai might repeat history.
qing chu yu lan sheng yu lan.

Oh yes.
Pple.
You don't have to look into every word I say, reinterpret it in every way you can think of, and search for hidden meanings in it.
Cos there are probably nothing in them. Even if there is, its absolutely unintentional.
Now that sounds familiar.
Who said that before?
Lol.
Can't say we are in the same boat.
Cos we aren't.
I am just like standing in a disaster waiting for rocks to drop on my head.
And I am getting rocks hurled at me.
Ow sia.
And I better stop talking forever.
Cos every sentence of mine appears to have a new meaning derived from it.
No there's absolutely nothing hidden in my words.
Thanks for not coming up with everything I can't imagine.

Hi all!
Thx to a tip I received from an online friend, here's one way to fix Windows Live Messenger temporary. Please help to spread this message.
This is the original message probably from the MSN staff.
Yes. Msn. not Msm.
Lol.

"Hello,
As per the problem you mentioned, here's a temporary fix:
Login as admin to your computer, open this file in notepad "C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\hosts"
Add these two lines to it and save
65.54.239.80 messenger.hotmail.com
65.54.239.80 dp.msnmessenger.akadns.net
Exit MSN Messenger and reopen it.
Should work, spread it around if it does."

Here's the correct way to fix it though.
Open the folder "C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc"
look for a file called hosts
Open it as Notepad.
To do so, simply double-click on the file, den select "Select the program from a list"
Den scroll down until you find "Notepad".
Click on it and press "Ok".
Add these 2 lines:
65.54.239.80 messenger.hotmail.com
65.54.239.80 dp.msnmessenger.akadns.net

at the end of the file.
Exit MSN Messenger.
Re-open it.

Spread the message pple!!!

If the above tip did not help you, please do not contact me.
My Msn is working now though.

An article extract from "The Non-Existent Times: Entirely Fiction"
Disclaimer: This is probably fictional.

"MSM went down for over 8 hours today as demonstrators gather to demand for MSM to be placed back online."

Today, many online users were stunned around the world as the famous online chat and file exchanging service, MSM Messenger, went down for over 8 hours today. The world was thrown into disarray as communications were cut off on a global scale. Businesses went to a standstill as employees could no longer discuss their work online. More than 5 million people spent 1 hour or more of precious time restarting their computer and MSM Messenger program trying to figure out what was wrong.

As the long downtime was creating a huge disrupture to millions of people, demonstrators soon gathered outside the MSM main office to demand for the server to be placed back online.

Our reporter went down to interview some of these interviewers.

A certain demonstrator who wished to be known only as Ah Beng said: "I dunno leh. maybe its cos those people at MSM want to charge people for using the MSM service. Got rumours like that spread around very long already leh. So I come here protest in case really must pay to use."

Another demonstrator who did not wished to be named offered his views: "The MSM ar, is my life leh. I everyday on MSM to chat de. Today ar, cannot login, cannot chat, my life gone liao. How can? So I must protest until MSM is back! Siam, siam. You not here to protest dun come ji siao. Pple want to protest ok?"

While our reporter was being pushed back, he noticed a confused looking demonstrator standing nearby. Curious, he decided to interview this person.
"Huh? MSM is simi? I see people come protest then I also come lor."

On the other hand, MSM spokesman Llib Setag has expressed his views on the matter on behalf of the whole MSM staff.
"Knn! Kb la! Down for a while only come here demonstrate. You all bo liao ar? Go home sleep lar!"

And we have come to the end of the news report brought to you live from our brave reporter at the MSM main office! Have a nice day!

Life is an irony.
But noone's laughing.

The hols are ending in 1 hr.
I have pretty much done quite some revision on Maths.
I am starting on Physics next.
I shall conquer the promos!

I followed Joey's advice to get well.
Drink lots of water.
About one cup every half an hr.
I decided to cut that down to 1 cup an hr.
In case I end up seeing the doctor for bloatation instead of flu.

Spent most of the day resting (doing homework)
Didn't go out today.
I will be in sch tmr.

Have you all spent your hols well?
I have. On everything but homework XD

Sometimes we just don't know whether to laugh or to cry.
To feel happy or to feel sad.

Wah lau. I fell sick with only 2 days of the 'study break' left.
It should be just the common flu bug.
I hope.

Symptoms: Sore throat, Cough, Flu
I feel so cold now.
Do I have a fever too? Hope not.

Went studying with Joey today.
No more studying for me tmr.
I need the rest.

I had this super weird dream last night.
It probably originated from a combination of events ytd.
Mainly "The Host" and this article I was reading.

So I dreamt that I was with someone(can't rmb who).
Then we met this weird person.
And the other person with me accidentally killed him.
And later we found out that the poor guy was the president of some country.
Lol. Weird.
Anyway we became fugitives on the run.
The other person got caught.
So there was only me left on the run =(

And I was travelling through areas which I had never gone before.
Just walking around randomly.
Didn't dare go home in case there was an ambush there for me or sth.
Then I found myself at the block where I had tuition.
And met Joan and Ken there gg for tuition.
So I told em I couldn't go cos I was on the run.
In case I got trapped inside that enclosed place of a flat.
So I didn't go for tuition.
Lol.

Wandered around some more till late at night.
Met Tx.
He offered me a free haircut(huh?) at his house.
So I took a ride on his transport.
Which was a minibus with a taxi sign on top of it.
And his mom was driving.
Lol.

And I woke up.
Hahas.
Wad a weird dream.
It feels bad to be on the run.
Don't end up as a fugitive in the future!

=)) Had a long and enjoyable day today.
Guess wad?
The super accurate xc who always arrives exactly on time at any meeting(except those in Bishan) was 12 minutes late today!
And the reason was the stupidest one ever.
I was at Bishan Mrt at 10:47.
Going to meet up at Somerset at 11:00.
I was already late.
And guess what?
I took the train on the wrong side.
And I went to AMK instead.
Lol. How dumb.
The result was that I was at AMK on the correct side waiting for a train at 10:55.

Went to Cineleisure.
We went to the arcade for a while before going to Kbox.
Kbox was very entertaining.
We started off with a Happy Birthday song for Chris.
Yep. Its Chris's bday today.
Happy Birthday!
Hope you enjoyed urself today =)

We sang for 3.5 hrs.
Den got chased out.
Haha.
It was particularly entertaining to watch Zkai and Doug dancing.
Lol.
You should really see them.
Oh yes.
I have decided to check on each song's MV before I dedicate songs to pple.
Anyone got any idea what's the MV for "zu ni yi lu shun feng"?
We all nearly died of laughter when we saw the MV.
It starts off with.. rows and rows of tombstones.
Lol. Get it?

Zkai left us for tuition after Kbox.
We decided to wait for him to end his tuition so we culd all go for dinner.
Went for lan on the 9th floor.

Met up with Zkai after that.
We went for dinner at Scotts Plaza.
For some reason, he kept talking about a certain topic after coming back from tuition.
What has he been talking about the whole tuition eh?
Gerald???
Got explanation?
Wait till I get at Zkai again.

Doug, Chris and me decided to go for a movie after that.
The Host.
I checked the genre of the movie again and again.
On multiple sites.
It all said 'horror'.
But I could have sworn that the genre should have been 'Comedy'.
Its like a 60% comedy and a 40% horror show lor.
And the guy who wrote this story.
Is damn anti-climax.
1.5 out of 5 stars cos its genre is 'horror'.
3 out of 5 stars if its genre is 'comedy'.
Oh yes.
The title of the movie also doesn't fit the storyline.
They should call it "The Big Bad Monster" instead.
"The Host" just doesn't make sense.

Watch this movie anyway.
If you want a good laugh.
If you want a good scream,
go get a roller coaster ride instead.

Reached home at 9:30pm.
How early.

"Rearing back, ready to throw the cocktail. Aims at the target. His arm swings back in slow motion, poised at the ready, and the cocktail slips from his hand and shatters on the floor. Wdh."

Hm. The moon looked pretty normal to me last night.
It was as bright as ever.
However, the night sky were shades of orange last night.
I wonder why.

Awww. No wonder I read somewhere that "to find a good spot, sit back, and hope the moon changes color."

Haha. I am going out with the Herd later.
And I should be going soon.
Cya then.

Dunno why. For some reason everyone's been saying there's something wrong with me.
Hahas. Do I look so stressed? =P

So here's a big big smile from me!
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Can make it into the Singapore 4 million smiles or not?

Yea lately my mood can be read like paper.
Not feeling so good.
Not stressed by promos I think.
More like the stress which I put on myself.
And I am still wondering what's causing it.
Haha. I am still feeling super weird now even as I am typing this.
As if something's wrong.
But I don't know what.

So.. tonight the moon's turning orange.
I will be watching it with everyone else who are watching it too.
Its the same moon ;)

I found the perfect song to fit my mood.
Wait a while.. its loading!

Hmm the moon is so big and bright tonight.
Wonder if it will be as big and bright tommorow night.

There will be a lunar eclipse fully visible from Singapore tommorow night =)
I was wondering..
If a solar eclipse occurs when the moon is blocking the sun,
what is blocking the moon when a lunar eclipse occurs?
Now I know the answer liao.
Its the Earth.
Aiyo. Cannot be UFO wad.

A solar eclipse is only visible from few countries as the moon is so small.
How to block the sun from everyone?
However, half the globe will be able to see a lunar eclipse.
Cos of the same reason.
The moon so small.
How to not block it from the sun?

The lunar eclipse will begin at 12:42am, on 8 September.
That means it will occur on Thursday night, Friday morning.
This will also be the last lunar eclipse of the year.
The eclipse will be at its greatest at 2:51am.
And it will end at 5:00am.

And here's a quick faq which I came up with:

Where can I go to watch a lunar eclipse?
Anywhere. As long as you can see the moon.

I don't want to spend 4 hours of sleep watching the moon. I rather be sleeping.
You could wake up at 2:40am and watch it till 3:00am where the eclipse is at its greatest range.

What's so interesting about watching the moon disappear and reappear again?
The moon will not disappear. In fact, it will take on various shades of yellow, orange and red.
The reason for this is because during a lunar eclipse, the moon is illuminated by sunlight that has been filtered and refracted by the Earth's atmosphere. Since the Earth's atmosphere absorbs blue light(also the reason why the sky is blue), the moon takes on various shades of yellow, orange and red.

How often do eclipses occur?
About 4~5 a year. 2~3 lunar and 2~3 solar eclipses.

Where did my information come from?

I think I am allergic to Dota already!
Umm how did I find out about that..?
Um. Long story. Lol.

Ok la. I went for a quick 1.5 hr match on Bnet.
>_< I shouldn't have.
But someone pointed out that I was degrading.
So I had to find out how bad I degraded.

The game was a bother.
1s delay. And there was so much lag in game.
But I realised my Dota didn't deprove that much.

Got a headache and feeling very terrible after the game.
So I concluded that I am allergic to Dota.
Cannot play already. I need a break.
I think I got a fever or sth now.
Omg. Just because of a Dota game???
Argh! I am being punished for not studying!

AHHHH! Headache!!!

2 hours of Maths.
4 hours of Geog.
I kept myself awake enough to take down notes only.
Didn't absorb anything.

Went for pool after lunch.
I was tempted into going =(

Oh no lah.
I should be studying.
Will be out studying tmr =)
I hope something constructive comes out of it this time.

Met up with Douglas, Joey and Chris today for my 3rd day of mugging.
Heh. It was a total failure for me.
I guess my attention level is inversely proportional to the amount of hours I spend on mugging.

Spent most of the time skiving around.
Aiya! That's a lot of sin points. Must make up for it already.
Did a few questions on Physics. That's all.

Spent some time hanging around at Bishan library.
We all ended the study group after that.
Only Joey and Chris really studied a bit.
Douglas and I was exploring this nice game Chris had on his phone :)

Met up with Ken for dinner.
I ordered a "Teriyaki" burger but the person gave me a "Yakiniku rice burger instead"
I think all she heard was "yaki" and noted down the wrong order.
Lol.

Went for tuition.
Gravitation is still "??????" to me.
Started on Thermal Physics today.
At least I know sth abt dat.
He explained the answer to a familiar question today. And it makes sense.
Why is it that 100°C of steam is much more dangerous than 100°C of water?
I am too lazy to write the answer out though =P
If you don't believe that its more dangerous, try pouring boiling water on your skin, then put ur hand above steam gushing out from a rice cooker or boiler.
In the former, your skin will suffer a 1-degree or 2-degree burn.
In the latter, your skin will peel off instantly.

Something was happening at Junction 8 today.
No idea what happened though.
When I reached J8 after tuition at around 9:40pm, I noticed 2 police vans parked outside the Mrt.
Thought that someone jumped onto the track again. But there was no ambulance, so I ruled that possibility out.
Walked to J8 and immediately I noticed what was going on.
There were red beret commandos armed with rifles covering the exits of J8.
Wah. Suddenly the atmosphere was super tense there.
Either something really happened there or they were just doing a mini patrol and surveillance in J8.
But its super weird to see so many special police units patrolling J8 so late.
Their rifles didn't look like plastic guns to me either =/
They weren't there when I left from there for tuition at 7pm.
Anyway. It doesn't matter much. As long as noone plants a bomb there and blows the place up.
J8 may be boring. But its still a nice place anyway.

Oh yes and I solved the mystery of a sudden rush in my blog hits lately.
I dunno how many people have heard of this liblogarian before, but the blog's at http://ramblinglibrarian.blogspot.com
Apparently this liblogarian(hw do u pronounce this?") was searching technorati to see who was blogging abt Bishan library.
I happened to be mentioned as "This student planned to study at BICL".
Hehs.

Quoted from
http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20060904/ts_afp/australiapeopleirwinwildlife_060904125339:

Photo

"SYDNEY (AFP) - World-famous Australian "crocodile hunter" and television environmentalist Steve Irwin has been killed by a stingray blow to the chest while filming a documentary on the Great Barrier Reef.

The larger-than-life Irwin, 44, known for his fearlessly enthusiastic handling of even the deadliest of wildlife, was killed when a stingray barb punctured his heart during underwater filming off northeastern Australia.

"He came over the top of a stingray and the stingray's barb went up and went into his chest and put a hole into his heart," said the ebullient Irwin's longtime producer John Stainton, who was with him at the time on Monday.

"It's likely that he possibly died instantly when the barb hit him, and I don't think that he ... felt any pain," a tearful Stainton told reporters in the city of Cairns. "He died doing what he loved best."

Police and officials at Irwin's zoo confirmed his death in the freak incident that took place at about 11:00 am (0100 GMT) off the coast of Port Douglas in the northeastern Australian state of Queensland.

Irwin brought to the surface unconscious and underwent cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, Stainton said.

He was evacuated from his research vessel by helicopter but ambulance service officials said he had suffered a puncture wound to the left side of his chest and was pronounced dead on the scene.

Stingrays have several sharp and venomous barbs on their tails that they use to defend themselves when they feel threatened, but Stainton insisted that Irwin had not provoked the creature while filming.

"I have never met a more professional person in my whole life nor a more passionate person in my whole life on wildlife issues," Stainton said of the iconic Irwin, who was making a show about deadly sea dwellers.

But experts stressed that stingrays were not usually vicious and rarely attacked and killed humans, unlike the range of deadly creatures Irwin had confronted in the past.

"You think about all the documentaries we've made and all the dangerous situations that we have been in, you always think 'is this it, is this a day that maybe his demise?'," he said, adding that nothing scared Irwin.

Australian wildlife filmmaker David Ireland said that the stingray's tail was "like a bayonet on a rifle".

"If it hits any vital organs it's as deadly as a bayonet," he said.

Police said Irwin's US-born wife Terri had been informed of his death while hiking in Tasmania. The couple had two children aged eight and three.

The garrulous animal-lover's rallying cry of "crikey" when faced with a crocodile, snake or ferocious-looking spider made him an Australian icon across the world.

His "Crocodile Hunter" show, in which the tousle-haired adventurer appeared in his trademark khaki shorts and shirt, was first broadcast in 1992 and has been shown around the world on the Discovery cable network ever since.

His outspoken persona became so popular that he won a cameo role in a Hollywood movie, "Dr Dolittle 2," starring US comic Eddie Murphy.

Australians mourned the loss of one of their most famous countrymen, with Prime Minister John Howard leading the public outpouring of grief over the death of a man whom he knew well.

"I really do feel Australia has lost a wonderful and colourful son," Howard said. "He took risks, he enjoyed life.

"He brought immense joy to millions of people, particularly to children, and it's just such a terrible loss. He was one of those great quintessential Australian faces that people recognised everywhere," added the grim-looking prime minister after parliament was told of his death.

Ordinary Australians called into their local radio and television stations expressing their shock and sadness at Irwin's passing, while others flocked to the television star's Australia Zoo in Beerwah, on the Sunshine coast of Queensland state, to lay flowers in his memory.

"We just thought he was a good guy for what he did for Australia. He put us on the map, I reckon," said Rod Cameron at the zoo.

Another mourner was more sanguine. "He died doing what he loved, didn't he?" said tourist Glenn Batson.

The son of a plumber who launched his own reptile park, the young Irwin became a crocodile trapper, ridding residential areas of their reptilian threats before eventually taking over his parents' park.

His fearless approach to the animal kingdom however provoked international outrage when he involved his infant son in one of his death-defying antics.

In early 2004, he fed a four-metre (13-foot) crocodile with one hand while clutching his baby son Bob in the other during a show at his Australia Zoo reptile park.

But Irwin was unrepentant when confronted about the incident in an interview. "I will continue to educate my children and the children of the world so they don't go into the water with crocs," he said.

Irwin's voice remained on the answering machine of his zoo on Monday, reminding callers with a whoop: "Remember, they rule," referring to his dangerous documentary subjects."

Took a last minute late night expedition down to Orchard with Ken today.
It was part of his mission.
We went down to Wheelock Place near Orchard.

Image

I realised I have never been to that area of Orchard b4.
Kinda like the glass cone shape of the building.
It reminds me of Da Vinci Code.

We went to eat at Ajisen Ramen at Takashimaya after that.
They got a new menu =d
A few new ramens on the menu now. Anyone interested to go try em all out?
I tried one new one today already =)

My mind's unweaving/ 10:33 PM

It day 2 of mugging.
Totally need a break.
Met up with Douglas and Joey today.
Douglas was 2 hours late.
What the.

We studied till 5:30pm only. All totally burnt out.
5 hours of studying.

I looked up after our studying today and realise that Mac was totally full of pple studying.
Mugger's Paradise. Haha.

We came up with this new interesting system today also.

For 1 hour of studying, we will accumulate 1 reward point.
We can use the points to claim a variety of rewards.
For example, 1 reward point can claim 1 hour of sleep.
However, 1 hour of doing nothing constructive will accumulate 1 sin point.
Sin points will result in deductions of reward points.
The conclusion is: Study, study and study to accumulate more reward points!!!
So you can sleep :)

Accumulate 1000 reward points straight and earn eternal rest today!

Hahahahaha today was such an unpredictable day!
Everything must have been predestined today!

Met up with Joey to study at 10am.
Bishan Library was so amazingly crowded today cos it was the 1st day.
We gave up trying to study there and went to Bishan Mac(the one near interchange) instead.

Douglas smsed me and asked me whether I was interested in studying at Bishan library.
I told him I was studying at Bishan Mac with Joey cos the library was super congested.
He then said he didn't feel like coming cos Bishan was too far away.
Continued studying.

Then Timothy suddenly turned up at Bishan Mac.
He was meeting some of his frens to play Magic cards there.
Hehs.
Douglas came a few moments later though he said he didn't want to come all the way to Bishan.

We studied all the way till 6:30pm.
Yep. 8 hours straight.
Waited for Tim to finish his last game and we all went for dinner.
We didn't go to eat at J8 today.
They wanted to go to eat at Kim San Leng today.
But I suggested going to S-11 instead.
Which was apparently a good choice haha.

We were halfway through our meal when suddenly Douglas said: Isn't that Zheng Kai?
And true indeed! Zkai was walking towards us!
Lol!
Wow. What a coincidence! He was eating at S-11 with his family!
Hahaha.
We finished our meal and decided to go and study at Bishan Library for a while more till closing time.
Zkai joined us. Tim left in a hurry cos he had to go.
Heh. The library closed at 9pm.
We got chased out.

We suddenly decided to stroll around J8 after that for no reason.
Hehs.
Walked around the 4th storey till about 9:40pm.
Den we decided to leave.
We were on the 1st floor saying goodbye when suddenly Zkai exclaimed: Hey! Chris!

I turned around and it was really Chris there at J8 with his family!!!!
LOL!!!!!!!
OMG lol!
Nearly the whole herd met up today without any arrangements!
Lol!

Its so ironic to think how hard we try to arrange for our outings.
Yet we met up today without any arrangements!
Hahahahaha.
Its more than just a coincidence.
I believe its all predestined!!!
=D

To the Herd! Cheers!!!!

Ahahahah I didn't spend today studying!
I should be guilty.
I will study the whole day tommorow.
Tommorow is also the official opening of Bishan Community Library!
I am going down there early to mug tmr =)

Went out for pool today in the afternoon.
Oh my. I should cut down on my activities and divert everything to mugging soon.

Saw a pri sch kid with a handphone while going out today.
Reminds me of how far technology has gone nowadays.
When I was in pri sch, a handphone was a rare item.
But today, not having a handphone is probably a rare scenario.
Haha.

Reconfigured my html code so that the title will be included in the post.

Come down to mug at the library tmr kk?
I will be there!

My mind's unweaving/ 8:03 PM

Today is a fantastic day!
And a super super long one too.
Had activities from 6:30am to 11:30pm.
Hahahaha.

Went to sch super early today.
Yesterday was the last day of sch.
And today was Teacher's Day celebrations!
Aces Day was cancelled(or postponed?) due to the super heavy rain.
The Teacher's Day performance started immediately after assembly.
As usual, we were packed like sardines into the hall.
3 dance items, a band performance, a piano performance, 2 prize-giving ceremonies, and some dedication by ex-AJ students later, the performance ended at about 9:30am.(Did i miss out anything?)

Ah ha. Time to go back to Cat High!
Gathered up with the CHS peeps at the foyer.
We took the 162 bus back.
I must say the ratio of guys:gals on that bus was abt 10:1.
Lol.

And yes we were finally back at that wonderful place called CHS.
The first noticeable item was probably the 2 new silver statues beside the main entrance.(Though I only saw it as I was leaving)
The performance was still going on in CHS.
Cos I heard they still managed to have Aces day despite the rain.
Thus they ended slightly later.

Met up with a lot of teachers =)
Cos its my 1st time going back as a CHS Alumni already.
Wah. Time flies so fast haha.
Chatted with many teachers today.
Miss Saras. Mr Danny Tan. Mr Heng. Mr Tan Ping Hock. Madam Ng. Rao Lao Shi(Rao Rao Rao :P). Long Lao Shi(Long Si Yun). Chen Lao Shi(Chen Jie Jue).
All the wonderful teachers. Ahh too bad some of the teachers had already left the sch.

Barely met anyone from 4-5 today. In fact, noone really did come back except the small group of us. Was looking foward to meeting up with everyone again but I guess I was slightly disappointed. Really hope to see you guys again.

The CH Almuni had hosted a Teacher's Day lunch for all the teachers. So most of us left at around 11am+. The CJ drama concert was at 7:30pm. And there was an 8 hours gap. So I began searching for afternoon plans. Ended up going for pool in town with Joey, Jia Xin and Chris + some choir juniors.
Pool's fun. As always.

We went for lan after that.
Played for about 1.5 hours.
Couldn't finish the game due to a lack of time.
I haven't touched Dota in 2 months!
Argh. I just broke my abstinence from the game.
Must self-reflect liao.

Oh and I started to include the title of my entry today since it doesnt show up anyway.

Labels:

My mind's unweaving/ 12:18 AM

Rushed out of the lan shop quickly and headed back to Dhoby Ghaut Mrt.
Nearly got knocked down by a car on the way.
All thanks to Chris's wonderful stunt -_-
Me, Jia Xin and Chris were heading to CJ for the drama concert.

I thought that bus 156 went to Toa Payoh.
We knew that 156 went to CJ.
So we took an Mrt down to Toa Payoh to find bus 156.
And omg. 156 was from Clementi, not Toa Payoh!
Toa Payoh has 155 and 157. But not 156.
Heng opposite Toa Payoh Mrt got bus to CJ.
And it was only 2 stops away.
Short sia.

Reached there super early.
I phoned my supposed tour guide. And he told me to do my own tour.
Ok lo. At first he tried guiding me along a bit. But somehow the phone connection cut off.
So we ended up stranded on our own.
But as brave adventurers, we stormed on to find our path to the Performing Arts Centre(where the concert was held)
Quite a few shutters for the staircases were closed so it wasn't easy to find our way through.
Went up one storey.
Went down another.
Climbed another staircase.
Turned another corner.
Went up another floor.
Walked down a corridor.
And hey! We found ourselves outside the PAC.
But on the 3rd floor!
We saw the main entrance with a booth set up on the 1st floor.
But the staircases leading downwards had all been locked.
Ha. So no way down then.
We entered the PAC from the third floor.
And immediately got spotted by a teacher.
He told us that we weren't allowed in there.
And wanted to chase us out.
But we explained about how all the staircases were locked.
So he let us go down to the 1st floor via the PAC (through the huge 3-storey auditorium where the performance was being held)

But the teacher went off!
Leaving us there.
So we entered the PAC again.
This time a student spotted us and came to question us.
Explained the situation all over again.
And he led us into the auditorium.
And so he was saying:
"I found some lost sheep here. And I don't know how the heck they got up there in the 1st place!"

Cos we pro wad. Lol.
Security breach in the sch sia.
Saw Tim, Dugie and Roy =))
I just love the way we enter the place.
Wad a grand entrance.

The guy practically threw us out of the place via the 1st floor.
We began another new tour.
... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...
Exploring CJ is fun sia.
We wuldn't have left if we didnt spot the security guard locking up the last few doors and gates.
Didn't want to be locked in. But there was another alternative anyway...
We could just go back to the PAC from the third floor and..

While exploring the sch, we saw a room that had an interesting sign on the door. It said: St Paul's Training Centre (New Furniture Room).
The only conclusion we could come to was that in CJ, they even train up the furniture.
Sounds interesting. We DID meet some of those well-trained furniture later on though.
Went back to the main entrance of the PAC.
Tim told us to go to buy tickets at the entrance.
So we were just standing there when this girl approached us and tried to sell us the tix.
I began chatting randomly lol.
Then Chris mentioned sth abt buying tix at the door.
And the gal said: I am the door!
Wah. The well-trained furniture selling tix sia!
I told her: But you don't look like a door!
And she turned around to another girl and said: Help me tell them that I am the door!
Me(points at the PAC doors): But a door looks something like that! You look nowhere near that!
Gal: I am the door!!!!
Ok. She win liao. We bought the tix.

The auditorium had chairs of cinema quality.
Nice sia. And super comfy. Makes me feel kinda "zi bei"
The performance was great.
A nice story.
And great performers too.
It lasted for abt 1 hr 10min+.
Worth the money.

Tim was Logistics I/C.
Doug was acting as some ah gong.
Roy was the male lead.

Waited an extra hr for Tim and Dugie to get done with their debrief and stuffs so we could all go for supper tgt.
Took a bus down to Orchard for supper.
Sry if I was too insistent today that we all go seperately from the rest of em.
Cos the Herd dun meet up as often nowadays.
If we went with the rest of em, you all will be distracted from the Herd.
You all will see em often in sch. But the Herd haven't had a full gathering for months.

We ate at Mac at some place.
Chatted. Laughed. Joked.
=))

Took a few pics after that.
We took a pic at the auditorium too.
And here's da pic!

Will be uploading the rest when I receive em.
So long then =)
