a DVD worth buying?

well, i bought it already.

thats all i can say.

i'm not sure whether to give a good or bad rating for this movie.

its quite the typical chickflick.... the dance scenes are good but of course, not like Step Up and Step Up 2 and other known dance movies. i like the plot and i love Selena Gomez. but it was pretty obvious that it wasn't her doing the tough dance moves. maybe that was the dissapointment for me i guess? :(

unofficially watched this movie twice already.
coz if i watched it once, i'll be coming up with alot of lame, ChandlerBing-like jokes and puns that only i will get.

i am so blown away by this movie.

and don't misintepret the plot; this movie is no high school musical

mainly because of the way the music speaks, and the way the guy and the girl actually come together in the story. it's independent, low budget and really, well... simple. there's really no super plot twists or complicating behaviours in the actors. and can you believe that it was their first time nominated in the recent Oscars for Best Original Song, and they took the statue home?

it won over the three main songs from Enchanted; 1)So Close, 2)Happy Working Song and 3)Thats How You Know. haaa; in your face, Disney. xD

and the guy and girl Glen Hansard; lead singer of Irish band, The Frames and Marketa Irglova in the movie actually wrote the song together in real life. note; i don't think they actually even knew each other before the production of the movie. so it truly its one of those moments in life that happens once. :)

because humans make mistakes.

so here is the deal.


i accidentally, and almost non-purposely at all damaged the function of my friend's car door window. i sorta... slammed the door a little too hard and now, the window is not functioning. and the cost of repairing it is not close to cheap :S i apologized. but somehow, apology to me doesn't seem enough.


see, the person who owns this car is someone that i coincidentally, screwed up a few days ago as well. later on that day, i had no transport home and i just jumped into his car while he was driving off, like a fool. and he then explained that he was in a real hurry and couldn't fetch me home.

so i told him to drop me off at a taxi stand.

i can go home from there.

biasa la.

then he starts apologizing non stop of how he can't drive me home like how he usually does. and yet somehow, apology to him doesn't seem enough. and says that he owes me for the whole situation that he caused.


it really wasn't a big deal to me la,
that i had to go home with a taxi.
tho the taxi driver gave me THE CREEPS. eek!

the first session that focused on Personality and How To Handle Inner Conflicts done by their TeenChurch Leader, Nick Coombs. it provided me a handful of answers to many questions that i kept in my mind for so long, that i actually forgot about them.

if someone had said something bad about you and it managed to bring you down, if someone had done something to you and it hurt your feelings, if they all made you doubt the person you are that God has created....

i couldn't help but cry.
it was such an emotional moment not only for me but i could hear bawling and sniffing of many other people in the room; boys and girls. the vibe that filled the hall was so melancholic and it made me realize something very important.

i was never alone.

its frustrating because people always tell me to 'chill' and 'relax' a lil bit and not take things too seriously... but maybe... just maybe... its not me who takes things too seriously. maybe its those certain people who don't take things seriously. in my opinion, labelling people, being mean to people, and calling people names is never and has never been something funny. and apparently, alot of the people in the hall share the same opinion with me as well.

even boys go through the same problem.


because underneath it all, not all of us are that strong. not all of us have the ability to ignore harsh and mean words. not all of us can stand on our own two feet. at least, not yet.


speaking as a teenager, all of us youths should really, really just try.. being nice to one another. and by nice, i mean just trying to look at the positive side of people. don't make fun or talk of people's flaws, just accept them. call ourselves the changed generation for what? lets really mean what we say. the world could do better without the gossiping, bitching, backstabbing and all that immature stuff. :]

the session was done by the youth pastor, Pastor Jesse. during the workshop session, a few of us got to share about the ups and downs of friendship and how friends are the number one influence in an average person's life.

because i care alot about people's opinions towards me a good and bad character, i decide to just keep my certain opinions and thoughts to myself and people who really really really know and understand the type of person that i am. i am a little weird and i am a little complicated, but that doesn't make me a little less human. so please treat me like one because believe it or not, you don't realize that each and everyone of us are just the same.

lately, i've also been thinking about a friend that i have once casted out from my life.

maybe its because i realize that as we grow, we tend to break away from things that we let to hold us back. like a butterfly coming out of a cocoon :) cheesy to say, but as we age, we mature and learn from the everyday emotions that we encounter and dilemmas as well as questions of life.

that day when i talked to her again,

it felt as if every grudge i had against her just slipped away.

and i no longer had to hold back.

i think i can finally accept the fact that she's just.... different. i wish i could apologize to her about all the bad things that i have once said about her out of anger. and ask her if she could forgive my previous silly actions. sadly, i am a woman of no balls pun intended so i just kept the sorry to myself.

i didn't say that we were going to be close again.

but i will enjoy the company that we share.

because after all, she's still a person.

move on, learn, laugh. :D

thats one chapter successfully finished.

now i'm just wondering how i'm going to end this much more complicated other chapter that i've been dead-minded with for the past two years.

i know there will be tears

yesterday i went fishing!

at the sewage pond near my house! xD

with these three faggots. i don't know what the heck Nicolas was doing besides holding the rod.

despite the rain-then-sunny-then-rain-again-then-sunny weather, it was hella fun. it was a first time for everyone of us so of course, to just fix the rod took at least an hour. i cannot say much la coz i didn't help at all xD then we didn't know the proper way of actually flinging the bait into the water, so that was also a problem. Naveen broke a float and tangled up the strings a few times, and a lot of our bait which comprised of LIVE fish, fyi swam away.

the process of putting the bait which is actually live guppy fish! onto the hook was....

disgusting.

imagine holding the cold little creature on your right hand and a sharp hook on your left hand and just slowly piercing the poor thing into the hook BY its mouth, watching its eyes bulge out and veins almost burst.

i, did none of that lah.

i was just there as a spectator lol

HOWEVER,

we did catch TWO FISHIES!

well really, Nicolas was the one who caught them both; but still xD

i recently started watching it on StarWorld but never followed the show properly. i think its Chandler on the far left; played by the very cute Matthew Perry :D whom i liked a lot that made me make sure i catch it everyday from 8-9p.m. and now, if i miss an episode, i go gabonkers eventhough the episodes are always available online

i am also a Mondler addict ( Monica&Chandler ). :DD

and i can never get enough of the love between the pretty perfectionist and the sarcastic sapfest. teehee

they're in their fourties now and not as panas as they were a decade ago. but i do remember watching a glimpse of it on tv when i was a kid and i had no idea what the heck the show was about lol
