Went swimming with my sister, Qing at JE complex today. She is really blur man. We chatted last night through MSN... and she told me that she wanted to go gym and after which, we go swimming together. So, we arranged to hit to the JE gym first, then proceed to the pool after our gym workout. In the end, met her today and she tell me that she forgot to wear her running shoes and she was in her flip-flops... so blur right? So in the end, we went to swim only. Amazingly, there are many people at JE swimming complex even though it is a Monday. So many young teenagers... should be having school holidays ba. Qing proceed with her sun-tanning, while i swim in the pool... swim 20 laps in total without stopping. Sigh... this wed onwards, will not be so free liao... so exercise while i can now. This change is considered one of my turning point. Hope that everything will turn out smoothly.

Zodiac Quiz

Tried this zodiac compatibility quiz to see which zodiac sign i'm attracted to. Try it too... it's quite fun. Check out for my result below. After attempting the quiz, the results indicate that i will be attracted to Taurus... not sure how true is it. Hee...

You should be dating a Taurus. 20 April - 20 May. This gentle creature is dependable, artistic, and very calm and patient. Though Taurus has the tendency to be self-indulgent, stubborn or materialistic, this bull naturally enjoys a roll in the hay!

Back from my jog

Right now, it is 1.30am... waiting for my hair to dry before going to bed. I was back from my jog just now and started jogging at 10.30pm... reach back home at 11.30pm... then rest a while before i bath. Some people may think that jogging is a chore but for myself... i like to jog because this activity give me a sense of satisfaction and achievement if you manage to reach from destination A to B within a fixed timing. I always run with my mp3 on with fast tempo music that can motivate myself to run further... plus i sometimes count in multiples of 5 mentally - 5,10,15,20,25 etc... which i feel it can push me to run better without stopping. At times when you run, you feel like stopping to walk instead and the destination seems so far to reach. I motivate myself by telling myself i have run past a tree already, then run past a lamp post.. follow by traffic light... follow by bus stop... and utimately, i will reach the destination that i set target for myself. I'm really happy today because surprisely, i have completed 2 rounds of my neighbourhood estate without stopping which I normally can complete 1 round. Plus... I manage to climb up the stairs without stopping to the highest storey of my block after my run.... which is the 30th storey! I definately run more than 2.4km but sigh... I dunno the exact distance that i ran. Anyway, juz want to tone up my calfs and my butt. Hehe...
Exercise can prompt your body to release endophrins hormones which can lower your stress level, make you happier and resulting in better sleep. Benefits of running are too many to count. Running burns more calories per minute than any other form of exercise. Running regularly also has been proven to help fight the aging process. It also can prevents bone loss that occur with age. Running also reduces the risk of stroke and breast cancer and plus it increases good cholesterol, reduces the risk of blood clots, and encourages use of the 50% of your lungs that usually unused. Running also boost the immune system by creating a higher concentration of white blood cells. So these are more reasons for you to run :)

Mother's day

ImageThe month of may, 2nd week of the sunday is mother's day. This morning, brought my mum to the nearby BP plaza, Pick and Bite to have 'Dian Xin'... gave my mum a treat. I ordered shanghai xiao long baos, crystal chives dumplings, siew mai, prawn dumplings and 2 bowls of century egg and lean meat congee. My mum is a coffee addict so i ordered a brewing hot coffee for her too. For me, I don't drink coffee at all because tannic acid found in coffee and tea will stain the teeth. So, ya... i'm scared that my teeth will become stained. Anyway after breakfast, walk around CD Rama and realised that the band, Linkin Park is releasing their new album titled 'Minutes to Midnight' tomorrow. If you want to purchase their album, still need to pre-order first. I've seen and heard their single ' What I've Done' music video...it's really nice and i enjoy their music. The band spent over 14 months in the studio and wrote more than 101 song demos in the making of this new album. This album is seen as a breakthrough in the development of the band's sound. And also this is the first time that all the six band members are in the cover of the album unlike their previous ones. So, try to listen to Linkin Park's new album.

Tidying up my bedroom

I spent almost half a day to clear and tidy up my bedroom... thrown away lots of unwanted things and old study notes which have been piling up my desk since ages. Keep sneezing throughout non-stop because my room is full of dust.... and finally after a hard day's work, my bedroom is spick and span. Feels really good once everything are kept spotlessly neat and clean. During the cleaning up, found some stuff.... Here's goes:

Image

Found lots of negatives... i also don't know why there are so many of them. Kept them because donkey years ago, i'm still using those old type of camera which has to develop the photos one by one, then placing all of the photos into a photo album...

Image

Found my bulky old camera and my philips discman... haha... used this discman since my secondary school days to listen to the back then latest pop hits. The camera brought me back quite a number of old memories which i used to take photos during teachers' day, celebrating my close friends' birthdays.... Did you notice something? Both of them are black in colour... black must be in the 'in' colour back then... not like nowadays, which we seldom see black colour anymore because i personally feel that black colour is a 'tu' colour... pink, baby blue, red, white and sliver colours are in the current trend now.

Image

Ahh... found back some of my old cds... Westlife, Pet shop boys, Beyond, William Su.... these are some of the mixture of english and chinese pop songs that i used to listen in my sec school days. I remember vividly that i really like the boyband westlife back then.... Anyway, played the cds just now and they are working fine...yippie!

Lastly, my secondary school tropies and medals... these are all from running categories. Used to be a good runner... particularly in long distance run. In total, there are 9 tropies and 3 medals. I remember that there was one more trophy which is not in the above picture because the trophy was made of some lousy quality and broke while i was moving house, so i threw it away... that thrown away trophy was 2nd place in 800m annual sports meet when i was in lower sec one (1996). Out of the 9 tropies in the picture, 5 of them are in the 2nd place... 2nd in annual cross country race, 2nd in annual sports meet for 800m and 1500m. So most of the time, i always achieved the 2nd place...hehe. Most of the tropies are gotten during lower sec 2 (1997) and upper sec 3 (1998). The remaining tropies are from running too, representing my CCA (Band) and inter-class champions. The 3 medals were achieved during upper sec 4 (1999) particularly for the cross country event and passing the baton category (4x100m) and (4x400m) which involves teamwork. I didn't participate much events during sec 4 because that time, i was so dead tired from running competitions... so i just participate in the baton category only. But now if i run, my timing, my stamina and my speed is not able to be compared to the past.... haha

Exercise... Exercise

Hello guys, I'm back.... so tired, just went swimming with my friend J in the morning at CCK swimming complex. It's good to swim in this damn hot weather. In total, i swam about 12 laps non stop without resting... that's really good for a start. Nowadays been into exercising.... That time, i was so stressed up with my exams and studies that i went jogging a couple of times around my neighbourhood estate and climbed up the stairs back to my 14th storey.... also went to play badminton with my friend J and my sisters previously. It's good to maintain a healthy routine and lifestyle. I'm already begining to get used to this routine... that's explains why i lost so much weight...haha... exam stress plus exercise are both good ways to shed extra fats. Hopely i will be able keep up to this routine and exercise at least twice a week, be it jogging, swimming or badminton.

My virgin post

Hello guys, this is my first time that i'm creating my virgin blog. Hopely will be able to update oftenly and share my stuff to your guys. Yesterday, i went a trip down to Health Sciences Authority (HSA) at Outram. Been wanting to donate my blood to the blood bank since ages ever since my poly school days. Previously, i do not have the chance to do this good deed before due to my hectic schedule. But since i have completed my exams recently, i went down with high anticipation that my blood will be able to help others in need. Nope...nope, i'm not scared of needles, blood or pain with the thought of helping others in my mind. On my way there, i concidently met Sujing and her mother at Outram MRT. She was there on a check up with her mum because she drank too much liquor the night before till she vomit blood. Aiyo... Sujing, please take care of yourself alright and treasure your health. Health is very precious and too much hard liquor will damage your body organs especially the liver. Okie, later i reached my destination and filled up the application form. Was quite surprised to see several people in the queue of wanting to donate blood. That's really good... Later someone called my name and i proceed to a small room and was expected to weigh myself. But, I was only 44kg which that guy told me that i must be a minimum of 45kg which i can donate blood. I was like so disappointed to be rejected and i also didn't know i lost so much weight. The last time, i was around 48kg. Sigh... what to do... that guy says for my health reasons, I can't donate blood till I reach a healthy weight. He says that from 45kg till 50kg, 300ml of blood will be donated and above 50kg, 450ml of blood to be donated. That's all... Haha.. wait till i gain one more kilo, then i go down to HSA again to donate my blood... Hee....
