Thanksgiving 2012

We had a fantastic Thanksgiving this year.  We were able to spend time with my sister, brother in law and new baby nephew (check out his cheeks, I LOVE him) and my parents.  I attempted to take a family picture for a Christmas card this year but it didn't exactly turn out the way I hoped.  You will notice Caidence's Pilgrim hat in a few.  She was very proud of the hat she made in Kindergarten and wore it three days in a row, she was quite dissapointed when Thanksgiving was over... I am sure a new hat will come along for Christmas.

The Wild Man

Sawyer is already 16 months, last Sunday he decided he was big enough to walk down the front steps by himself.  I couldn't believe it my baby is getting so big!  He loves to scream MEEMEE in the morning so that I know to get him out of his crib, insists on feeding himself, LOVES to play outside and will scream when it is time to come in.  LOVES to watch sports and constantly tries to run onto the field with his own baseball during Nicolas's practice, points at everything and asks "what's that", uses the dog as a stool to get what he wants, bushes his teeth 10 times a day, proudly climbs EVERYTHING, LOVES his shoes, snuggles his Perry every night and MUST have his nigh-night to go to sleep.  This little guy talks all day long, I love it!  Mimics everything his siblings do.  Crawls under me while I am doing yoga, sits in his dads lap while he is doing homework.  Loves to read, his favorite book is Goodnight Moon.

Christmas

We had such a great Christmas this year.  Nothing is better than spending time with family.  We tried a new family Christmas Eve dinner that I think we will make a tradition.  After dinner we watched Mr. Krugers Christmas, dad read Luke 2, and Marc continued his grandparents tradition of reading Twas the Night Before Christmas.  The kids sang to everyone, I was very proud, and then talked up the chimney to Santa (a Hansen tradition).  The kids and I made chocolate chip cookies for Santa and quickly off to bed they went!  We enjoyed Church Christmas morning and opening gifts.  We cooked a fabulous Christmas dinner of  prime rib, mashed potatoes, butternut squash soup, rolls and vegetables.  We spent the rest of the week exploring new places, laughing, eating, laughing and eating.
