4 Months!

Today sweet Beau Elias turned four months old! It is AMAZING to see how he's getting more social and playful. Here are some of the things Beau's up to:

• Sleeping between 6-8 hours at a time at night! This is HUGE!
• Smiling when he wakes up (melts my heart)
• Starting to want to bounce and LOVES standing
• Has mastered the art of going from tummy to back
• Is SO interested in whatever Brandon or I have to eat or drink and will copy our mouth gestures
• Is starting to squeal...so cute!
• Prefers bedtime in his bed, but still really loves if Mom cuddles with him for nap time
• Now thinks its fun to start playing while eating (this can make eating take a little longer)
• Laughs with his Daddy constantly (these two are quite the presh pair!)

We are just in awe of God's creation and the joy that Beau continues to bring to our lives. Beau, you're four months old and we just continue to love you more with each passing day!

Fam Time

This weekend we went to Crandall to celebrate Brandon's Pepaw being honored with an elementary school being named after him. The celebration was so amazing and it was such an honor to be there. Pepaw is such a great example of a follower who is devoted to spreading the Word. He writes a packet full of articles based on Godly principles and matters concerning salvation and we always get one before we leave. But that's not even the most awesome thing in regards to that. He sends out these packets to FOURTEEN churches and numerous individuals and pays to have them printed all by himself. His dedication to spreading the news is such inspiration for Brandon and me. We took some time after everyone left to just hang out and talk with Memaw and Pepaw. It was so wonderful to just get to sit and have some time talking about God and life. Memaw just loved getting all that time with Beau as well! We are so blessed by them and love them so dearly. Congratulations Pepaw!

New Experiences

The boy spent today trying new things; namely riding Huck and raising his head up quite well on his tummy. Before this week tummy time had been quite a chore and something the sweet buddy didn't look too forward to, but now that he can look around while on his tummy, its gotten SO much better!

We got this book at the Christian book store for 50% off! It's by the author that wrote "A Man After God's Own Heart." It's wonderful and has been great to read not only to Beau, but for Mom and Dad as well!

Beau listened quite well as his daddy spent some quality time reading with him...always a joy to see these two in their bonding moments!

New Friends

Beau is finally starting to take notice of Huck and Annie. This morning he just could NOT stop staring at them as they played with each other in the living room. It was too cute. So we got on the floor with the pups and had them stay while Beau got to touch them...he loved it! I think the pups are getting better about him, but their affection for him still has a little ways to go. That's ok. He'll be around whenever they decide they're ready. :)

When You're Cool, the Sun's Always Out

The boy and I were playing around in the bathroom today...we had so much fun! Beau first tried this hat and pair of sunglasses on right after we brought him home...the poor thing was swallowed in them! It's amazing the change in 3 months! He's also sitting up like such a big boy. Not much else to say other than I'm totally in love with this little boy. Seriously, how could you not be??
