The Big Move

Well, considering it has been well over a year, it's probably time that I actually post something. Right? I couldn't decide if I wanted to keep blogging or not so I just kind of didn't do anything. Matt recently got a new job and we packed up the family and moved. I figure this is a great way for our family, that we miss dearly, to see what we have been up to.

Image

So far the move has been good. Mikelle has made quite a few new friends. We even have a carpool group. Yay for carpooling! I still can't believe that she started Middle school! Can you believe she is this old already? I can't! How did she ever grow up so fast?
She is so helpful sweet and talented! I don't know what I'd do without her

Image
Kassidee has made a few friends at school. She also plays with our next door neighbor (doing gymnastic stuff.) She still hasn't made any friends her age in our neighborhood but I'm sure that she will. The Elementary school does year round and most of our neighborhood is on track A and we are on D. I'm sure she will make some great friends after she starts going to Activity Days more often and is around more neighborhood kids.
Kass has gotten really good at gymnastics. She can do really good backbends and is practicing her back handsprings. She is almost in a full split and is very flexible. She is constantly busy and moving around.

Funniest thing she said recently was when she was mad at us. She stormed into the garage and said, "Fine playing with a box is more fun than our house!"
She is doing really well in school and likes her teacher a lot.

ImageLogan has started going to sleep in his own bed without any fussing and sleeping through the night. He usually comes in to our room early in the morning and goes back to sleep on a blanket I put for him on our floor. He has been acting so much older lately. He starts preschool today. I am really hoping that it goes well because he has had no desire whatsoever to go to school. They also wear sippers and I'm really worried about that. He HATES slippers with a passion. It's some kind of sensory issue. He doesn't like the way they feel. He also doesn't like singing cause it hurts his ears. I guess we will see how it all works out.
This kid is funny! He just started getting into Star Wars and Transformers, Hercules,  and other things with "guys."
He lines up his legos like they are guys. Then He will say, "Ready Attack! Boo yeah! You have been defeated!"
I caught him lining them up and he said,"In the name of Jesus Christ... Gooooo! (insert crashing sound effects here.) You are defeated!"I laughed so hard.

I was helping him get dressed and he says, "Mom, boys have a penis and a bum." I said, "Yes, they do." He says,"Girls have two bums!" I tried so hard not to laugh.

He refused to change his shirt before school today. It had an ice cream spill on it. He wanted to wear it because it would be funny when daddy got home. He loves and looks up to his daddy so much.

He came up and gave me the biggest hug and said, "Mommy, I think you are an angel." It melted my heart. Then he proceeded with, "You only get one hug cause daddy gets the rest of the hugs and kisses." Stinker. Then I chased him around trying to get more and he was yelling back, "Never Neeevvveeerrr!" Silly silly boy.

Out of the blue he looks up from what he's doing and says, Mom, you are not the boss of me!" I said, "You're right. We have rules that keep us happy and safe and you choose if you want to follow them." He was quiet for a minute and then says, "Well you seem really  bossy to me!"

I said, "Logan, where are your shoes buddy? They're the only ones that fit you right now." He says, "It's cause they're playing hide and seek."  Man, I hate hiding shoes.

When Adria cries he throws his hands in the arms and exclaims, "I can't handle it anymore! I just can't handle it Age!"

Adria threw some coins in the bathtub. Logan says, "She must be making a wish!"
When he makes wishes it is always for ice cream. I like that wish.

Logan says, "Mom, mom, come quick! Agie has a radish on her bum!" I say, "A what? "He says, "A radish!"  I finally get it, "Oh, a rash!" He says,"Oh, yeah that right. I thinks that's what it's called. A rash."
Logan found the girl's house keys. He wants one really bad. He keeps showing me how big he is and said, "Bbbbuuut Mom, I'm not allergic to keys! I just really need one so bad!"

He was playing kitties and he says, "Mommy you can keep me cause you are not allergic to me. Only other kitties you are allergic to."

ImageAdria is so funny AND scary. She has such a funny personality and is such a busy bee. She loves to climb on everything, and get into everything, and eat everything (like dead bugs in the garage or dog food. gross!) and just keep us on our toes ALL the time. She has a blanket obsession and has to be carrying around a bazillion everywhere we go.
She used to talk quite a bit but has taken a break from it. She's starting to say words again. Mostly, "No!" or "Meow." She does lots of animal noises.
Logan and Adria love to play kitties. She copies everything he does. They talk in a really high pitch voice and rub against my leg and play in their kitty beds. I love it!
Adria loves to go for walks. She even loves to just sit in her stroller in the house. She is scary at the park. She walks straight off the slides and climbs up things meant for the big kids. She also loves to sit in things, anything. If there is a box or a bowl or anything she dumps it out and sits in it. She is such a sweetie and we just love her to pieces!

Image
This box is from Sunrise Tire. It had toys in it that she dumped out to sit in it.

ImageImage
Did I also mention she loves to be naked and sit in things?

or is this her favorite chair?
Matt is liking his new job and so far everyone is doing well. I think after this crazy busy Summer I am ready to take a nap forever! We have been busy but it has been fun and good for our family. We really like the area that we are in. We are next to a fishing pond with a little park. There are horse trails instead of jogging trails. I love that! There are little parks or big grassy areas everywhere you go. Chances are there is going to be a park by you wherever you live. There is a reservoir only for swimming and the kids love that. Watching the sunrise in the mornings is absolutely beautiful.

Taken with my phone on Mikelle's first day of school.
The rec center is awesome and we got discounted passes since Matt works for the county. We have also been able to do a lot of things with our pass of all passes, Trafalga, Seven Peaks etc.

We also went to Lagoon this Summer and had a blast. Overall, it's been a good move for us. There's only one thing I miss more than anything and wish I could have taken with us....

This little cutie! Well, and everyone else that we left behind too! We miss all of you sooooo much!

Kass

Image

This girl is funny and quirky! I love most of the things that she says and does. We are always finding lists or little notes that she makes. She loves to make stuff for me and they make my day.

My mother's day card said:

Dear Mom, I love you. I hope I can live with you forever. If you weren't here right now I wouldn't have had a fun birthday party. Thanks for  everything you do.
Your daughter,
Kassidee.

Then all over the outside she wrote things like:
You rock! I love you for life!
You're the best! Thanks!

One day we were in the car and Mikelle says, "What's wrong with you? You have ADD or something! You are always doing weird things." I said, "Well, that's ironic." (If anyone has ADD it's Mikelle. She can never sit still or sit long enough to concentrate on anything.) Mikelle says, "What does that mean?" I sit there stammering for a minute... trying to sort of explain "ironic." Kass says, "You mean like the Ironic Priesthood?" Matt and I busted out laughing and then explained that it was the Aaronic Priesthood.

I made cookies the other day and Mikelle and Kass wanted to take some to their teachers with a little note. Mikelle's said: You're so greeat, Mr. B. Thanks so much for teaching me!

Well, I'm not sure what Kassidee's ended up saying but we found some rough drafts on the table the next day.
One said: Of all the Fishels in the sea, I'm so glad you're here with me! From: Kassidee (Your student)
On the back it was written in cursive: You taught me how to write cursive. Thanks!  (Practice)
She drew pictures of fish on it. LOL

The other one said: Mrs. Fishel, You're so great! Have a cookie! Let's celebrate!

I hope it made her teacher's day because it sure made mine!

Love that girl! I can't believe she's already 9 and I can't believe that she wears a half size smaller in shoes than me and a half size bigger than her older sister!

I am not his best friend

Image
I love my little Logi bear! He can be so sweet! He can also be quite a little stinker! He loves to tease and one of the best ways to get him to do something is to use reverse psychology, just tell him he can't do it. He is so extremely stubborn. I think he might even be more stubborn than Kass (and that is saying a lot!)

It is rare if we can get him to nap or nap at a reasonable hour. However, he really, really, really NEEDS a nap.

He loves to watch cartoons on my computer. I love the picture of him falling asleep in the computer chair. Silly boy!
He is not my best friend. Daddy and Mia are his best friends. Sometimes even Mikelle is his best friend.  He loves me and he always gives me kisses and loves but I am not his best friend.

I love being able to observe and watch kids grow. He just hit one of my favorite stages, the pretend stage. He is commonly "kitty" and he meows and rubs my leg. I also have to call him "Kitty." He calls Mikelle "Puppy" and leads her around and tells her basic commands. One day he was playing puppy with her, and he says, "Here puppy eat dis!"  She does. (Really Kell? What where you thinking eating something when you had no idea what it was?) She says, "Ewwww, what is that?" Logan says, "Oh it just a wittle Pea crisp!"  Ha ha ha It was seriously sooooo funny! By the way, pea crisps really aren't that bad. They're chips made out of peas and other veggies. Apparently she doesn't like them.

Image

Image
He  can be pretty grumpy, especially when asked to do something that he does not want to do.

Image
When you try to take a picture of him he squints his eyes and says, "Cheese!" I really wish he wouldn't  because I am having a really difficult time getting good pictures of him now.
Image

HE has a love / jealousy relationship with new baby sister. He is so rough with her. I feel like I can't get anything done because I'm so afraid he's going to hurt her if I look away for a second. He gives love bonks (head butts), and pulls on her little arms, and steps on her, licks her etc etc. I'm not really sure how to get him to stop or to understand he's hurting her. Right now we're trying to teach him to be soft and encourage the good things he does, like when he kisses her head or talks sweet to her.
Image

Image

Image
He is obsessed with Angry Birds. HE wants an Angry Bird birthday. Yes, his fingernails are painted in this picture. No, we do not encourage that, but what can you do? He has older sisters! Poor kid, I'm sure there will be lots of black mail pictures when he's older.

I love the things that he says. I really need to start writing them down cause they are so cute and funny.
Me (playing a game): I'm not doing so well today!
Logan: Yes, you do. You just awesome!
Me: Thanks buddy!
Logan: Well, that wasn't so good!
He saw a picture of a pig and said, "Mmmmmm ham!" a cow and said, "Mmmm.. hamburger!"
Logan woke up one morning (after coughing all night long) and says, "I don't feel good. Bless my heart!"
Logan: I have hiccups in my tummy!
Me: Oh no! What are you going to do?
Logan: I say, "Hey hiccup boys, you can't get out!"
Logan: "Mom, I not dorable.... but you can still eat me up!"
Any time he doesn't like what you tell him he gets mad and says, "Stop saying those words! We don't use those words!"
Kass and Logan get in fights all the time. They're both stubborn. My favorite was when she was trying to get him to say sorry.
Kass: Logan say sorry!
Logan: I don't know that word!
Kass: Say sorry Logan!
Logan: We don't say those words.
(Irony: He will tell you to say sorry any time you do something he doesn't like.)
He likes watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He said, "Be Bop and Rock Steady, they naughty boys, huh?" He calls all the bad guys naughty guys or bad guys.
We saw an interesting guy at the park and Logan says, "He a bad guy, huh?" I said, "No, we don't know him. He's a stranger and we don't know if he's nice or not." Logan says, "Well, if he's a stranger then he's a naughty guy."
He like Phineas and Ferb and I love the way he says, Phineas AAANNNDDD Ferb." He always pronounces the "and" really loud and long.
I was trying to get him to try a cookie. He didn't want to and I said, "Try it, you'll like it!" He said,"How do you know?" I said, "I know everything." He tried and and said, "Wow! You really do know everything!"  I have to write this down because I know I will never ever hear that again.
I really wish I could remember everything that he says because he makes me laugh daily.

Where did the time go?

3 weeks (Best picture I could get with all 3 kids! We'll try again another day)

4 weeks

Image
She holds her head up so well. She is so strong and alert. She has to know what's going on all the time.
Image
I love these cute little toes.

Image
I love her cute little grins! She loves being talked to.

Image

Image
I also love the rare occasion when Logan is nice to her. He's not usually intentionally mean but he sure is rough with her.
Where did the time go? I can't believe this little cutie is already a month old.

Things about Adria at 1 month:
*She is so strong! She needs to be because she has a big brother that is pretty rough with her.
*She has to know what is going on at all times. She can't stand not being able to see everything.
*She loves the bath. If she's fussy at all we just give her a bath and she settles down.
*I adore her smiles and grins. She's so happy and content in the morning.
*I love her chubby cheeks and cute tiny toes!
* She HATES the car! She pretty much cries the whole time she is in the car seat. It makes for a horrible car ride.
*She loves to be held and I do not know what I'd do without my ERGO carrier.

Love this baby!

I've decided that I can just never ever blink or before I know she'll be all grown-up! Are Mikelle and Kassidee really that old? I keep telling myself, "No!"

Funny story: At church the lady next to Mikelle leaned over and asked how old her sister was. Mikelle said, "Eight almost nine!" The lady said, "No, your baby sister!"  Mikelle, said, "Oh, a month I think."
