New and Proud Daddy as of May 29, 2010

We named him John Jackson, born May 29 at 4:17 am. He weighed 8lbs 6oz and 20 1/2 inches. And he was 12 days early. He is the 8th generation of John's, after Yancy (John Yancy Barnett). The Jackson is after my Grandpa, Warren Jackson. He is very loved, and held all the time.Image

Amy Jo Had A Birthday!!!

My little Amy turned 6 years old. She has her birthday outfit on that she bought with Grandma and Grandpa's birthday money. Uncle Jim, Aunt Kristy, Tyson, Kapri, Brock, Yancy, Aunt Robyn, Aunt Patti, and her kids all came to her party. We love you Amy Jo!Image

We had snow for Thanksgiving

We spent 5 days in Bayfield for Thanksgiving. It went by so fast. We ate, and played games, and ate, and played basketball, and ate, and played in the snow, and then ate some more.ImageIt's still the tradition for our unique head apparell. Amy found a free space to color a picture.

Image After the feast most everyone was helping clean up. These 3 yeahoos thought they would rest instead.

ImageGrandpa is now taking a rest with Uncle Tracy after he washed dishes for almost an hour.

Kaysie, Levi, and Amy were hoping it would snow so they could get pulled around on the 4wheelers in the fields. Luckily, it snowed just enough to cover all the cow pies. Levi and Amy had the first crash with many more to come. I was laughing so hard watching them laugh.

Yes, I think they are going backwards. And, I wonder if they could fit one more person on? Image

Kaysie made the first snowman!

Our other family member

I had to write about our other family member. We got him January 2006 from a disgusting, flea infested home. I got brave and went against family pet guidelines, and was the first to own an indoor cat in a few generations. But he made our home a little happier at the time and still does. We call him "kitty" because that's all he comes to. He's always sleeping in the middle of the kids just as sprawled out as they are. Or sometimes I wake up wondering who is taking up all the room in my king size bed and it's him. You don't dare push him over or he'll attack your hand. He's made for some interesting times, bringing in mice, birds, beatles, and huge grasshoppers, oh and some girlfriends too.
