Today I have been filled with gratitude for my little Ainsley. She is such a peaceful baby... very different from our experience with Reagan.
Little experiences are constantly reminding us of how different/difficult life was with our baby Reagan and how grateful we are to have a happy baby now. For example, this morning I laid Ainsley down on our bed so I could finish a few tasks on the computer. The fact that she will lay down and be content is a different experience in itself but today took us to a whole new level of appreciation. Ainsley started to get a little fussy. She wasn't crying but more whining and I knew she was probably getting cold and tired. I talked to her for about five minutes while I finished my tasks and then stood to pick her up and to my suprise, she was asleep. This may seem perfectly normal to the rest of the population but Marcus and I were shocked. I picked her up and cuddled her for a moment before putting her in her crib. We are like first-time parents all over again.
