PS farewell BBQ was on Saturday. I knew it was at East Coast Park, but I wasn't very sure on how big East Coast Park really was. Well, so I took my only known route down to East Coast Park. Bus 13. And after that, I knew how big East Coast Park was. Cos you see.. bus 13 drops me off a short distance away from Area B. The BBQ pit was at Area G. The difference between Area B and Area G is about.. 2 pages. Yep. I did explore the map directory before coming. Area G was only 2 pages away from Area B on the map. I guess I didn't look at the scale. It took me slightly over one hour before I reached Area G. Lols. Now I can tell you everything East Coast Park has between Area B and Area G. Its well.. just two pages you see.
Apparently noone was as crazy as me to come by bus 13. Most of the people took a bus over from Changi Airport. Bus 36. I gotta remember that.
The BBQ was good. Haha. Really had a lot of fun. Gotta thank all the J1s who came together to plan this BBQ. Great effort and thanks lots =) They prepared lots of food. More than we could finish. Haha. So Ronald came up with playing Blackjack to finish the food. The one who loses eats. In the end, he ate the most. Haha. But we did finish quite some food at that game. We played Frisbee at 8pm. Haha. No lights so we had to play on the pavement next to all the lamp posts. It was tiring but fun. But somehow, people kept disappearing during the match. In the end, we had fewer and fewer people so the game ended. It was also Jie Xin's bday. Happy bday Jie Xin! The J1 comm really put in a lot of effort for her bday. A really heartwarming scene. Anyway. Photos will tell most of the story. But I don't have any yet. Will put em up when I do. For now, just visit other PS pple's blogs for the photos. Lol.
Went home kinda late. At 11:22pm though, I was the first to reach home. No idea where everyone went. Dots. And I thought I was late home.

The phone rang. "Hey. Do you want to go catch a movie now?" Looks at clock. Its 8pm. Okayy. Its definitely Zkai on the phone. I called Chris and he said he had a 1/25000000 probability of coming out. 1 in 25 million. But if you read the news yesterday, the same number came out in 4D for 1st and 2nd place. It was said that the probability of this would be 1 in 100 million. So what's 1 in 25 million? And true enough, Chris got permission to go out. And we caught Fantastic 4 at 9:40pm. At AMK Hub.
The show encompassed many different subjects. There was Chemistry-related issues, Geography-related, Physics-related... But, like all superhero shows, the show defied much of Physics laws. Haha. There are much impossible stuffs happening in the show. But hey. Its just a show. It was pretty decent. Neat effects. Would rate it 4 out of 5. I would watch this over Transformers. That one only has a 2 star rating by reviews. Haha.
When I was going home after the show, I walked past the Bishan interchange again. Recalled something I observed long ago. You know, when night time arrives, one would expect the buses to be left and kept at the bus terminals right? I mean, isn't that what bus terminals are for? But the other day, when i passed by at 1am, I noticed that there was not a single bus in the terminal at all. Where do the buses after that? Back to the depot to re-fuel? Probably. Wouldn't that mean there are people spending the whole night just doing maintainence on the buses? Heh. Doesn't seem like a nice job.
By the way, if you read the news today, there was this intriguing headline. Drought-stricken Aussie areas hit by massive floods The irony of climate change nowadays. Wonder what causes it? Global warming? Maybe. The world is going to the dumps. Haha.
Midyears are over. It definitely wasn't that lovely. I just hope I didn't do as badly as I thought. Many people are counting how many subjects they have passed. Maybe, try counting the number of subjects you have failed to pass. Its a whole different perspective.
A long struggle, a quick loss
Indeed. Well. To save everyone the torment of going through how terrible each paper was, let's share some exam... misadventures.
GP The passage talked about some guy who, based on research, found out that the creativity level of some cities were actually proportional to the number of gays in that city.
Question: How would you determine the greatness of a city? Someone answered: Count the number of gays in the city.
Econs The question was about global recession. Question: What should the Singapore government do during global recession? Someone answered: As one country, BOP deficit is another country's BOP surplus, Singapore should run a BOP deficit so that other countries will gain from a BOP surplus. This will help to resolve global recession.
My conclusion: Singapore should give away all her money to help save the rest of the world from possible global recession. Although we are poor, its perfectly ok. Cos we can just have more gays to balance it up. We may be poor, but Singapore is still a great city. Lol.
Physics Question: State Faraday's Law. Someone answered: Faraday's Law states that when Faraday's electron enters a magnetic field, it will go around in circular motion.
Huh!?. Precisely.

This was from the UK talent search show, "Britain's Got Talent". There was this young girl, Connie who took part. She was only 6 years old! But talent is not necessary proportional to size Her voice stunned the judges. It was beautiful. Do check it out.
I tried to resolve the problem of the blog loading in Internet Explorer. But I ain't sure if what I did really helped. In any case, Mozilla Firefox is best compatible. Though I don't use Firefox myself. Haha. Hope the problem's no more.
This post was originally supposed to only have one line: "This is a post" to prove that the blog is still alive. But then. I guess... Here goes:
[---->Reverse time ----> 11th June]
11th June marked the celebration of TX's birthday. The birthday kid had a competition the day before, so the outing was postponed by one day. There were plenty of people that day. Namely the Herd + Howard and JX. Our wonderful journey started off with a wild goose chase led by Chris all the way from Dhoby Ghaut to Clarke Quay, where we walked all the way to a broken down building 2 streets away and back. Then, we returned to Dhoby Ghaut. That was so not fun.
We went over to Junction 8 after a few hours of board games. We were supposed to shop for TX's birthday present on the spot. But I got heavily distracted by JX and Tim. Cos we were intensely discussing the latest frenzy over P2P downloads. Its all over the news lately. They have been busy trying to catch downloaders. But ironically, illegal downloads are what makes the songs and their artists famous.
We got TX a bag from Zinc. I was quite surprised at the cost of the bag. It was much cheaper than what I would expect it to be. TX left shortly after that.
Did we go home? Hmm. Don't think so. Now, where did we go? Oh yes. We went for dinner at S11, before going over to the funfair that opened in Bishan. The prices there are outrageous. Hah. The cheapest ride costs $5 and the most expensive one was $12.50. And the people there obviously didn't study economics very well. The rides were mostly empty, with people being discouraged by the high prices. They should have lowered the prices if they are setting up their funfair in such a neighbourhood. After cracking jokes about almost every single ride, it was the end of the day.
[---->Forward time ----> 15th June]
There was a PS BBQ today organised by the alumni. But none of us and the new batch went =/ I seriously considered going, but after asking around a bit, it wasn't too hard to realise noone was going. Sigh. It really feels quite boring to go alone. So... yep.
[---->Forward time ----> 17th June]
17th June was Canon EOS Day at East Coast Lagoon. I later found out that it was from the 16th to 17th though. If you saw the newspapers lately, Digital Life published a review of a new Canon lens to be exhibited on EOS Day. It was a 1,200mm lens costing as much as a 3-room HDB flat: $150,000 It weighed 16.5kg. Oh my. I was so darn interested in going to check out this lens plus all the other cameras on display.
Finally found someone to go with me. But in the end, I was told that the trip by some of the AJPS people was changed to 4pm to 6pm instead of the original 1pm to 3pm. It was a direct clash with my 5:30pm tuition, while in the latter, I could rush back from East Coast. Zzz. I missed the EOS Day in the end. So sorry for not turning up in the end =/ I didn't want to. But I didn't get a choice.
[---->Forward time ----> 20th June]
The tuition on the Sunday before the exams itself (today) was shifted a few days back to Wednesday on the same week. That's cos the tuition teacher wanted to give us time for final preparations. We were told to go down early if we wanted a breakfast treat =P All along, I thought the tuition was at 10am. So when Zkai asked, I told him that.
Later, the tuition teacher said it was time to go for the lesson. And I thought. 9.29? So early? Its at 9:30 wad. Opps. So I told Zkai. He came at 10:15 anyways XD And that was the end of Wednesday. I believe I spent the rest of the day stoning at home. Lol.
[---->Forward time ----> 22nd June]
There was another study group. In fact, there were many other study groups than this, but this one was prominent. Cos TX was there. The first time you know. Hah.
Ok the study group was just as productive as ever(unproductive). We chatted a lot and did a bit. But that's the fun of everything. Haha. TX said it was a very unproductive study group. But hey. our study groups in the past were even more unproductive. Haha. These, compared to them, are much much better. At least we did something productive you see. The day ended at 9pm at Thomson Plaza. Yes, me and howard and Zkai stayed that long. I have been seeing a lot of Thomson Plaza lately. Burger King makes an ideal spot for studying/mugging.
And I have been seeing quite a few familiar faces there too. Met a friend from NYPS there on Friday. He's currently in NYJC. Haha. I think I knew him cos he was my friend's classmate back then. If I didn't remember wrongly, we used to be on the same schoolbus. That's how I knew him. Yep. I think.
[---->Forward time ----> Present]
The hols are ending today. Its a sudden realisation that all the fun and laughter is over. Argh. Back to school. Haven't seen many people for a month. I have been missing some people. And I am wishing some of them miraculously disappeared over the hols. Hah. But you know. Miracles never happen. I owe the latter homework. See you all in school tomorrow!

Study Group
Location: Ang Mo Kio Subject: Maths Time: 8:30pm
Yep. That was my latest study group(pardon for the pun). Somehow, Zheng Kai managed to convince both me and Chris out to study with him at night. We tried to pull Howard along cos he was coming back to Singapore today. We called him when he was still at Immigrations at Tuas. Lol. He didn't come in the end. Aww. I guess studying wasn't the first priority after coming back from overseas =)
Ok so we stayed at Mcdonalds opposite AMK hub till 12:20am. By then, most of the bus services had halted and the MRT had stopped too. We went to check out the ending times for the bus services at the bus stop. And oh. My last bus was at 12:15am. Chris's was at 11:45pm. Zkai's was at 12:50am. Guess there's 2 of us stranded here in AMK.
I could walk home. Though it would be quite challenging. About 1 hour of night strolling will take me home I guess. Chris could walk home too. But it would be even more challenging. About 3 hours of night strolling and the possibility of getting lost. Still, he will reach home eh? Another possibility was to wait for the bus to come. That is, when the sun is starting to rise. Aka the first bus the next day. Lol. My mom would kill me XD In the end, the 3 of us took a cab back home. The cab driver was playing this catchy music out loud. Wonder what song that was?
And that ended my midnight mugging. There's apparently plans for a stayover mugging experience. I wonder if my parents will approve. Lol.

Extracted from today's Straits Times:
Call 6388-3838 and subscribe for your organ today! You might have to wait longer than 2 years so better get in line early!
Lol. They should have picked a better article for their ads. No offence intended!
Ok. After 3 days I decided to blog about the CJ Drama concert I went to on Friday. Let's see.. met up with Zkai, Chris, Jia Xin & Benedict at J8. Den we took 156 down.
And guess wad? The Drama concert was.. A Midsummer Night's Dream. OMG. Shakespears??? Their language just isn't very trendy you know. It goes like: Thou shall... thy... Basically, language so complicated noone could catch it.
Ok I was lucky. I read this story before so I had no difficulty catching what the actors were trying to portray. But I guess many others in the audience weren't as lucky. Few people ever read Shakespears nowadays.
Actually, Douglas did perform well. But hey. If its Shakespears again, please warn me. I have difficult catching the language.
So we went for supper after that. I reached home at around 2am. Ha. =))
