Easter 2013

This year for Easter the kids and I went to St. George while Mason headed to Moab for the Jeep safari.

It was so nice and warm in St. George.  We spent almost every minute we could outdoors.

Saturday morning we headed across the street to the middle school to launch rockets, it seems to be becoming a super fun family tradition.

The littles loved sitting on the sign while the rockets were being launched.

063

Audrey and especially Hudson could not get enough of Grandpa Rogers!

068

Audrey insisted on wearing her sun glasses the entire morning.

The kids and their rockets.  Except for Audrey, who’s just pretending to hold up a rocket.  I promised her that next time we would definitely get one!

After rockets, we went to the Virgin river for a picnic and to play in the water.  It was actually so warm that those of us that weren’t in the water were pretty miserable.  No pictures.  I was too afraid of dropping my phone in the water!

After the river we headed back to Grandma’s and the kids played outside all day long!  I don’t think I’ve ever seen my children so dirty!

071

Audrey had a blast playing with her girly cousins; Abby, Elsie, and Brooke.

072

Hudson played with this truck the entire weekend!

073

Sooo dirty! Check out his socks!

079

On Monday, we finally made it to the carousel downtown.   Both Audrey and Hudson LOVED it!  I got a little sick, but the kids could have gone all day long!

We love spending time at Grandpa and Grandma Rogers and can’t wait till we get to go again!

Favorites from January to March

We laid pretty low from January through March.  It was super cold this year and that combined with a nasty inversion made it pretty miserable outside.  We spent about 90% of the time indoors and got creative with what we had.  Here are the creative ways we spent our winter indoors.

We  got creative while sleeping.  I love the picture of Audrey and Grandma Livingston…especially when you see on the clock that it’s already 9 am!

Christmas…Again.

A few weeks before Christmas, we headed down to Huntington so Mason could go coyote hunting.  While we were there, the City of Huntington, of which Mason’s dad is a city councilman  put on their annual Christmas dinner.  We had some yummy food and then the kids were able to sit on Santa’s lap and tell him what they wanted.

005

As I mentioned in a previous post, Hudson had a really rough December.  These pictures are proof.  Hudson is normally never sitting still.

Wouldn’t be a proper Christmas post without a picture of Christmas loot!

019

The left half of the chair is Hudson’s and the right is Audrey’s.  And no, your eyes aren’t deceiving you, Hudson did get two bikes.  Santa just could not decide which one he would like better.  So one stays at our house and the others stays at Grandma Livingston’s house.

One of my favorite Holiday traditions is Kris Kringle…aka…Mrs. Santa Clause.  On New Years Eve we set a plate on the table and she brings treats and one more toy while we are sleeping.

Christmas 2012

We had Christmas in Huntington with Mason’s family this year.  It was so nice to not have to get on a plane and pack for 2 weeks.  We are so happy to be home!

We had a grand total of 26 people  for Christmas.  It was pretty crazy!

I had to take advantage of having all 14 grandkids in the same place…I tried to take some pictures.  See for yourself how well they turned out!

It snowed a lot while we were in Huntington.  The kids had a blast getting pulled in the canoe!

Tara and I made all of the pajama pants for Christmas…that’s 26 pairs.  We were so relieved to see that they all fit who they were made for!

That night they also performed a nativity.  Audrey  got to be Mary and had a blast.
