Things I just can't figure out!

1. WHY DOESN'T WAL-MART HAVE MORE CASHIER LINES OPEN???????
Seriously...it is the holidays for heck sakes...didn't they see their commercial where the said the were opening more lines to make our lives easier? They even smiled and did a little light show!!!!

2. IF A SIGN HANGING ON THE WINDOW OF A STORE SAYS..."SAVE 60% STOREWIDE ON THE THINGS YOU SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN FOR CHRISTMAS..." SAY IN TINY WORDS AT THE BOTTOM...ON SELECT ITEMS ONLY...
This one is tricky ...IT IS NOT STORE WIDE....if it is only certain items you choose.. also if the item is a Christmas theme IT SHOULD BE ON SALE.. not regular price.. I CAN'T WEAR IT TILL NEXT YEAR!!!!

3. WHY MUST MEN WATCH SPORTS ALL DAY LONG!! AND THEN TALK TO THE PLAYERS, OFFICIALS AND COACHES LIKE THEY CAN HEAR THEM....
cheering does you and the team no good if you are not actually at the game so there is a small chance that they might here your tiny voice, sitting blending in with the rest of the crazed fans who probably sit at home and yell at their TV!!!!

4. WHY ARE PEOPLE SO GROUCHY! IS YOUR LIFE REALLY THAT BAD! SMILE FOR HEAVEN SAKES! IT ISN'T THAT BAD.. I BET SOMEONE'S LIFE IS WORSE...
this is something that I have just noticed recently... people seem so grouchy..what happened to you make what you want of your day! Ok that is what I say to my students but really it is!

5. THIS ONE MAY COME AS A SHOCKER.. BUT WHY IS EVERYONE A HORRIBLE DRIVER BUT YOU!
This is so true. You are the best driver there is! Everyone else is horrible and doesn't know how to drive correctly! You should be a driver's ed instructor you are so good!

6.WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE...????
Maybe I live in the wrong part of the country but I think that customer service has gone downhill lately. I mean that is what I do for a living!

These are just a few things that I can't figure out.. when I think of a few more I will let you know.. so don't worry... if you feel like you have a few things to add PLEASE DO!!!!

Just a few pics!

So here are a couple picture... My mom and I were watching the girls for the day and this is one of the things we did to entertain for ten minutes.. Kids move on so quickly... however picture taking is one thing that will last a while, as long as you let them see the pictures after each photo shot! It was a lot of fun.. I miss being close to the girls and Josh so much!!!

Surprise!

This Christmas we thought we would miss Lindsey and Matt, Christy and Josh... Well it turned out we didn't .. we just missed Lindsey. Matt and the Fam decided to surprise us with a visit. It was so nice. I have never seen my dad and mom so excited.. I mean Dad almost fell out of his chair and mom well she is a cryer! It was so so nice to see them and so great of them to make the trip in the snow and bad weather to be with everyone! Thanks Guys!!!!

Fun in the snow

I am not one to get out and play in the snow we all know I despise skiing and hate the cold! That is one reason I moved to Az.. lets be honest here. So I went mom and pops house and had to enjoy the snow a little and how can you say no to the two cutest things on the planet when they ask you to come out and make snow angels and build a snowman with gravel eyes and a carrot nose! Seriously.. I couldn't say NO!!! Here is our beautiful finished product!

Ok the title YEAH A JOKE... this was like the millionth deer that I have seen in my life in Colorado but this puppy was pretty big so ERIC had to turn the car around about five miles from our destination and take a picture of this guy...

Trip to Colorado...

This year we went to my parents house for Christmas! It was really fun.. A long drive but worth it~ I'm not so sure the Kitty's would agree since they had to come with us and stay in the shed behind the house with a couple of heat lamps. My mom is not fond animals as most of us know... don't worry the kitty's were fine.. It snowed the whole time we were there almost.. the last day we woke up and it was 5degrees! YEAH... now that is why I like AZ... no weather that makes your nose freeze together. First we will see how much Kali and Maggie enjoyed the trip.. Kali I don't think saw 95 percent of the drive... because she was SLEEPING...in very funny positions.. here are a few.. and MAGGIE was less amused by the trip...

Christmas early....

Eric's Mom and sister Tammy and Evan came to visit us... so we opened a little Christmas early.. I got a cute ring from Kay's and Eric of course got a stocking stuffer of PEZ.. it was pretty funny! I don't have a picture to document that exciting moment but it was sure funny since he thought it was something good! But Evan got a cute Nike Outfit~ Here we are on the couch~

This is just too cute! I had to put it on the blog. Evan came to visit us last weekend with his mom and grandma..I had an extra Santa hat (long story...but I bought the child size and wondered why my head was so big!!!) SO I let Evan have it.. he makes such a cute Santa bear!

Since we don't have kids... AND WON'T FOR A LONG TIME!!!!! I have nothing else but my kitties! They had a trip to the Vet yesterday and this is the first time either of them have voluntarily climbed in their carrier and the first time they have been within 2 feet of each other unless one is annoying and tormenting the other! SO.. I had to take a picture.. Apparently the vet is a bonding place for kittens... they also hate it because of the temperature check!!!! (you don't need details I promise!) So here they are my two little kids!

Yes it is true.....I am a sucker!

HOW CAN I SAY NO TO THIS FACE!!! Well it was an interesting weekend... full of shopping and getting decorations out... stuffing my face.... and it didn't end there let me tell you! I went to work on Monday morning like always... it is late start on Mondays which means we have to be at school by 8:15 but the kids don't have to be there until 10am when the bell rings for first! SOOO......I get through my first hour class just fine... and then on to second which is my planning hour.. guess how much planning I got done! A big fat ZERO!!! Why because we got an email sent out to all the teachers saying that this little kitty followed a fellow teacher into her classroom and she was very lovable and very cute... and she hated to see it go to the pound! So if we were interested and wanted to see her she was in her room.. SO... immediately I went to Eric and told him about it! He said go look at her and send me a picture.. I go to the room and oh my goodness... I couldn't resist ... I felt so bad for her. She was so dirty.. and very very skinny... I could feel every single bone in her poor little body. We don't now how long she was out alone and I am guessing she wouldn't have made it if we didn't take her in. I got this gene called "you are a sucker for small animals and big animals and anything that resembles an animal" syndrome from my FATHER!!!! My mom not so much.. she is not an animal lover... however my dad..passed his gene on to me which I love. My two little kitties make me laugh. They are slowly getting use to each other and Kali(new kitty) is getting stronger and is now playing with strings and sponge balls....Something that she didn't do before! Yes.. can you imagine what I would be like if I had KIDS!!! Yikes... you just heard way more about my Cats than you needed to know!

BLACK FRIDAY!!!

Yes... it was my first ever time shopping on Black Friday. For most of you this is nothing new. I however, am used to being in the MIDDLE OF NOWHERE....Colorado for this FINE FINE day and this year I got to SHOP!!! for a total of 45 min. I was looking all week for the ads, bought the paper and checked them out even though I knew what I was looking for. I spent all my planning period looking...searching for the best deal.. and I was actually looking for a deal that I had seen on a Sears commercial about a washer/dryer pair for 600$ yeah you read right.. I didn't believe it until I drove my sweet little bum down there and asked the sales man myself....He said yes this is true and yes you can get it on Friday from 5am-noon....SO my thinking was yeah freakin right dude...you tell me that then they will sell out and I will be ticked because I still have to go to the stupid laundry mat at Camelot Apartments because you lied! (that was mean of me) SO instead of takin his word for it.. I stayed up all night... unintentionally by all means... because I was worried I would not get up to get this amazing deal. SO.. I laid on the couch all night watching "Plastic Surgery: Before and After" (boy did I see some interesting things) Ok back to story.. 4am my alarm goes off... why not sure I was up! so I got up put on jeans a jacket and my flip flops and of course a hat and headed out to sears to get my W/D. I get there and there are like 150 people in line! I hop in line and soon after there are many many more... I wait 20 minutes and the doors open and we all flood in the mighty store and I get my little self to the Appliances and get in line....LO AND BEHOLD I happened to be 4th in line, behind the old couple who just moved here apparently who didn't know their zip code, mailing address or phone number!!!!! Whatever.. I was 4th in line...I'm guaranteed my washer and basically a free dryer! So.....I get up to the register mind you SO SO SO EXCITED.....and gave him my card... said deliver manana and out the door I went...home... to sleep.. however my excitement wouldn't let me... I laid awake for two hours.. but I got my W/D ADIOS TO MY LAUNDRY MAT DAYS!!!!!!

Merry Christmas to the Evans'

Ok....I know.. after I stayed up all night to get this grand deal on a washer dryer...Eric and I decided to venture out later in the afternoon for a few odds and ends. We were at Target and then Eric wanted to go to Walmart of all places... WHY because he has been drooling for a t.v. for months..I mean really we have two perfectly good working tv's but NOT A FLAT SCREEN!!!! SO we went to get you know the staples... Coke, popcorn tin with cute puppies on them, lunch meat, and soap. SO we went looking at the TV's "just to see" like we haven't seen one before.. however we went and found this TV for a steal! So thanks to Eric's parents and the Gaming Commission of Arizona we had an early Christmas present! Boy is it NICE! I must admit! I get to watch Greys in HD and Desperate Housewives and Brothers and Sisters in HD... SO I can't complain and neither can Eric... He has his TV and that is all that he needs for a WHILE!!!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Well yes I know it is a little late but I have been one busy girl! We stayed here in Yuma for Thanksgiving and it was nice. Not traveling.. however we did miss family and the yummy food that is homemade... however we had dinner at our famous first date restaurant "Hunters Steakhouse." we had the classic Turkey Dinner and pumpkin pie which we ate the next day. I was very upset they didn't serve CANDIED YAMS with my dinner! I LOVE THEM... It must be the perfect thing! Ok... back to Thanksgiving... I got up late... showered late and ate then came home and watched tv...isn't that what your suppose to do?

So the day of Thanksgiving I got out all my Christmas Decorations and got to decorating. I went out the day before and did a little shopping for some things that I saw at Michaels. Eric gave me a limit of 50$ well we all know that I went over that just a little! I mean really....I just couldn't resist. I found the cutest stuff so I HAD TO BUY IT! SO I got my little Christmas tree out since we don't have room for much more... and found that the stupid stand was missing! What the crap! So of course I improvised! I got one of my pots that USED to have a plant in it and put my tree in there and HOT GLUED IT IN. Then covered it up with fake snow! Man I'm good! SO... any who I listened Christmas Music and decorated away! So enjoy! Oh Yeah I posted my two cutie pies!!! My cat thinks she is spider man!

Twilight is finally here...

Yes... this I know I am a huge nerd and I read the teenage best sellers! Why... because it makes you feel as though you are back in HS.. and have a crush on the cutest boy who goes to your school. So as you could imagine my excitement when the movie finally comes out. I was getting mixed reviews about it from the critics right. SO on my way to work I was listening to the Bob and Sheri show on the radio ... hilarious.....I'll tell you about them maybe some other time...anywho... the guy was giving his review about the movie. He gave it an icy cold 12 pack! Which means it it good right... he says it is good for those who are female and into the books... so I get to school and am really really excited about going .... and all my students say that it is SOLD OUT! What.... are we serious.. I have students who have been reading them and they come to school so tired because they stayed up all night reading!!! WHAT... kids reading... and all night! Ok back to the movie... sorry I got a little excited!

I am going to give my review right now.... first.. do not go with to many expectations of it. IF you know the book you know how addicting and descriptive it can be. Well the movie was filmed from Bella's Perspective.. a little different.. however the characters follow the book very very well.. I think the casting was done very well.. especially James....He is so creepy!!! Just like the book! And of course Edward is so Dreamy.... You will be on the edge of your seat at points when you know that something is happening like the baseball game and the fight at the Dance studio! Sorry if you have not read them.. i didn't ruin anything!!!! So if you read that books the movie follows pretty well... and is worth seeing! So enjoy and let me know what you think!

I am a huge fan of wrapping paper. I get a little crazy when it comes to the presents. I usually try to get the kids you know kiddy paper like princesses and trucks then find cool ribbon and stuff to put on it to decorate it... It has to look cute under the tree. Every year I have a theme with my wrapping...Like gold with red or brown with Raffia you know...I love to wrap!!!

2. Real tree or Artificial?
Ok so I love the smell of that real tree... however when there is no snow and no trees where I live other than sand trees...I think I will go artificial... hunting for the tree is half the fun!

3. When do you put up the tree?
Ok..so usually I put of my little tree in just after Thanksgiving. I have a little tradition. I like to get all my stuff out and start decorating listening to the Mariah Carey Christmas especially "All I want for Christmas is You!" My favorite.

4. When do you take the tree down?
Well....sometime after New Years! Before Valentines!

5. Do you like eggnog?
I'm not sure who invented this drink but I wish they never would have! It is discusting! IT'S SO THICK!!! I am gagging as I think of it!

Oh jeez...I think it is when I got a pair of ice skates.

My parents! They seem to have everything! Maybe it is just I think they have everything.

National Lampoons Anyone?

Ok so who would have thought that someone really drove the National Lampoons Mobile around in all seriousness! I mean really didn't this guy watch the MOVIE! I know I did! I happen to be years younger than the individual driving it! There are a few things I would like you to notice on the Rig....1. The GENERATOR.....strapped on the back with the bungie cords... really you couldn't find anything better to strap that bad boy down with??? Mind you it is running the entire time this thing sat in the parking lot at best buy! What is this guy buying a 65' flat screen... IT WONT FIT IN THE DOOR PAL!!!! Next number 2. The electrical wire that is coming out of the vent to attach to the generator... are we serious.. this thing has AC???? NOW I know you can't see it but just imagine for a moment. Number 3. The entire left side of this RIG is covered in PLY WOOD! OK now I don't know much about cars, RV's and what have you however I do know that it is most likely NOT a good idea to cover half or all of you piece a junk in ply wood then hook a ridiculous generator on the back... Does anyone see a death trap here? Ok for the part you need to imagine...You see the left side.. however the right isn't completely done with the reconstruction it is a normal RV. Siding... barf green and cream! SERIOUSLY who does this!!!!

WHO SAID THE 80's WERE NOT COOL!!!

Ok so this is my costume... spur of the moment but most likely the best costume I have had! Besides Cinderella one year! SO....as you can see I had a wicked Forienger shirt on straight from a concert in Darien Lake courtesy of my Hubby! (yeah he lives for the 80's) I tied the sides cute the shoulders out... and lets not forget the WICKED awesome makeup.. But the best part about my outfit is MY HAIR... courtesy of my friend Marcia she still has a CRIMPER and I crimped my entire head and finished the style off with a half pony and a head band! DOOOOOO NOOOOTTTT BE JEALOUS!!!! I am one awesome 80's chick!

This is my TA who well I don't actually know what this costume is but it was cute!

So here is the best costume I have seen in a while! This was worn by one of my students. She came in the locker room and asked if she had to change! I SAID NO! Her costume was awesome... this thing has a built in FAN to keep her blown up! CREATIVE!!!

This is my neighbors porch. I am pretty sure it is really cool and would have scared the crap out of me as a kid trick or treating! The only thing that gets me is they spent all this time and effort into decorating their porch but in my opinion it was a little late! It wasn't decorated the morning of the 30th and when I came home from my Volleyball game that night this is what they had done for just one day! Now it's NOVEMBER and they have to take all of it down!(unless they keep it up till the day before Christmas!

EVAN IS FINALLY HERE!

Last weekend our little baby Evan arrived. (not ours..but Tammy and Dougs) Tammy is Eric's sister. She was a week overdue the poor thing! I felt so bad for her.. Not that I know what it feels like to be a week overdue but I bet it is rather annoying!!! So I don't have all the specs down completely on the cutie pie we call Evan but I do know that he was born SUPER EARLY in the morning like 3am he was a touch over 8lbs and he was really long I do remember that. But I can tell you and you can see for yourself he is as cute as a bug in a rug! It amazes me to this day how a little person can grow inside of us for 9 month cause you all this pain and you some how forget about it and have more~!(that has to be how it is because people keep having them!)

Evan loves me!

Well not as much as his mommy, daddy and grandma but he still thought I was pretty cool! As you could imagine! WHO DOESN'T!!!!! and who doesn't sleep with there mouth open if you don't like someone!

Trip to NY

Ok so I haven't had time to update the blog for FOREVER and I should really have kept track of the miles that we have traveled in the last two months but I was way to busy for that. Eric and I went to NY again Sept 24 for Toyna(Eric's sister) and Marks Wedding. Can I just tell you how glad I was that it wasn't mine! I was so done with the stress and the planning that I was glad to be traveling to someone else's wedding. It was simply beautiful. I wish I had pictures of Lake Ontario but I was in charge of Tonya's camera so mine got neglected. Everything for the wedding was perfect. The weather ended up being beautiful and Tonya was gorgeous. (MARK LOOKED GOOD TOO!)So anyway....here is a picture of the HAPPY COUPLE coming out of the Church!

Of course Eric is obsessed with the Buffalo Bills. Which brings me to our latest to trip to Phoenix. Eric's sisters hair girl Karen is a sweetheart and got us tickets to the game since her Hubby works for the team. We didn't have the best of seats but it was fun anyway! I'm sure you already know that the Bills got killed and by the end of the game the GANGSTERS in the crowd made our trip totally worth it by picking fights with every Bills fan who left early...yeah you happen to have beat the Bills but your team is the Cardinals who I think are annoying...But I will stop with that. We stayed at the Hyatt Place. OK seriously cool hotel. I found this place on Hotels.com and it was super cheap. We had a living area GIANT flat screen TV and a king size bed. I think I took a picture because I couldnt believe I got this hotel for this price. So here are some pics of the game.

So I was thinking that I am sort of a OCD type person... THere are many things that make me go UGH....and not all of them have to do with the cans all facing the same direction however some of them do.

5. Finding a smooshed cricket in my tennis shoe after I have already taught one class and the leg is stuck to my sock!

I had a funny thing happen to me the other day. As we all may know I am the Volleyball coach here in Arizona and I have heard a lot of excuses in my classes and in practice but I have never heard this one before.. so here goes... here is the conversation......

Player= "Coach can I talk to you?"
ME = Sure whats up
Player= I think I am gettin out volleyball (balleyball is how they say it here on the border)
Me= Why whats going on? (usually it is because they have to get a job to help their family, they aren't playing enough and they think it is still middle school and they have to have equal playing time.)
Player= Well its because I am going to be getting into Football.
ME= WHAT? (trying my hardest not to laugh,while thinking of the girl I knew who joined football and broke her arm in three spots and had to have surgery!)
Player= Its because next year is my senior year and I am planning on playing all my favorite sports...like....Volleyball, basketball and softball.
Me= Ok, so you can make your own decisions but I hope you realize that not playing your junior year will put you behind and you most likely won't play your favorite sport Volleyball your senior year!
Player= OK.

Ok so this is me thinking to myself.. what the crap... I dont' understand. I have heard them all I swear to my foot hurts to my mom grounded me and so on....or its to hot outside! But never have I heard this one! I thought it was funny. So whatever good luck to her I hope it doesn't involve the hospital and a cast!

Colorful Colorado

Colorado is the best! This was the Fourth of July in Ouray. These pictures are going over the Red Mountain pass and it is so cool!
