i hate the cold and snow poem. written by Holly (me)

I really do not like the cold, and driving in the snow,
but closer to my mom it is so that is where I will go.

I wish that I lived somewhere that was always warm and sunny
But it is true, I have no such luck, and also have no money.

I guess the snow can be sort of fun to play in and make a slide
But it would be even better sitting on the beach after a nice long boat ride.

A desert rat I am at heart and will probably never change
So keep the snow and give me the heat, I don't mind if you think I am strange.

this week

I have a few more boxes to pack, laundry, and I have to register Taylor and me into our schools. Then Friday, I am off to hang with my family on the Colorado river with no kids. Wow. I wonder how that is gonna be. I haven't had a break from them on quite a while.

The big move

We just arrived to our new home in Flagstaff Monday. It was all so hectic. I started the journey from our home in Oregon on 3 hours of sleep. I had last minute stuff to do before I picked Joe up at the airport. We had breakfast with my brother and some amazing friends that will be missed. After we left breakfast Saturday morning, we headed towards Salt Lake. I did not make it to the Idaho border before we had to stop to get a room. The next morning, we continued on to our cousin's house in American Fork. We stayed there for a few hours and cat-napped. We left there at 3 a.m. Monday and then stopped a while later so I could sleep at a gas station for an hour or so more. We finally reached Flagstaff.at 3:10 p.m. Monday afternoon. I am so happy that we had help unloading. My uncle showed up and brought his two friends and then Joe's mom, 2 sisters, brother-in-law, and their 3 kids showed up to help. We somehow got the whole truck unloaded and the house put mostly together in 2 days. I am so greatful for their help. Then I left for Vegas to see my friend before she left for Germany for work. Joe, Monkey, and I got sick this week with the flu. :( Angelica is one lucky girl. She didn't het sick. It is almost one week later and I am feeling so very tired.
Since there are some of you that don't have facebook, I have decided to start posting on my blog again to keep you up to date. I will post pics soon.

No more blogging

I welcome the New Year with open arms. It has been a rough year. Lots of ups and downs. Lots of struggles. I Hope everyone had a Happy New Year. I probably will not be blogging anymore. I have all of you on FB and I usually post the daily things there.

THRILLER!

Well, it is that creepy, spooky, crazy time of year. We decided that we should get Taylor into an actual dance something or other instead of her dancing on the soccer field. So, I put her in a dance thing put on with the McMinnville High dance team. It was a lot of fun to watch. Even if it was the BUSIEST week of my life. By the way, if you can't view this video for some reason, let me know and I will see if I can make it work. :)

Update.....

Well, life is going ok. We are doing a lot of home improvements for little to no $, which is always great. It is all coming along. I have been really busy between getting a resume together, church, and family. We have a ward camping trip in a couple of weeks and we have to go to get a new tent because my dad's dog chewed our last one up. I am really looking forward to it. I am really bummed that I haven't got a job yet, because we don't have a lot of money and I was hoping to make it to Utah to see some of my favorite people, this month. I am going to miss a wedding too. Sucks, but that is life. Could be worse. I am relly looking forward to a lot this year. I wasn't able to get in for summer term, but hopefully, I will be able to start the fall term. Between school and work, I should have a really busy couple of years. :) I am ok with that. But don't be surprised if I fall off the face of the earth for a while. I have some pics from our Vegas vacation, but I will post them soon.
