Ohiopyle, PA

We went camping in a small town called Ohiopyle.  It was stunning.  If it wasn't so pretty then I'm pretty sure we wouldn't have stayed the night.
We stayed up late and ate treats around the fire (well, until about 9:30 which feels like 1:30am).

We went hiking in the morning around the trails.  I took tons of "nature pictures" but I just looked at them and was like, "Why'd I take so many pictures of that rock on the path?

Anyway, fun times.  I would like to go again.  Maybe not with a 1 year old.  Maybe not during that time of the month either.

Niagara Falls

We're back!  Well, not really.  I mean, like, don't PLAN on me keeping all of you informed ALL the time, but I mean to be better than I have been.  I think.  I hope.

Okay, back to the title!  Can you guess where we went?  If you guessed any where but Niagara Falls you're WRONG (and probably really embarrassed with yourself).

Over our 10 year wedding anniversary we packed the offspring up and headed to NF (I'm getting a little sick of spelling it).  It's only 4 hours from Pittsburgh, oddly enough, MOST everything is under 6 hour car travel time to get to (i.e. New York, Philadelphia, NF, Ohio, Washington DC, Blah, blah, blah).

It was a blast.  We went to Bridal Veil Falls (Cave of the Winds) first and got to walk around Hurricane deck.  It feels just like a mini hurricane down below the falls (hence the name *wink*).  We got to see/hear what 75,000 gallons per SECOND sounds like from below.  It's loud, windy and very wet.

On another note-Indian food.  Did you know that when Indians come to America to visit it's like, a MUST to see the Falls, thus you'll find 1,231,694.45 Indian restaurants.  No joke.  Maybe a slight exaggeration, but honestly, you'd be hard pressed to find a burger or pizza joint in that town.

Lastly, the Indian people.  I. Love. Them.  Especially this older gentleman (and his entire family) sat down next to me on the bench.  I mean, RIGHT next to me.  Thigh touching thigh close.  I made Mac take a picture when he put his arm around me, but the guy spooked and got up and switched places with family?

As soon as the camera pointed his way...he was outta there!!  I tried to lean into him...
And lastly, we were fortunate enough to have been present for the Blues Festival!  It was great.  Especially the fried dough.  The kids played in the fountains and Mac and I relaxed and listened to the music.  What a great anniversary.

No, they're were not in trouble

Baba Dil!!  She's almost walking, but man, people were stopping to take her picture when she got wet.  I guess letting your one year old play in the fountains is amusing.

Part II

Image
We just found out that we'll be moving to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania!  Now to clarify-This was Mac's TOP CHOICE.  He almost didn't apply to this program because it is so prestigious.  So don't be sad for us, be happy!!  We are!!  We'll be moving end of June or early July.
Anyone up for an NFL game?

Christmas is coming the goose is getting obese...Part I

Merry Christmas to one and all!!!  How have you been?  We're good.  We have gotten very little done, so we're kind of proud of that...
Okay, so we went to Coronado for Thanksgiving.  It was awesome.  The family rented us an apartment just for us (I don't think they know what to do with the chaos that is us).  Anywho, the view was incredible.  We went to the beach everyday and ate at one candy shop every night.  They now have a movie theater and tons of boutiques on the peninsula since my last visit 4 years ago.
Everyone was amazing.  Noah and Wills were smitten with the aunts, uncles and cousins!  Martha made some amazing dinners too.

Image
Tough view, eh?  Yeah, this was the view from every room of the place.

Happy Halloweener and stuff...

Okay, so the kids did the trick or treat deal last night.  Since then I have spent approximately 24 hours in and out of a sugar coma.  Thanks boys.

Noah was a TMNT, but he didn't like wearing the mask or the shell...so he was more like a turtle with muscles...mutant turtle.
Wills was a monkey.  He loved it!  He doesn't speak but it was amazing how fast he got the whole hold up your bag and smile thing down.
Tily was a banana, but I didn't take her out.  She was sleeping.  I also didn't get a picture of her.  SORRY.  Just imagine a really cute baby in a banana suit.
Mac was...RAW SEX APPEAL.
When I picked Noah up from school the day after Halloween he started talking about what houses he was going to that night.  I had to explain to him that it's only 1 night...and then he started crying...and crying...and crying.  In the midst of his melt down he wailed, "Why did Jesus have to make it only one day!!".

We had Matilda June's baby blessing too.  I also don't have any pictures of that documented, but the Poulton's do!!  Hooray for planning!!  Also, the Poulton's came to KS!  If you didn't get that first.  Zeke and Tiny (that would be Henry) came along.  I miss my family.  It was amazing to see them form a circle around our newest addition.  I'm grateful for their faithfulness and willingness to participate.
I also have a random pregnancy picture.  The only one I have with my little girl so I posted in hopes that one day I will make this into a cheesy coffee table book for all of our person to "ooohhhh" and "ahhhhh" over.
